NCT02601209
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of sapanisertib and to see how well it works compared to pazopanib hydrochloride in treating patients with sarcoma that is too large to be removed (locally advanced) or has spread to other areas of the body (metastatic). Sapanisertib and pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT05237271
QURE will use its CPV technology in a randomized controlled trial to measure how SomaLogic's diagnostic test (the Cardiovascular Disease in Type 2 Diabetes) changes clinical practice and improves patient outcomes.
NCT02969395
The purpose of this study is to evaluate product performance of Magnetic Resonance (MR) Conditional Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) following 3 tesla (3T) MRI exposure. This will be achieved by evaluating the changes in pacing capture threshold (PCT) measurements following 3T MRI scan exposure. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of 3T MRI compatible labeling of applicable CIED systems. This study is conducted within Medtronic's post-market surveillance platform, the Product Surveillance Registry (PSR).
NCT03970382
This is a first in human, single arm, open label, Phase 1a/1b study to determine the safety, feasibility, and efficacy of a single dose of NeoTCR-P1 T cells in participants with solid tumors.
NCT02552212
Patients with active Axial Spondyloarthritis without x-ray evidence of Ankylosing Spondylitis and with signs of inflammation will be randomly assigned to receive certolizumab pegol (CZP) 200 mg every two weeks or placebo. The primary objective is to demonstrate the efficacy of CZP in these patients.
NCT02230189
This protocol describes a single site mechanistic study to investigate microRNAs (miRNAs) that are differentially expressed in the airway epithelium of patients with asthma at baseline and in response to allergen challenge. We hypothesize that allergen exposure enhances airway smooth muscle contractility and epithelial cell mRNA/miRNA production as a consequence of locally increased T-cell derived cytokine production. The study will involve three visits over the course of approximately 14 days. At Visit 1, participants will be characterized in detail with lung function testing, methacholine challenge testing, and allergen skin prick testing. At Visit 2, participants will undergo bronchoscopy with segmental allergen administration of either cat or dust mite standardized allergen extract. At Visit 3 (either 24 hours later or 7 days later), bronchoscopy will be performed to collect airway samples including bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), epithelial brushings and endobronchial biopsies. Sample analysis will include measurement of miRNA and mRNA expression in epithelial brushings (RNAseq and qPCR); analysis of cell surface markers on BAL cells and blood cells; and collection of endobronchial biopsies for immunostaining of immune cells localization, immunoblotting of smooth cell protein phosphorylation, analysis of mucin content and smooth muscle cell subculture. A total of 38 subjects (26 asthmatics with stable or well-controlled asthma, 6 allergic non-asthmatics and 6 non-allergic non-asthmatics) will complete the study.
NCT02808871
The purpose of this study is to to assess the safety and tolerability of pirfenidone 2403 mg/day for the treatment of RA-associated interstitial lung disease.
NCT03327909
For patients with kidney failure requiring hemodialysis treatment, sometimes the blood pressure will drop too low during dialysis. In an effort to prevent that from occurring, patients are frequently told to skip doses of their blood pressure medications. However, whether this actually prevents blood pressure drops during dialysis, and whether it may cause more uncontrolled high blood pressure is unknown. TAKE-HOLD will study the effect of taking or holding blood pressure medication on blood pressure for patients on hemodialysis.
NCT03987672
The study is a self-controlled study in which we will assess the nutritional effects of the Kate Farm Peptide 1.5 nutritional Formula in patients with gastroparesis, relative to their pre-enrollment nutritional diet regimen.
NCT03414047
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of prexasertib in women with platinum-resistant or refractory recurrent ovarian cancer.
NCT04693247
This study is exploratory and examines whether the best-corrected visual acuities (BCVA's) from trial frames created with the refraction results obtained from a novel handheld optical device yields results similar to the ophthalmic refraction obtained from an autorefractor in healthy volunteers age stratum of 18 through 65 years.
NCT04534101
Adults and children undergoing medical care (inpatient or outpatient) often experience pain and anxiety either as a result of their medical condition or a side effect of medical procedures. The purpose of this study is to create a registry of patients using virtual reality (VR) mindfulness therapy through different aspects of their medical care to determine if VR mindfulness therapy is more effective than the standard of care (i.e., no technology based distraction) for treating or preventing anxiety and pain in adults and children suffering from chronic pain, GI conditions where pain is a common symptom, or undergoing any painful medical procedure (i.e. IV access, blood draws, endoscopy, surgery). The anticipated primary outcome will be reduction of pain and anxiety for both acute and chronic pain.
NCT03338998
This is a randomized, placebo-controlled, subject and investigator-blinded study to evaluate efficacy, safety and tolerability of BAF312 in participants with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)
NCT03064854
The primary purpose of this study is to establish the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended dose for expansion (RDE) of PDR001 when administered in combination with platinum-doublet chemotherapy and other immunooncology agent(s) in treatment naive patients with PD-L1 unselected, advanced NSCLC, and to estimate the preliminary anti-tumor activity in this patient population.
NCT00628199
This is a research study in which your cells will be used for somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT), and/or genetic reprogramming research which may result in the production of stem cell lines. This study does not provide treatment.
NCT05504499
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the use of Aurora Spine ZIP™ MIS Interspinous Fusion System and bone graft material in fusion in patients with chronic low back pain that present with degenerative disc disease with concurrent neurogenic claudication.
NCT03813160
This is a Phase 3 multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study assessing the efficacy and safety of lenabasum for the treatment of dermatomyositis. Approximately 150 subjects will be enrolled in this study at about 60 sites in North America, Europe, and Asia. The planned duration of double-blind treatment with study drug is up to 52 weeks.
NCT02795897
The purpose of this study is to look for abnormal genes and gene expression profiles that help determine why a person develops amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and related motor neuron diseases (MND) and why their symptoms present and progress with a particular pattern.
NCT02267863
This study is being done to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of APTO-253 for the treatment of patients with the condition of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) for which either the standard treatment has failed, is no longer effective, or can no longer be administered safely or poses a risk for your general well being.
