RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fluorouracil, epirubicin, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen is more effective in treating breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying two combination chemotherapy regimens to compare how well they work in treating women who have undergone surgery for breast cancer that has not spread to the lymph nodes.

The investigators propose a 4 year prospective, observational study of 40 patients yearly, comparing conventional clinically indicated SPECT and PET perfusion with dynamic rest/stress MPI studies with coronary angiography, in some cases performed with quantitative coronary anatomy and flow as well as quantitative 13N-ammonia PET MPI. Methods will also be assessed for their ability to determine myocardial viability by comparing regional wall motion (WM) on clinically indicated serial ventriculography, echocardiography or gated SPECT MPI in those protocol patients with WM abnormalities who subsequently undergo revascularization. Patient studies will begin in the first study year based on those methods already developed and integrate new advances as they become evident.

This randomized phase III trial studies sorafenib tosylate and doxorubicin hydrochloride to see how well they work compared with sorafenib tosylate alone in treating patients with liver cancer that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes or has spread to other places in the body. Sorafenib tosylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether giving sorafenib tosylate together with doxorubicin hydrochloride is more effective than sorafenib tosylate alone in treating liver cancer.

This study is designed to study DNA sequencings for mutations in a research genetic test panel of genes (which contains all 32 known and/or published genes associated with PCD). The study aims to show that about 70% of PCD patients have biallelic mutations in one of these genes. This project will enroll patients who have already had a clinical evaluation, and have clinical features consistent with PCD.

Inhaled particles, including microbes that can cause infections, are normally entrapped in mucus on the airway surfaces and then cleared out by the coordinated action of tiny hair-like structures called cilia. Individuals with primary ciliary dyskinesia, variant cystic fibrosis, and pseudohypoaldosteronism have defective mucociliary clearance. The purpose of this study is to collect clinical and genetic information about these three airway diseases to improve current diagnostic procedures.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a disease where the blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries (PAP) is high. PAH increases the risk of adverse events, including death, during and or after procedures. The severity of baseline PAH correlates with the incidence of major complications, such that those with PAP higher than their systemic blood pressure (SBP) had a 8 fold increased risk of complications. These children present for procedures where an acute exacerbation of their chronic illness-termed Pulmonary Hypertensive (PH)crisis, can occur, often resulting in death if not detected and managed expeditiously. The Multidisciplinary Approach to the Study of Chronic Pelvic Pain (MAPP) Research Network has been established by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to focus on a broader approach to the study of Interstitial Cystitis (IC)/ Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS) in men and women, and Chronic Prostatitis (CP)/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) in men, than previously undertaken. Patients with IC or CP are being recruited for a new study called the "Trans-MAPP Study of Urologic Chronic Pelvic Pain: Symptom Patterns Study (SPS). This research study will recruit Control Participants to better understand the symptoms of individuals with some form of IC or CP. As with many chronic pain disorders, IC and CP are poorly understood, and treatment is often not helpful. The goal of this study is to better understand how pain is felt in people with IC or CP and the investigators hope that this study will lead to improvement in the treatment of IC and CP.

This open-label, randomized study will assess the efficacy and safety of obinutuzumab (RO5072759) in combination with chemotherapy compared to rituximab (MabThera/Rituxan) with chemotherapy followed by obinutuzumab or rituximab maintenance in participants with untreated advanced indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. After the end of the induction period, participants achieving response (Complete response \[CR\] or partial response \[PR\]) will undergo a maintenance period continuing on the randomized antibody treatment alone every 2 months until disease progression for a total of 2 years. Anticipated time on study treatment is up to approximately 2.5 years. After maintenance or observation, participants will be followed for 5 years until progression. After progression, participants will be followed for new anti-lymphoma therapy and overall survival until the end of the study.

The purpose of this "first-in-human" study of PDR001 was to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and antitumor activity of PDR001 administered i.v. as a single agent to adult patients with solid tumors. By blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, PDR001 inhibits the PD-1 immune checkpoint, resulting in activation of an antitumor immune response by activating effector T-cells and inhibiting regulatory T-cells.

This is a randomized trial for the treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection in high-risk adults not requiring hospital admission.The overarching goal of this study is to assess the effectiveness of interventions on the incidence of lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) progression among high-risk adult outpatients with SARS-CoV-2 infection to inform public health control strategies.
