NCT01441492
This randomized prospective trial is designed to test the hypothesis that pancreatectomy without routine intraperitoneal drainage does not increase the severity or frequency of complications within 60 days of surgery.
NCT02644668
This study will evaluate the pharmacodynamic (PD) effect of CK-2127107 (hereafter referred to as reldesemtiv) versus placebo on measures of skeletal muscle function or fatigability in patients with Type II, III, or IV spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
NCT04075071
This pilot study aims to implement and evaluate Teacher-Child Interaction Training - Universal (TCIT-U), an empirically-supported classroom-based intervention aimed at improving child behavior and social-emotional skills through strengthening teacher-child relationships at a preschool that serves children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are at risk for behavioral health difficulties. The main objectives are to (a) examine TCIT-U's effects on teacher behavior, teachers' sense of efficacy, and child behavior problems and social-emotional skills compared to usual care (UC) and (b) explore the feasibility and acceptability of implementing TCIT-U at a diverse urban preschool.
NCT02634177
In this randomized clinical trial, subjects will be assigned to either an assay-guided treatment condition (AGT) or a treatment-as-usual condition (TAU). All subjects will provide a DNA sample at the Screening Visit for the Genecept Assay ™. In the AGT condition, assay results will be provided to the treating investigator, who will use the results to guide antidepressant pharmacotherapy. In the TAU condition, the investigator will treat the subjects without the knowledge of the pharmacogenetic testing results. Assay results for all subjects will be provided to the investigator once all Week 8 visit procedures have been completed. Raters of the primary endpoint assessment and subjects will remain blinded to treatment assignment.
NCT03036891
The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of naloxegol (a peripheral mu-opioid receptor antagonist \[PAMORA\]) in opioid-related gastroparesis on 1) symptoms of gastroparesis; 2) gastric emptying; and 3) pain control. The endpoints will be gastroparesis symptoms (PAGI-SYM), gastric emptying (GEBT), and pain control (McGill Pain Inventory). The hypothesis to be tested is that naloxegol improves symptoms of gastroparesis in patients who are taking opioids as well as improves their gastric emptying while maintaining control of patient's pain. This study will entail an initial double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, 4-week treatment period of naloxegol vs placebo in patients with opioid-related gastroparesis followed by a 4-week open label period to demonstrate the improvement in symptoms and gastric emptying with naloxegol.
NCT02971839
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of CTP-656 in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) who have a cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gating mutation.
NCT02961751
This study is a multi-center, single-arm, open-label clinical study to assess the efficacy of one dose of ciprofloxacin given orally in subjects infected with untreated gyrase A (gyrA) serine 91 genotype Neisseria gonorrhoeae (N. gonorrhoeae) as determined by a real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) assay. The study will enroll approximately 381 subjects to obtain an eligibility target of 257 subjects, per protocol, age 18 and older regardless of gender identification who are seeking care in Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) clinics of up to eight of the participating sites in the United States. Subjects who have untreated gyrA serine 91 genotype N. gonorrhoeae of the rectum, or male or female urogenital tract identified by a positive culture or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) conducted at a prior visit will be offered enrollment in the study. They will receive one dose of directly observed ciprofloxacin 500 milligrams. Subjects not consenting to participate in the study will receive treatment per local standard of care. The duration of the study for each subject will be approximately 11 through 14 days. The primary objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of ciprofloxacin for treatment of uncomplicated N. gonorrhoeae infections with gyrA serine 91 genotype.
NCT00868582
The Centers for Medicare \& Medicaid Services (CMS), as the Federal agency that administers the Medicare program, only pays for positron emission tomography (PET) scans in patients with cancer for certain reasons and for certain types of cancer. This study was developed to help CMS determine if they should pay for PET scans for additional reasons and additional types of cancer. In order to collect the information needed to decide which other types of cancer should be covered by Medicare, CMS will provide payment for the otherwise non-covered PET scans of patients who are properly registered with the National Oncologic PET Registry (NOPR). This information will then be analyzed to determine the effect PET scans had on the way physicians planned to treat their patients.
NCT03780205
The purpose for this study is to investigate spectacle compliance and treatment outcome in bilateral and unilateral refractive amblyopia in children age 3 to \<10 years old. Specifically, how frequently and for what duration is spectacle wear necessary to maximize best-corrected visual acuity by spectacle correction alone.
NCT03560518
The study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of 450 milligrams (mg) and 900 milligrams (mg) of Rapastinel, compared to placebo in participants with major depressive disorder (MDD).
NCT02867358
The purpose of this study is to investigate clinical efficacy of KT07 capsule in alleviation of fever and other symptoms including nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, aches and pains, fatigue, headache, chills or sweats in subjects with acute uncomplicated influenza.
NCT01610284
This study was a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled Phase III study to determine the efficacy and safety of treatment with buparlisib plus fulvestrant versus fulvestrant plus placebo in postmenopausal women with hormone Receptor-positive (HR-positive), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-negative), locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer (MBC) whose disease has progressed on or after aromatase inhibitor (AI) treatment.

A pivotal, prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled, double-blinded study combining active Nexstim NBS-guided 1Hz rTMS or sham-rTMS targeting the healthy hemisphere with standardized task oriented rehabilitation will be conducted in patients with post-stroke motor impairment. The therapy will be provided for 6 weeks and primary outcome assessed 6 months later.
NCT02343536
The goal of the study is to identify a dose and schedule of CC-486 that can be safely administered with R-CHOP. To evaluate the safety and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or the maximal administered dose (MAD) of CC-486 in combination with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) in subjects with high risk (IPI 2 or more) previously untreated DLBCL or Grade 3B FL. Also, to determine pharmacokinetics (PK) of CC-486 when administered alone and in combination with R-CHOP and to explore preliminary efficacy of CC-486 plus R-CHOP by 2007 International Working Group (IWG) criteria.
NCT03289624
SHARE-CC is an intervention for families facing the challenges of chronic conditions. SHARE-CC (Support, Help, Activities, Resources, and Education) addresses the need for both members of a care dyad to be actively involved in current and future care planning. This intervention aims to increase knowledge of services, improve communication skills and well-being, and facilitate the understanding of care values and preferences in order to create a mutually agreed upon care plan. This intervention will be tested in a randomized control trial.
