RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of carboxyamidotriazole and paclitaxel in treating patients with advanced solid tumors or refractory lymphomas.

PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of inhaled doxorubicin in treating patients who have advanced solid tumors affecting the lungs.

The primary objective of this study will be to determine the progression free survival of patients with stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with dual agent monoclonal antibody therapy consisting of cetuximab and bevacizumab in combination with two different regimens of paclitaxel and carboplatin chemotherapy.
