This randomized comparative clinical trial aims to evaluate the clinical, radiographic, and esthetic outcomes of flap versus flapless techniques for delayed dental implant placement in the maxillary esthetic zone. Sixteen patients requiring implant placement in the maxillary anterior or premolar region will be randomly allocated into two equal groups. Group I will undergo implant placement using the conventional flap technique, while Group II will receive implant placement using the flapless technique. Clinical outcomes including postoperative pain, edema, surgical insertion time, and implant stability will be assessed. Radiographic evaluation will include peri-implant bone quantity, bone quality, and crestal bone loss. Follow-up examinations will be performed immediately after surgery and at 1, 3 and 6 months postoperatively.

This prospective split-mouth clinical study will evaluate the effects of different plasma systems on the early microbiological colonization of implant healing abutments after implant surgery. Written informed consent will be obtained from all volunteers prior to participation. Before implant placement, all patients will be instructed to rinse with 0.2% chlorhexidine for 1 minute. Surgery will be performed under local anesthesia using articaine containing 1:100,000 epinephrine. Full-thickness flaps will be elevated, and implant-site osteotomies will be prepared under saline irrigation in accordance with the manufacturer's protocols. In all patients, four implants will be placed during the same surgical session. After completion of the osteotomies for all four implants, each implant site will be assigned, using the sealed-envelope method, to one of the following conditions: control, vacuum plasma, argon jet plasma, or cold atmospheric plasma. The corresponding healing abutment will then be placed, and the wound margins will be primarily sutured. The intervention arms will be defined as control, vacuum plasma, argon jet plasma, and cold atmospheric plasma, and these operational group labels will be used in all statistical analyses. In all groups, titanium Medentika healing abutments measuring 4.5 mm in diameter and 6 mm in length will be used; no pretreatment will be applied in the control group. In the cold atmospheric plasma group, plasma will be applied for 60 seconds using the piezobrush® PZ3 device manufactured by relyon plasma GmbH (Germany), with ambient air as the working gas (electrical connection: 110-240 V/50-60 Hz; maximum power consumption: 18 W). The nozzle-to-surface distance will be standardized at 5 mm, and the application angle will be kept perpendicular. In the argon jet plasma group, the same piezobrush® PZ3 device will be used with the Multigas Module and argon gas; a flow rate of 11 L/min will be provided via the regulator, and the application time, distance, and angle will be kept identical to those in the cold atmospheric plasma group. In the vacuum plasma group, a 60-second treatment will be applied using the Plasma Active device. The nominal technical specifications of the device are as follows: dimensions, 150 × 354 × 267 mm; capacitive touchscreen IPS LCD display; 2 treatment slots; chamber dimensions, 65 × 28 mm; treatment duration, 60-120 seconds; power supply, 220 V/50-60 Hz; and power consumption, ≤200 W. During the postoperative period, a standard care protocol will be applied to all patients; amoxicillin/clavulanate (or clindamycin in cases of penicillin allergy) will be prescribed for 7 days, ibuprofen for 3 days, and 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash twice daily. Sutures will be removed at postoperative week 1. At the same visit, the healing abutments will also be removed and sent for microbiological analysis, and new abutments will be placed in their position.

This prospective clinical study aims to evaluate the clinical performance of digitally assisted immediate implant placement and immediate loading in geriatric patients. The study will assess biological outcomes, including implant survival and marginal bone level changes, as well as mechanical complications and primary stability progression. Additionally, patient-reported outcomes such as pain, functional improvement, and esthetic satisfaction will be evaluated using visual analog scales. A fully digital workflow incorporating CBCT, intraoral scanning, and guided surgery will be utilized to enhance treatment accuracy and efficiency. Patients will be followed for 12 months to determine the predictability and effectiveness of this treatment approach in the elderly population.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if vertical position of the dental implant will affect the bone around the implant in place of a missing tooth that happens to be bounded by two natural teeth. It will also measure esthetics and patient satisfaction. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does vertical implant position below the crest of the bone lead to less marginal bone loss? Will it affect implant survival as well as quality of soft tissue, esthetics and patient satisfaction? This randomized controlled clinical trial aims to evaluate the effect of different biological drilling speeds (50, 150, and 300 rpm) during implant osteotomy preparation in the mandible on marginal bone level changes and implant stability. Thirty-nine patients requiring a single dental implant in the mandible will be randomly allocated into three groups according to drilling speed. All implants will be placed using a biological drilling protocol without irrigation. Implant stability will be measured using resonance frequency analysis at implant placement and follow-up visits. Marginal bone levels will be evaluated radiographically using standardized periapical radiographs during the follow-up period up to 12 months. The study aims to determine whether different low-speed drilling protocols influence peri-implant bone remodeling and implant stability.

This clinical trial evaluates how different surface treatments on a metal base (Ti-Base) affect the success of dental crowns on implants. Patients receiving a zirconia crown for a missing lower back tooth are divided into three groups: one group receives no special treatment on the metal base, one group receives a silica coating, and the third receives both a silica coating and a chemical primer. The study monitors these crowns for one year to see which treatment best prevents the crown from coming loose or breaking, while also checking the health of the surrounding gums.

60 implants were placed in patients seeking implantation of their lost posterior maxillary teeth (premolar and molars) with normal bone height beneath the floor of the maxillary sinus. The patients were selected from those attending the outpatient clinic of the Oral \& Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansoura University. 60 implants will be randomly and uniformly divided into two equal groups: Group 1: It was consisted of 20 inserted dental implants by Densah burs into healed posterior maxillary alveolar ridge with an early loading pattern. Group 2: It was consisted of 20 inserted dental implants by Magnetic Mallet technique into healed posterior maxillary alveolar ridge with an early loading pattern. Group 3: It was consisted of 20 inserted dental implants by Conventional Drilling technique into healed posterior maxillary alveolar ridge with an early loading pattern.

The study will examine the temporary volumetric change that happens in the gums around an implant crown when the crown is removed. The main question of the study is "how much time has to pass to see a significant change, especially when there could be a need to make a mold of the surrounding gum to make a new crown?" The area of the implant crown will be scanned with an intra-oral scanner over a period of 15 minutes.

This study is a controlled, randomized clinical trial over about 16-months (active phase). 40 patients in need of replacement of a single tooth with a minimal crestal bone width of 4 - 5mm and suitable for simultaneous GBR (Guided Bone Regeneration) procedure as well as at least a neighboring tooth on its mesial aspect will be consecutively recruited at the Department of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Graz. Volunteers will be screened and eligible subjects will be randomized to two different groups. In group 1 implants with regular neck design (Astra Tech Implant EV C, Dentsply Implants Manufacturing GmbH, Hanau, Germany) and GBR procedure (BioOss® and BioGide®, Geistlich, Wolhusen, Schweiz) fixed with two membrane pins (Hipp Medical AG, Kolbingen, Germany) will be used; in group 2 implants with sloped marginal configuration (Astra Tech Implant Profile EV C, Dentsply Implants Manufacturing GmbH, Hanau, Germany) without bone augmentation are used. The dimension of the bony defect and amount of lingual-buccal bone height discrepancy (max. 5mm) respectively bone width will be evaluated using a 3-D volume tomography (Planmeca ProMax® 3D Max, Planmeca, Helsinki, Finland), which is needed for digital planning (Simplant Planning Software, Leuven, Belgium) of the implant position, length and diameter as well.

Rationale Over the past decades, the placement of dental implants and prosthetic rehabilitation has revolutionised dentistry overwhelmingly. It is generally regarded as a safe and reliable method due to the high predictability and survival rates. Survival of suprastructure and implant, health status of the peri-implant tissues and radiographic peri-implant marginal bone loss are commonly used criteria to assess the implant treatment outcome. Although this way of treatment evaluation is important to develop and deliver safe dental implants, it does not provide sufficient information for the development of value-based healthcare. With this new approach of health outcome measurement, in which patient reported outcomes and clinical outcomes are combined, new definitions of success are created that transform dental implant health care by informed decision making, quality improvement and reducing costs. If dentists and oral surgeons make treatment decisions based on this comprehensive health outcome, patients are more likely to receive high quality care and payers only pay for services that achieve results. Therefore, the development of an implant dentistry specific question set, a Dental Implant Standard Set, capturing both the clinicians' and patients' perspective of implant-related health outcomes is of utmost clinical relevance. Objective(s) A combination of patient-reported outcomes and clinical health outcomes in a Dental Implant Standard Set enables clinicians to evaluate care delivery and to compare performance in a comprehensive and meaningful way. Therefore, the main aim for this project is to implement a workable Dental Implant Standard Set for the dental implant professional to monitor and improve clinicians and patients' perception of peri-implant health following dental implant treatment, and to monitor and improve the performance of dental implant practice as a whole. Study type This is a prospectively designed multicenter cohort study including 30 dental practices in the Netherlands and Spain Study population A total of 1000 consecutive patients will be included by the participating dental practices within 12 months. Questionnaires regarding the clinical outcomes are administered to the dentists providing the dental implant care. PROMs are administered to the participating patients. Generally, patients aged 18-70 years that have an indication for implant supported fixed single or multiple tooth replacement or implant-supported removable prosthesis are eligible to participate. Methods the questionnaires are administered to the participating dentist (for clinical outcomes) and patients (Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in combination with the collection of clinical and case mix variables at 6 time points: before and at implant placement, at prosthesis placement and 10-12 months after implant placement. The PROMs is administered via a Questionnaire Manager (QM), that is developed by an external company. Within the QM also case mix and clinical data are registered Burden and risks No risks are involved throughout the study The concise questionnaires to the patients and participating dentist will be a limited burden to the standard dental implant care. Recruitment and consent Treating clinicians will recruit participants for this project. Clinicians will provide the patient with a brief overview of the study. Participants will receive a digital questionnaire via a link with an informed consent form and contact details (of the principal investigator) for remaining questions. Data is not open accessible and patient specific data will be anonymously stored.

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the in vivo accuracy of a fully digital workflow for the immediate placement of a previously fabricated screw-retained provisional crown using digital planning and guided implant surgery. The study will be conducted in partially edentulous adult patients requiring the replacement of a single tooth with an immediately loaded dental implant. The main objective of the study is to assess the accuracy (trueness and precision) of the planned digital implant position and provisional restoration by comparing the virtually planned position with the actual clinical outcome after guided surgery. Emphasis will be placed on linear, angular, and rotational deviations at both the implant and provisional restoration levels. Participants will undergo a fully guided implant placement procedure with rotational control, followed by the immediate placement of a prefabricated screw-retained provisional crown designed during the digital planning phase. Postoperative intraoral scans will be obtained to register the final implant and restoration positions. The planned and achieved positions will be compared using three-dimensional analysis software to quantify deviations and determine whether the accuracy achieved remains within clinically acceptable limits.

IBD patients have a higher risk of oral diseases that affect the oral mucosa, the teeth and the tooth supporting tissues. These conditions are often associated with pain, bleeding and impaired masticatory function which may have an impact on the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). However, few studies have investigated the self-evaluation of oral quality of life in IBD patients. The rare existing studies focus on very specific patients (elderly patients, patients with stomas) and do not use validated tools for the evaluation of OHRQoL. We also lack data on the effect of treatments such as immunosuppressants and type of IBD on OHRQoL. The aim of this study is to (i) compare oral quality of life in a cohort of IBD patients versus non-IBD patients and (ii) explore potential factors that influence oral quality of life in IBD

The aim of this study is to test the hyaluronic acid hydrogel impact on the healing acceleration of xenogenic bone substitutes used in ridge preservation. Following tooth extraction, bone particles are mixed with the hyaluronic acid gel and grafted in the tooth socket. at the implant placement phase, a cone beam computer assisted tomography file is recorded in order to compare it with the baseline and a biopsy to evaluate the histological consequences.
