NCT00002546
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether radiation therapy is more effective than combination chemotherapy in treating patients with cancer of the uterus. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying radiation therapy to see how well it works compared to combination chemotherapy in treating patients with cancer of the uterus.
NCT02247934
The objectives of this qualitative study are to elicit concepts about symptoms that are important to patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), as well as the key impacts of symptoms on patients' day-to-day functioning.
NCT01697072

NCT00361257
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of minocycline, an antibiotic, in lessening the decreased mental function sometimes caused by anti-HIV drugs.
NCT00724815
This study was a randomized, parallel group, double-blind, placebo controlled design to compare the efficacy and tolerability of NP101 to a placebo iontophoretic transdermal patch. The primary objective of this study was to assess the proportion of subjects who were headache pain free at two hours after patch activation. Key secondary objectives included: 1. The proportion of subjects who were nausea free at two hours after patch activation. 2. The proportion of subjects who were photophobia free at two hours after patch activation. 3. The proportion of subjects who were phonophobia free at two hours after patch activation.
NCT00806546
This study will use an open-label design to evaluate the safety of NP101. Adult subjects who meet the enrollment criteria will be treated with NP101 (sumatriptan succinate iontophoretic transdermal patch) for acute migraine attacks over a 12 month period.
NCT00792103
The primary objective is to evaluate the safety of long-term treatment with NP101 as assessed by: * Subject self-examination skin irritation scores * Adverse events * Changes in vital signs and ECG parameters The secondary objective is to evaluate the long term efficacy of NP101 as assessed by: * Headache pain free at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 * Headache pain relief at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 * Nausea free at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 * Phonophobia free at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 * Photophobia free at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 * Migraine free at two hours after patch activation for all initial acute migraine attacks treated with NP101 This study will use an open-label design to assess the long term safety of NP101 (sumatriptan iontophoretic transdermal patch). Subjects who continue to be in good health (use of a triptan or use of an NP101 patch is not contraindicated) and received treatment (patch activation) with the study patch for a qualifying migraine under study NP101-007 will be considered eligible for enrollment into the open-label study. Subjects will be expected to remain in the study for up to 12 months.
NCT01190839
REMICADE (infliximab) is a drug used to treat active Crohn's disease and is being tested in an experiment to see if it may be useful in preventing relapse of Crohn's disease after surgical resection. This study will compare the effects (both good and bad) of REMICADE (infliximab) to those of placebo. Placebo looks like the drug being studied but has no active ingredients.
NCT02161939
The primary objective of this program is to provide DCV for 24 weeks to be given in combination with SOF to subjects with chronic hepatitis C with decompensated cirrhosis or post-liver transplant subjects with chronic hepatitis C recurrence with either advanced fibrosis or fibrosing cholestatic hepatitis and who have a serious or immediately life-threatening condition or experienced an event that has decreased their life expectancy to \<12 months, therefore, no research hypothesis will be tested and no specific endpoints are defined. However, safety data will be collected throughout the study as well as efficacy data
NCT01026909
Legg-Calve-Perthes disease (LCP) represents the loss of blood flow to the head of the femur, resulting in significant hip pain and potential long term disability. This study represents a single center, randomized, prospective, controlled study comparing the treatment of LCP with an intraarticular corticosteroid (triamcinolone hexacetonide) injection with traditional nonoperative treatment.
NCT01137968
The purpose of this is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of imetelstat (GRN163L) as maintenance therapy for patients with advanced stage NSCLC who have not progressed after 4 cycles of platinum based therapy. Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to imetelstat + standard of care versus standard of care alone. Participants who received bevacizumab with their induction chemotherapy will continue to receive bevacizumab on this study.
NCT01874184
This randomized clinical trial studies a group-based lifestyle intervention or usual care in measuring biomarker levels in participants at high risk for breast cancer. Studying the effects that changes to daily eating and exercise habits can have on the body's hormone levels and the body's ability to activate proteins may help doctors identify interventions for individuals at high risk for breast cancer.
NCT02130531
The purpose of this study is to characterize emixustat hydrochloride pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters in subjects with geographic atrophy associated with dry age-related macular degeneration.
NCT01623115
Alirocumab (SAR236553/REGN727) is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds PCSK9 (proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9). Primary Objective of the study: To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels after 24 weeks of treatment in comparison with placebo. Secondary Objectives: * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab in comparison with placebo on LDL-C at other time points * To evaluate the effects of alirocumab on other lipid parameters * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab
NCT01114737
This double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study is designed to evaluate the safety and therapeutic effects of sapropterin dihydrochloride on neuropsychiatric symptoms in subjects with PKU.
NCT01890161
This is the first study in human patients with asthma that the sponsor is conducting in order to evaluate if there are signals that the investigational medication, AXP1275, may be a safe and effective treatment for asthma. The results of this study may help the sponsor to design additional studies.
NCT02008084
The purpose of this pilot study is to learn what study factors are important in designing a large, full-scale study of the effects of TRIA-662 on serum triglycerides (TG) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels. In this study, patients will first enter a Single-blind, dietary-controlled baseline period and receive 1000 mg placebo or active drug three times daily with meals (i.e., breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for 6 - 8 weeks. If the qualify to continue, they will then receive up to 2000 mg of active or placebo drug for an additional 14 weeks. Active drug will be given to 48 patients and placebo drug will be given to 16 patients. However, neither the patients not the clinic staff will know which patients are on active or placebo drug until the end of the study.
NCT02006732
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of 12 weeks once daily treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium + olodaterol FDC (delivered by the Respimat inhaler) compared with tiotropium and placebo in patients with COPD.
NCT01609062
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the safety of a 2.0 mg/kg/week and a 4.0 mg/kg/week of BMN 110 in patients with Morquio A syndrome for up to 196 weeks. Secondary objectives were to investigate the effect of the two doses on exercise capacity for up to 196 weeks. In addition, the pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of both doses of BMN 110 was assessed.
