The study consists of a Phase1b lead-in portion to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of OMP-59R5 in combination with nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine followed by a Phase 2, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled portion to evaluate the efficacy and safety of OMP-59R5 in combination with nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine in subjects with previously untreated stage IV pancreatic cancer.
NCT05187156
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common and impairing problem among Veterans, many of whom first seek treatment in primary care settings. PTSD is linked to reduced quality of life and increased rates of suicide. Additionally, social support, defined as the availability of others to provide emotional or practical support when needed, is frequently poor for Veterans with PTSD. For Veterans with PTSD, poor social support negatively impacts PTSD treatment engagement and outcomes, interfering with PTSD recovery. There is a need for additional brief, primary care-based treatments for PTSD that also work to improve social support in traumatized Veterans. The proposed research seeks to evaluate and refine such an intervention and establish a protocol for routinely measuring social support to inform treatment. This intervention and measurement protocol will likely improve Veterans' mental health and social relationships.
NCT03332095
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of doravirine (also called MK-1439 or DOR) and doravirine/lamivudine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (also called MK-1439A or DOR/3TC/TDF) in HIV-1-infected children and adolescents.
NCT02997423
This is a multi-institutional, consortium-based, non-interventional prospective blinded endpoints clinical study to determine whether high activity of Cytochrome C Oxidase (CcO) in tumor specimens from subjects with newly diagnosed primary GBM is associated with shortened OS (primary outcome) and PFS (secondary outcome) times.
NCT04047719
Given the need for a more sensitive pathogen detection test in patients with immunocompromised pneumonia, this study will evaluate the performance of the Karius Test, a novel NGS blood test for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. We will compare the performance of the Karius Test to the results of microbiologic tests obtained as part of usual care for immunocompromised patients undergoing evaluation for suspected pneumonia.
NCT05418023
This study involves sample collection to identify biomarkers relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) in the saliva of children who are between the ages of 18 months to 6 years and 11 months. Participants will at each timepoint have a non-invasive saliva swab collected and complete a brief demographic and medical history questionnaire as well. Children in the pediatric/provider setting who will receive a referral for an ASD diagnosis because they were determined to have a suspicion of developing ASD will be enrolled in the study. Children will also be enrolled in the specialist evaluation setting where they will receive a DSM-5 diagnosis. A subset of both enrollment cohorts will also be followed up with at a third time point in which their diagnosis will be confirmed, and information about any ongoing treatment will be gathered.
NCT01673867
The purpose of the study is to compare the overall survival of BMS-936558 (Nivolumab) as compared with Docetaxel in subjects with non-squamous cell non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after failure of prior platinum-based chemotherapy
NCT03739307
This is a five year multi-site, cross sectional, observational study designed to examine chronic pain and pain treatment after moderate to severe TBI.
NCT03090191
The Clover trial is evaluating an investigational vaccine that may help to prevent Clostridium difficile infection. Participants in the study are adults 50 years of age and older, who are at risk of developing Clostridium difficile infection. The study will assess whether the vaccine prevents the disease, and whether it is safe and well tolerated. Each subject will receive 3 doses of Clostridium difficile vaccine or placebo and be followed for up to 3 years after vaccination for potential Clostridium difficile infection.
NCT03989232
This study compares the effect of two doses of semaglutide (1.0 mg and 2.0 mg) in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). People taking part in the study will take the medicine together with their current diabetes medicine (sulphonylurea and/or metformin). Participants will get a dose of either 1.0 mg or 2.0 mg semaglutide once a week - which dose is decided by chance. Participants will inject semaglutide under the skin once a week. The study will last for about 49 weeks. Participants will have 9 clinic visits and 2 phone calls with the study doctor. At the visits participants will have blood taken and eye tests done. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period. Female participants who can get pregnant will be checked 11 times for pregnancy via urine tests.
NCT04606563
SARS-CoV-2 is a member of a class of viruses: angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2)-binding viruses that study calls "ABVs". The World Health Organization (WHO) and others are performing randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of vaccines and novel antivirals to address SARS-CoV-2 directly. However, the critical illness complications of COVID-19 are caused in part by SARS-CoV-2's binding and inhibiting ACE2 and the consequent host response. ACE 2 is the receptor for H1N1, H5N1, and SARS-CoV-2. After binding ACE2, SARS-CoV-2 is endocytosed, and surface ACE2 is down-regulated, increasing angiotensin II (ATII a potent vasoconstrictor) in COVID-19. The original ARBs limits lung injury in murine influenza H7N9 and decreases viral titre and RNA. Study has a unique opportunity to complement vaccine and anti-viral RCTs with an RCT modulating the host response using an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker (ARBs) to decrease the mortality of hospitalized COVID-19 patient.
NCT05493488
This is a randomized, observer blinded, Aqueous Gel-controlled trial examining the effect of daily application for approximately 6-8 days of DBI-001 Gel, DBI-002 Gel, and Aqueous Gel on the subjects with interdigital tinea pedis based on Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) and Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR), and comparison between Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) and Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) for the presence of Trichophyton rubrum (T.rubrum) as well as signs and symptoms and local tolerability and toxicity on treated sites in subjects.
