NCT01844115
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of vilazodone relative to placebo in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
NCT00937365
This study compares three treatments for low back pain that started during pregnancy. The study hypothesizes that exercise, spinal manipulation, and a mind-body technique called neuroemotional technique (NET) equally affect pain intensity and disability associated with pregnancy-related low back pain. The study also hypothesizes that pain intensity and disability levels do not influence maternal heart rate variability (a measure of stress) and intrauterine attachment (a measure of relationship quality). Ten women will additionally provide blood and salivary oxytocin samples during pregnancy and periodically for three months after birth. These women and their babies will also be videotaped playing for 5 minutes at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 3 months postpartum.
NCT00754221
This is a study to investigate the long-term safety and effectiveness \[S,S\]-Reboxetine in relieving the symptoms of Fibromyalgia in patients.
NCT00235495
The goal of the trial is to determine whether human albumin, administered within 5 hours of symptom onset, improves the 3-month outcome of subjects with acute ischemic stroke.
NCT01843543
Urgency Incontinence (where the bladder muscles contract suddenly, causing an immediate urge to urinate that is difficult to prevent) is commonly experienced in patients with overactive bladder. New findings have discovered that urgency incontinence may be connected to the interactions of certain regions of the brain and the bladder. Although this is a common problem, researched still do not know how these interactions impact the process of urgency incontinence. Furthermore, there is preliminary data to suggest that interventions such as Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) can potentially be used as therapy for UI. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact MBSR training on UI symptoms, quality of life, and anxiety measures.
NCT02120898
The purpose of this study it so compare the safety and efficacy profiles of a generic imiquimod 2.5% cream to the reference listed Zyclara® (imiquimod) cream in the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK).
NCT02012933
Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) is a rare autoimmune disorder which affects the nerve-muscle junction. The major symptoms of LEMS are progressive muscle weakness. Many patients experience other symptoms like dry mouth or impotence. Congenital Myasthenia (CM) is an inherited disorder with similar affects and symptoms. 3,4-Diaminopyridine (DAP) is an experimental drug that has improved strength in some subjects with (LEMS). There are no other accepted treatments for LEMS and DAP has relatively few side effects.
NCT00989261
AC220 will be administered as a once daily oral solution given continuously as 28-day treatment cycles, without any rest periods, until disease progression, relapse, intolerance to the drug, or elective allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
NCT01984242
This multicenter, randomized, open-label study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of atezolizumab as monotherapy or in combination with bevacizumab versus sunitinib in participants with histologically confirmed, inoperable, locally advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma who have not received prior systemic therapy either in the adjuvant or metastatic setting.
NCT01766401
NCT00390455
This randomized phase III trial studies fulvestrant and lapatinib to see how well they work compared to fulvestrant and a placebo in treating postmenopausal women with stage III or stage IV breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive. Estrogen can cause the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using fulvestrant may fight breast cancer by lowering the amount of estrogen the body makes. Lapatinib may stop the growth of breast cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether fulvestrant is more effective with or without lapatinib in treating breast cancer.
NCT00475605
This is an observational study to assess the long-term safety of Protopic® Ointment for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Patients whose ages are/were \< 16 years at the time of first tacrolimus ointment exposure are eligible to participate. No drug is distributed during this observational trial.
NCT01578707
The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether treatment with ibrutinib as a monotherapy results in a clinically significant improvement in progression free survival (PFS) as compared to treatment with ofatumumab in patients with relapsed or refractory Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) or Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL)
NCT02597933
Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) is a devastating disease of unknown etiology. Patients suffer from multiple organ fibrosis whereas lung fibrosis (interstitial lung disease, ILD) is one of the main driver for mortality. There is preclinical evidence for efficacy of nintedanib in SSc and associated ILD (SSc-ILD) and the anti-fibrotic efficacy of nintedanib was proven in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients, who are presenting a similar pattern regarding lung fibrosis. Hence it is the purpose of the trial to confirm the efficacy and safety of nintedanib 150 mg bid in treating patients with SSc-ILD, compared with placebo. The trial will be conducted as a double blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial with primary efficacy evaluation at week 52 and placebo-controlled treatment until last patient out (up to a maximum of 100 weeks). Respiratory function is globally accepted for assessment of treatment effects in patients with lung fibrosis. The chosen endpoint (Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) decline) is easy to obtain and is part of the usual examinations done in patients with SSc-ILD.
NCT01915368
The investigators will conduct a proof-of-concept study to provide preliminary evidence of efficacy of physical exercise dose on ambulatory function in adults undergoing sub-acute stroke rehabilitation.
NCT02788279
This is a Phase III, multicenter, open-label, three-arm, randomized study in participants with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) who have received at least two prior regimens of cytotoxic chemotherapy for metastatic disease. The study compares regorafenib, a standard of care therapy in this setting, to cobimetinib plus atezolizumab and atezolizumab monotherapy.
NCT03117569
The aim of this study is to determine if treatment monitoring schedule for chronic HCV patients treated with glecaprevir (300mg)/pibrentasvir (120mg) can be simplified. Data has shown that direct acting antiviral (DAA) regimen of glecaprevir (300mg)/pibrentasvir (120mg), a protease inhibitor and NS5A inhibitor respectively , provides key features for HCV treatment simplification. Eligible participants (naïve pre-cirrhosis chronic HCV patients) will be randomized (1:2) to the standard or simplified monitoring arm and will receive treatment for 8 weeks. One post treatment visit will be conducted 12 weeks after the final dose of study medication to evaluate the proportion of patients with undetectable HCV RNA at this timepoint (SVR12).
NCT00341705
The Second Multicenter Hemophilia Cohort Study (MHCS-II) will evaluate and prospectively follow approximately 4500 persons with hemophilia who were exposed to hepatitis C virus (HCV). The vast majority will have been infected with HCV, and approximately 1/3 will have been infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Primary objectives are to quantify the rates of liver decompensation, hepatocellular carcinoma, and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and to evaluate candidate clinical, genetic, virologic, serologic and immunologic markers that are likely to be on the causal pathway for these conditions. Candidate clinical and laboratory markers will be examined longitudinally to define changes over time and their relationships to one another. Collaborative studies will focus on genome scanning and evaluation of candidate genetic loci for susceptibility or resistance to HCV and HIV infections or to the diseases that result from these infections. Additional studies will identify response and complication rates of various anti-HCV and anti-HIV regimens in the setting of comprehensive clinical care of persons with hemophilia.
NCT01914393
This is an open-label, 104-week, multicenter, extension study designed to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability and effectiveness of flexibly dosed lurasidone (20, 40, 60 or 80 mg/day) in pediatric subjects who have completed the 6-week treatment period in the preceding studies, D1050301, D1050325, and D1050326
