NCT02337621
Recovery following major surgical procedures can be influenced by both physical (optimization of cardiopulmonary function, pain control, activity) and psychological factors. Physical activity recommendations for post-operative patients is difficult, in part because little is known about the short- and long-term benefits of exercise and mobility on post-operative pain and return to normal functioning.
NCT00605215
The study aims to compare the effect of daily oral treatment of laquinimod capsules 0.6 milligrams (mg) with the effect of placebo capsules (capsules that contain no active medication) as well as with the effect of an existing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) injectable drug: Interferon β-1a (Avonex®).
NCT05335980
The Nu-V3 Clinical Study is a prospective, single-arm, open-label, multi-center study using the Nu-V3 cranial nerve stimulation treatment device in patients with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and/or sleeplessness. For this Phase II study, a total of 100-200 patients at multiple centers will be registered for study participation. Study participants are those who have signed the informed consent form, met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and are enrolled in the study at one of multiple sites. Enrolled participants are stratified based on their chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and/or sleeplessness symptom presentation at baseline and treated with the Nu-V3 device for 24 weeks. Interim analysis of reported data will be based on baseline stratifications and conducted at 6, 12, 18, and 24 weeks during this time. The participant will be evaluated after the initial 12-week treatment period to assess for further therapeutic need. Upon having three consecutive weeks of mean symptom reduction of ≥70% via patient reported numerical scales, the participant will continue as described in the study assessments table, but without device therapy. Then if the participant's primary symptom score increases at any time by ≥20%, they may again continue device therapy until week 24.
NCT03373786
This is a Phase 1, open-label, multi-center study of the safety, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics of RG-012 administered to subjects with Alport syndrome.
NCT02519777
People infected with HIV often have cognitive dysfunction even if they are on antiretroviral therapy (ART) and have undetectable viral loads. The study evaluated if the addition of maraviroc (MVC) and dolutegravir (DTG) (which are two antiretroviral \[ARV\] medications) to participants' existing ART regimens improved participants' neurocognitive performance.
NCT01227616
The objectives of this study are to compare the efficacy and safety of repeat doses of intravenous (IV) ferumoxytol with IV iron sucrose for the treatment of IDA in subjects with hemodialysis-dependent CKD.
NCT03225846
PRECISION-HD2 is a Phase 1b/2a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of single and multiple doses of WVE-120102 in adult patients with early manifest Huntington's disease (HD) who carry a targeted single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs362331 (SNP2).
NCT03227029
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the infectivity, safety, and immunogenicity of the recombinant live-attenuated respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines RSV ΔNS2/Δ1313/I1314L or RSV 276 when delivered as nose drops to RSV-seronegative infants 6 to 24 months of age. This study was a companion study to Center for Immunization Research (CIR) 321.
NCT04934553
The purpose of this study is to examine the feasibility of a protocol in which individuals with comorbid depression or anxiety disorders and alcohol use disorder will be randomized to complete Amplification of Positivity for Alcohol Use Disorder (AMP-A)- a psychological treatment focused on increasing positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors- or a traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) intervention. Assessed outcomes will include participant acceptability and completion rates, participant compliance with the intervention, positive and negative affect, substance use- and depression and anxiety-related symptom severity, and functional disability.
NCT03628066
This study will look at the safety and effectiveness of the combination of palbociclib and letrozole and ovarian suppression for premenopausal patients who have ER-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer that has not yet been treated.
NCT01896102
This trial assessed the efficacy and safety of autologous cluster of differentiation 34 (CD34+) hematopoietic stem cells, transduced ex-vivo with Lenti-D lentiviral vector (also called elivaldogene autotemcel or eli-cel), for the treatment of cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy (CALD). A participant's blood stem cells were collected and modified (transduced) using the Lenti-D lentiviral vector encoding human adrenoleukodystrophy protein. After modification (transduction) with the Lenti-D lentiviral vector, the cells were transplanted back into the participant following myeloablative conditioning. Participants in this study will be continuously followed in study LTF-304.
NCT00855855
To monitor the occurrence of invasive Hib disease over time and to determine product-specific rates of invasive Hib disease within the monitored population.
NCT01047683
The primary objective is to determine the efficacy of AMR101 (ethyl icosapentate) compared to placebo in lowering fasting triglyceride levels in patients with very high fasting triglyceride levels ≥ 500 and ≤ 2000 mg/dL.
NCT02901717
This is a Phase 3, multi-center, randomized, open-label, assess-blind study to determine the efficacy and safety of MLT, a novel antibiotic lock therapy that combines minocycline with edetate disodium in 25% ethanol solution as an adjuctive therapy for the treatment of catheter-related or central line associated bloodstream infection (CRBSI/CLABSI). Approximately 144 subjects who have been diagnosed with CRBSI/CLABSI and who meet all necessary criteria for the study will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to 1 of 2 treatment arms: * MLT Arm: Mino-Lok therapy; or * Control Arm: Antibiotic lock (±heparin). The antibiotic lock (ALT) should be comprised of the best available therapy at the sites based on standard institutional practices or recommendations from the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) guidelines.
