ACTIV-1 IM is a master protocol designed to evaluate multiple investigational agents for the treatment of moderately or severely ill patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The research objectives are to evaluate each agent with respect to speed of recovery, mortality, illness severity, and hospital resource utilization. Each agent will be evaluated as add-on therapy to the standard of care (SoC) in use at the local clinics, including remdesivir (provided). The SoC may change during the course of the study based on other research findings. Comparisons of the agents among themselves is not a research objective. The study population corresponds to moderately and severely ill patients infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus. Recruitment will target patients already hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19 infection as well as patients being treated for COVID-19 infection in Emergency Departments while waiting to be admitted to the hospital. Patients both in and out of the ICU are included in the study population.

This 5-year prospective, observational study will: (1) determine the individual, social, and environmental predictors of sleep duration, quality, latency, efficiency, timing and regularity in African American smokers, (2) quantify the prospective relationship between multiple metrics of sleep with tobacco use, such that a sleep phenotype of risk for smoking is defined, and (3) examine the extent to which short sleep (\<7 hrs) and other unhealthy sleep metrics, predicts lung function through smoking behaviors and inflammation, in 480 African Americans at risk for advancing COPD (GOLD Stage 0-2 and current smoker). Study subjects will be recruited via Temple Health System sites. Following eligibility screening, initially eligible subjects will provide written study consent and complete an in-home sleep assessment to rule out the exclusionary moderate-severe sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Consenting and eligible subjects will be entered into the study and across the 60-month data collection period, complete 8 assessments: 4 annual clinical based assessments, interspersed by 4 mid-year, phone-based, self-report assessments.

The purpose of this study was to determine how effective and safe the study drug Olokizumab was in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) who had been already receiving, but not fully responding to treatment with an existing medication called a tumour necrosis factor alpha inhibitor The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of olokizumab (OKZ) 64 mg administered subcutaneously (SC) once every 2 weeks (q2w) or once every 4 weeks (q4w) relative to placebo in subjects with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) inadequately controlled by TNF-α inhibitor (TNFi) therapy.

This is a protocol-driven observational study of lung ultrasound and focused echocardiography images obtained in the Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings as a part of existing standard of care. The objectives of this study are as follows: 1. To characterize various clinical and cardiopulmonary ultrasound findings and describe their relationship with the clinical course of patients with COVID-19 in the ED and ICU. 2. To describe, develop, and validate a prediction tool that can accurately predict the need for invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) and acute respiratory failure in COVID-19 patients using clinical, laboratory, and ultrasound data.

This study will assess the impact of fever prevention on fever burden and short- and long-term neurologic outcomes in brain injured patients. Half of the subjects will undergo fever prevention using a targeted temperature management system and half of the subjects will be treated for fever should it develop.

This is a Phase 1/2a, nonrandomized, open-label, parallel assignment, single-dose, dose-escalation, and dose-expansion study to evaluate the safety and clinical activity of PBCAR269A, with or without nirogacestat, in adults with r/r MM. Study subjects in Cohort A will receive PBCAR269A and study subjects in Cohort B will receive PBCAR269A and nirogacestat. At each dose level, study subjects in Cohort A and Cohort B will receive the same dose of PBCAR269A. In Cohort B, all study subjects will follow the same dosing regimen of nirogacestat. This study was terminated prior to beginning of Phase II due to lack of sufficient therapeutic effect

In this research study we want to learn more about which treatment works better for patients diagnosed with a vascular tumor called Kaposiform Hemangioendothelioma (KHE) or other high risk vascular tumors such as Tufted Angioma (TA). In these tumors, the blood cells that help your blood clot called platelets become trapped in the tumor causing swelling, pain, and bruising. Vascular tumors can be life threatening. There are few medical treatments that will work to shrink the vascular tumor. Some doctors will use steroids and vincristine to try and shrink vascular tumors. In this research study, the study doctor will compare two different drugs to see which one will work better to help shrink your vascular tumor. One of the drugs is vincristine. Vincristine is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat people with cancer. Vincristine is used to stop the abnormal cells from growing such as cells that make up blood vessels. The other drug to be used in this study is sirolimus. Sirolimus is currently approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to prevent transplanted organ rejection. Sirolimus is not approved by the FDA for treatment of vascular abnormalities and is considered experimental. Sirolimus belongs to a class of drugs call 'mTOR inhibitors'. mTOR (mammilian target of rapamycin) helps cells to grow and may also help blood vessels to grow in a more normal fashion. Sirolimus is currently being tested in patients with vascular tumors and cancer. In vascular tumors, we hope sirolimus will stop the blood vessel growth.
