NCT03471078
Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of avatrombopag in subjects with chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia receiving chemotherapy for the treatment of ovarian, lung (small cell and non-small cell) and bladder cancer.
NCT02095132
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of adavosertib and irinotecan hydrochloride in treating younger patients with solid tumors that have come back (relapsed) or that have not responded to standard therapy (refractory). Adavosertib and irinotecan hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT05484596
The right ventricular (RV) systolic function is a key determinant of outcome in patients with pulmonary hypertension and elevated pulmonary vascular resistance. As the pulmonary artery pressure and vascular resistance increase (i.e. RV afterload) in these patients, so does the right ventricular contractility in an attempt to maintain cardiac output. This is response of a ventricle to its afterload is termed ventriculo-arterial (VA) coupling. However, there is a limit to this increase in contractility after which VA uncoupling occurs ultimately leading to decrease cardiac output and right ventricular failure. The accepted gold standard for measurement of VA coupling is the ratio of the end systolic ventricular elastance (Ees) to the end systolic arterial elastance (Ea) measured invasively via high fidelity conductance catheters during cardiac catheterization. In this study, the aim is to devise a non-invasive scoring system that can identify VA uncoupling in patients with elevated pulmonary vascular resistance using echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiopulmonary exercise testing and brain natriuretic peptide levels. The hypothesis is that a group of morphologic and functional variables obtained noninvasively can differentiate an RV with VA coupling from that with VA uncoupling.
NCT03186638
This randomized phase II trial studies how well low-dose ibuprofen in improving cognitive impairment in patients with cancer. Anti-inflammatory agents, such as ibuprofen, may slow the decline of cognitive processes and diseases involving the brain.
NCT03420651
Patients presenting to the emergency department with acute asthma exacerbation will be assigned to peak-expiratory flow rate (PEFR) guided management and non-PEFR guided management.
NCT04144751
The primary objective of this sub-study, 2019-01B, is to collect blood specimens for research use in the development and validation of a blood-based test for colorectal cancer (CRC).
NCT04593940
ACTIV-1 IM is a master protocol designed to evaluate multiple investigational agents for the treatment of moderately or severely ill patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The research objectives are to evaluate each agent with respect to speed of recovery, mortality, illness severity, and hospital resource utilization. Each agent will be evaluated as add-on therapy to the standard of care (SoC) in use at the local clinics, including remdesivir (provided). The SoC may change during the course of the study based on other research findings. Comparisons of the agents among themselves is not a research objective. The study population corresponds to moderately and severely ill patients infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus. Recruitment will target patients already hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19 infection as well as patients being treated for COVID-19 infection in Emergency Departments while waiting to be admitted to the hospital. Patients both in and out of the ICU are included in the study population.
NCT05748288
The Huntington Study Group currently holds the registered trademark for the Unified Huntington's Disease Rating Scale. The UHDRS® is a research tool which has been developed by the HSG to provide a uniform assessment of the clinical features and course of HD. The UHDRS® has undergone extensive reliability and validity testing and has been used as a major outcome measure by the HSG in controlled clinical trials. The purpose of this research study is to determine if a standard HD assessment (the UHDRS®) is as reliable when conducted virtually as it is when conducted at an in-person visit (vUHDRS)
NCT03302234
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of pembrolizumab given in combination with either ipilimumab or placebo as first-line treatment in participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The primary hypothesis of this study is that overall survival (OS) and/or progression-free survival (PFS) is prolonged in participants who receive pembrolizumab and ipilimumab compared to those who receive pembrolizumab and placebo. With Amendment 6 (effective date: 11-Dec-2020), active participants, investigator, and sponsor personnel or delegate(s) involved in the treatment administration or clinical evaluation of the participants will be unblinded. Participants will discontinue ipilimumab and placebo and participants who remain on treatment will receive open-label pembrolizumab only.
NCT02864251
The main purpose of this study is to determine whether nivolumab + chemotherapy is effective as compared to chemotherapy in the treatment of patients with EGFR mutation, NSCLC who failed first line (1L) or second-line (2L) EGFR TKI therapy.
NCT02996266
This study will assess the impact of fever prevention on fever burden and short- and long-term neurologic outcomes in brain injured patients. Half of the subjects will undergo fever prevention using a targeted temperature management system and half of the subjects will be treated for fever should it develop.
NCT01940341
The primary objective of this study is to compare the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) versus tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) in treatment-naive and treatment-experienced adults with hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.
NCT03565991
Avelumab in combination with talazoparib will be investigated in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors with a BRCA or ATM defect.
NCT04142125
CATIS-ICAD is a clinical pilot study in which patients who have had a recent ischemic stroke, that is a stroke caused by a blood clot or a narrowing of the blood vessels in the brain due to the build up of plaque, will be randomly assigned to receive either low-dose rivaroxaban + aspirin or aspirin alone.
NCT02896192
To demonstrate statistically significant and clinically meaningful effects of setmelanotide on percent body weight change in participants with pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) deficiency or proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 (PCSK1) deficiency obesity due to rare biallelic or loss-of function mutations at the end of 1 year of treatment.

The objectives of this study are to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of PLX-PAD intramuscular administration for the treatment of muscle injury following arthroplasty for HF.
NCT03200704
This is a prospective, open label, multicenter, non-inferiority within-patient study to determine the effectiveness of IC2000 (Indocyanine Green (ICG) for Injection) and the SPY Portable Handheld Imaging System (SPY-PHI) as an intraoperative fluorescence visualization tool, in the visual identification of lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes (LNs) during lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) procedures as confirmed by Technitium99m (Tc99m) and Gamma Probe.
NCT02456194
This is a prospective clinical trial of tibial plateau fractures treated with internal fixation and a calcium sulfate graft which can be mixed with antibiotics and molded into various bead sizes for implantation into bone defects. The graft material chosen for this study is STIMULAN Rapid Cure (Biocomposites, UK), which is approved for use as a bone void filler and may be mixed with a variety of antibiotics. The combination of STIMULAN + antibiotic in bead form is the "study device". Our primary study aim is to look at resorption and remodeling of the study device into bone. Another important aim of the study is to look at subsidence, or collapse, of the joint surface.
