NCT03190473
Indication for use: "The Svelte DES is indicated for improving coronary luminal diameter in patients with symptomatic heart disease, including patients with non-ST elevation MI due to discrete de novo native coronary artery lesions. The treated lesion length should be less than the nominal stent length with a reference vessel diameter of 2.25 mm - 4.00 mm
NCT02502799
Individuals with ADHD are at markedly high risk for increased substance use and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Given the strong evidence for the negative trajectory of individuals with co-occurring ADHD and substance use initiation, the goal of this study is to conduct a controlled examination of a brief, early intervention (BEI) for substance modified for adolescents with ADHD. Importantly, this intervention will address individuals who are at risk for problems with substance use, but do not yet meet criteria for severe SUD. Although brief interventions have been found to be effective in other populations, their efficacy in an ADHD population with emerging risk for substance use problems remains uninvestigated. This study aims to understand why some adolescents with ADHD and elevated risk for SUD respond to (BEI) and others do not. The investigators will test whether situational and individual characteristics predict substance use development and response to treatment. Further, this study will assess which types of additional treatment are most effective for youth who do not respond to the initial BEI. It is hypothesized that rates of adolescent substance use will be lower among adolescents who participate in study treatments.
NCT05712265
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of miricorilant in the presence and absence of the strong cytochrome P450 \[(CYP) 2C19\] inhibitor, fluvoxamine, in healthy participants. Participants will receive a single dose of miricorilant under fed conditions with a standard breakfast after an overnight fast alone and in combination with once-daily doses of fluvoxamine. Blood samples will be collected at regular intervals for PK and safety analysis between admission and discharge from the clinical unit.
NCT02726581
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of several combination therapies for Multiple Myeloma. Upon entry into the study, patients will be randomized (assigned by chance) to receive either: Group 1: nivolumab, pomalidomide and dexamethasone OR Group 2: pomalidomide and dexamethasone OR Group 3: nivolumab, elotuzumab, pomalidomide and dexamethasone. Enrollment is closed for all groups.
NCT03965091
The primary objective of the study is to estimate the treatment effect of fremanezumab administered subcutaneously (SC) in reducing pain in adult participants with fibromyalgia (FM). A secondary objective is to evaluate the effect of fremanezumab on other efficacy measures, including pain, quality of life, sleep, fatigue, improvement in health, physical functioning, and mood. Another secondary objective is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of fremanezumab administered SC in adult participants with FM. The total duration of participant participation in the study is planned to be 21 weeks, consisting of a screening period of up to 5 weeks (ranging from 17 to 35 days), and a double-blind treatment period of 16 weeks.
NCT01238172
RATIONALE: Eating a diet high in vegetables may slow down disease progression in patients with prostate cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well diet works in altering disease progression in patients with prostate cancer on active surveillance.
NCT03443076
This study will assess the relative bioavailability of 500 mg eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) + docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in a self-micro-emulsifying delivery system (SMEDS) formulation compared with a standard omega-3-acid ethyl ester product in healthy men and women.
NCT03272347
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, antiretroviral activity, and pharmacokinetics of 3 doses of islatravir (MK-8591) in combination with doravirine (DOR) and lamivudine (3TC) administered to antiretroviral treatment-naïve adult participants with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection.
NCT03845400
The main aim of this study is to compare the HAE attack rate before and after lanadelumab treatment was started in persons with Hereditary Angioedeme Type I or II. Data from participants will be collected for at least 24 months. Participants will report information in a smartphone application at study start and then every 3 months until the study ends; data will also be collected by the study doctor during routine clinic visits.
NCT02270450
This partially randomized clinical trial studies surgery or non-surgical management in treating patients with intra-abdominal cancer and bowel obstruction. Bowel obstruction is a common problem for advanced cancer patients and can negatively affect quality of life. It is not yet known whether surgery or non-surgical management is the best treatment option for bowel obstruction and can lead to better quality of life.
NCT04732949
The purpose of this Phase III study is to confirm that SNG001 can accelerate the recovery of hospitalised patients receiving oxygen with confirmed Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Safety and other efficacy endpoints will also be assessed.
NCT05104840
The rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 (also known as 2019-nCoV and HCoV-19 1), a novel beta coronavirus B lineage (βCoV), has sparked a global coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. It has been suggested that RRAR, a unique furin-like cleavage site (FCS) in the spike protein (S) that is absent in other B βCoV lines such as SARS-CoV, is responsible for its high infectivity and transmissibility. Furin is a protein with a special function of a fermentative biocatalyst: which recognizes the degree of maturity of a group of amino acids Functionally, Furin works to renew the body, but it is also a path to the introduction of the SARS-CoV virus into a living human cell, HIV virus, Ebola virus, and others that penetrate a human cell using the Furin protein, sending a conditioned signal from the extracellular matrix, and gives the virus the opportunity to merge the protein of the coronavirus spike and the protein content of the cut cell, which activates the phase of virus replication in the body. We hypothesize that measuring the quantitative indicators of Furin protein expression in patients (at the onset of the disease) who have recovered from SARS-CoV-2 and vaccinated (with all types of vaccines) against coronavirus can provide an understanding of the molecular-cellular mechanisms of the virus's cellular invasion. This means that it will be possible to find new ways to prevent the fusion of the membranes of infected cells with normal ones (this mechanism allows the virus to spread throughout the body without leaving the affected cells). Protein identification will be carried out by Enhanced Chemiluminescence (ECL) (the method of enhanced chemiluminescence differs from the method of immunochemical staining using chromogenic substrates by a much greater sensitivity)
