NCT02477891
The objective of this study is to provide early access to daratumumab treatment and collect additional safety data while the medication is not commercially available or available through another protocol for subjects with multiple myeloma who have received at least 3 prior lines of therapy including a proteasome inhibitor (PI) and an immunomodulatory agent (IMiD) or whose disease is double refractory to both a PI and an IMiD.
NCT00495040
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if escalated/accelerated proton radiotherapy can improve the control of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and decrease side effects. The safety of this treatment will also be studied. Objectives: To assess the therapeutic efficacy and toxicities of proton radiotherapy with escalated/accelerated dose for patients with medically inoperable stage I (T1-2, N0,M0) NSCLC. Primary goals: 1. Improve 2 years progression free survival at the primary site, and 2. reduce acute and chronic toxicity Secondary goals: 1. Improve disease specific survival at 2 years. 2. Study the potential of pre- and post treatment PET/CT in predicting clinical outcome. 3. Study the role of biomarkers in predicting therapeutic response and toxicities.
NCT01011140
The purpose of this study is to assess palliative care physicians' attitudes, beliefs and practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life in Latin America and Spain. Objectives: 1. To assess palliative care physicians' attitudes, beliefs and practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life in Latin America and Spain. 2. To assess cross-national differences in practice patterns related to parenteral hydration at the end of life. (Latin America vs. Spain). 3. To determine the percentage of physicians who practice parenteral hydration at the end-of-life in the hospital setting and the home setting. 4. To examine the association between providers' parenteral hydration practice patterns and: * 1\. provider demographic characteristics; * 2\. specific characteristics of their practice settings; and * 3\. training and experience in end of life care; 5. To determine which factors most predict the practice of parenteral hydration at the end of life among palliative care physicians.
NCT02613390
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn about the safety and accuracy of using MRI as a guidance system during laser ablation surgery of tumors that have spread to the spine.
NCT01286987
This is a single-arm, open-label study to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of talazoparib in patients with advanced tumors with DNA-repair pathway deficiencies. There will be 2 parts to the study: a dose escalation phase in which the maximum tolerated dose will be defined, and a dose expansion phase.
NCT00718159
The purpose of this study is to determine a safe dose of LY573636-sodium to be given to patients with acute myeloid leukemia and to determine any side effects that may be associated with LY573636-sodium in this patient population. Efficacy measures will also be used to assess the activity of LY573636-sodium in acute myeloid leukemia and essential thrombocythemia patients.
NCT02367183
This study is design to explore the effect of GED-0301 on clinical and endoscopic outcome and to evaluate its safety in subjects with active Crohn's disease.
NCT01799876
The purpose of this study is to assess the potential benefit of enhancing knee surgery for cartilage injury using some of the patient's own cells, taken from fat tissue, that may be able to help cartilage to regenerate.
NCT00678392
The study is designed to demonstrate that axitinib (AG-013736) is superior to sorafenib in delaying tumor progression in patients with metastatic renal cell cancer after failure of one first line regimen.
NCT02614560
This study will examine the safety and anti-leukemic profile of SGN-CD33A (vadastuximab talirine) in patients with relapsed chemo-resistant AML, who are given vadastuximab talirine in sequence with standard treatments before a planned stem cell transplant, or as maintenance therapy after a stem cell transplant. The main purpose of the study is to find the best dose and determine the anti-leukemic activity of vadastuximab talirine, given either pre- or post-allogeneic stem cell transplant (alloSCT) for adults with relapsed or refractory AML. This will be determined by assessing the safety and tolerability of vadastuximab talirine. In addition, the pharmacokinetic profile and anti-leukemic activity of the study treatment will be assessed.
NCT02746068
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 24-week study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AXS-02 in subjects with knee osteoarthritis associated with bone marrow lesions.
NCT01284335
The purpose of this study is to determine a safe dose of LY573636 (tasisulam) when used in 5 separate combinations with an approved cancer medication for treating participants with advanced cancer. Data from this study will be reviewed for any side effects or anti-tumor activity that may be associated with the LY573636 combination treatments.
NCT01372150
This is a Double-blind Study Evaluating Desvenlafaxine Succinate (DVS SR) Sustained Release vs Placebo in the Treatment of Children and Adolescent Outpatients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
NCT00543439
The purpose of this research study is to determine the effectiveness, safety, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of moroctocog alfa (AF-CC) in previously treated subjects, who are younger than 6 years of age, with severe or moderately severe hemophilia A.
NCT02610283
This trial is designed to evaluate QPI-1002 versus placebo for the prevention of AKI in subjects who are at high risk for AKI following cardiac surgery. Half of the participants will receive QPI-1002 while the other half will receive placebo.
NCT01465802
To assess the impact of prophylactic treatment on the incidence of adverse events in advanced NSCLC patients (post chemotherapy) treated with dacomitinib daily as a single agent. The NeuroVISION Study will characterize the incidence, impact, and risk factors of covert stroke in adults undergoing noncardiac surgery. We will determine the incidence of acute covert stroke using an MRI study of the brain in the days following noncardiac surgery. We will characterize the epidemiology and the impact of covert stroke in patients undergoing noncardiac surgery, and its association with cerebral deoxygenation.
