NCT01215942
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer if LY2127399 is safe and effective during long-term treatment in participants with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This study is comprised of 2 periods: Period 1: Unblinded treatment for up to 240 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDO (BCDO) (NCT01202760) or Study H9B-MC-BCDV (BCDV) (NCT01202773) or up to 168 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDM (BCDM) (NCT01198002). Period 2: 48-week post-treatment follow-up
NCT00002597
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy (RT) uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Androgens can stimulate the growth of prostate cancer cells. Hormone therapy using flutamide, goserelin, and leuprolide may fight prostate cancer by reducing the production of androgens. It is not yet known which regimen of antiandrogen therapy is most effective for prostate cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to study the effectiveness of radiation therapy with or without antiandrogen therapy in treating patients who have stage I or stage II prostate cancer.
NCT02516410
Study to evaluate the efficacy of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor (IVA, VX-770) through Week 12 in participants with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for the F508del mutation on the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene and with a second CFTR mutation that is not likely to respond to VX-661 and/or IVA therapy (F508del/not responsive \[NR\]).
NCT02392234
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor (IVA, VX-770) and IVA monotherapy in participants with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for F508del-CFTR allele and a second allele with a CFTR mutation predicted to have residual function.
NCT01812005
This phase II trial studies how well alisertib with and without rituximab works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Alisertib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Giving alisertib with and without rituximab may be an effective treatment for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma
NCT01457924
Ofatumumab is a novel Immunoglobulin 1ĸ ( IgG1ĸ) lytic monoclonal antibody (mAb) that specifically binds to the human Cluster of Differentiation 20 (CD20) antigen of which expression is restricted to B lymphocytes from the pre-B cell stage to the plasmacytoid immunoblast stage only. A recent trial with an anti-CD20 mAb (rituximab) demonstrated that targeting B-cells reduces the number of gadolinium-enhancing (GdE) T1 lesions and the relapse rate in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Ofatumumab has been shown to be both well tolerated and efficacious in several indications, including a small, placebo-controlled trial in RRMS using an intravenous (IV) formulation. This double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study will investigate the safety and efficacy of a subcutaneous formulation of ofatumumab in the treatment of subjects with RRMS. The primary objective of the study is to investigate the efficacy as assessed by magnetic resonance imaging. Other objectives will include evaluation of tolerability/safety, dose-response relationship, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, exposure-response, as well as other clinical endpoints.
NCT02647905
The purpose of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the accuracy of the Senseonics Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (Senseonics CGM System) measurements when compared with reference standard measurements The investigation will also evaluate safety of the Senseonics CGM System usage.
NCT00753272
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' influenza vaccine GSK2186877A in adults 65 year of age and older. The study design is divided in two surveillance phases: one passive phase along the study during the influenza season and one active surveillance phase during the influenza peak season.
NCT03469141
The goal of this module project is to establish the efficacy of a portable sensor and app-based biofeedback technology system for promoting effective pressure relief behaviors and reducing risk of pressure ulcer development among wheelchair users. In collaboration with the participating SCIMS centers, the investigators will conduct a randomized clinical trial of education and goal setting alone compared to education and goal setting combined with the biofeedback system (SENSIMAT®) that is commercially available.
NCT02533570
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of brentuximab vedotin in adults with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
NCT02058563
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of GSK's trivalent MMR (Priorix®), comparing it to Merck"s MMR vaccine (M-M-R®II), which is approved for use in the US.
NCT02504294
A phase 3b study for subjects receiving Epogen to compare a dosing algorithm between Hospira Epoetin and Standard of Care Epogen.
NCT03292848
A study to assess pharmacokinetics, safety and tolerability of brexpiprazole in children ages 6 to \<13 years with CNS disorders.
NCT02207413
The purpose of this trial is to demonstrate the acceptable safety profile and the immunological non-inferiority of the FLU D-QIV vaccine manufactured with this investigational process (FLU D-QIV Investigational Process \[IP\]) compared to FLU D-QIV manufactured with the current licensed process (FLU D-QIV Licensed Process \[LP\]).
NCT01113957
The purpose of this study is to determine the objective response rate of ABT-888 when given in combination with temozolomide versus pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) alone in subjects with recurrent high grade serous ovarian cancer.
NCT00529516
Since influenza vaccines are administered every year because of the frequent change in their antigenic composition, the safety and immunogenicity profile of GSK Biologicals' influenza vaccine GSK576389A will be re-evaluated after repeated vaccine administration. In this observer blind study, the subjects previously enrolled in study 104888 (NCT00377585) will receive a dose with the 2007-2008 season's formulations of Fluarix or GSK576389A. Only subjects who were previously enrolled in study 104888 (NCT00377585) are eligible for participation in this study.
NCT00383292
The primary purpose of this study is to determine the objective response rate (complete and partial response) for participants who receive tasisulam after one prior systemic treatment for unresectable or metastatic melanoma.
NCT00392834
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving rituximab together with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving rituximab together with combination chemotherapy works in treating patients with newly diagnosed, HIV-associated Burkitt's lymphoma.
NCT00090987
RATIONALE: Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well imatinib mesylate works in treating patients with HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma.
NCT00693706
The purpose of the study is to compare the safety of \& immune response to a single dose of GSK Biologicals' cell-culture based influenza vaccine 138842A with that of a US licensed, egg-based trivalent influenza vaccine \[Fluarix\] in healthy adults.
