NCT01909804
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the antiviral efficacy, safety, and tolerability of sofosbuvir (SOF) + velpatasvir (VEL; GS-5816) with or without ribavirin (RBV) in treatment-naive adults with chronic genotype (GT) 1 or 3 hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
NCT01768871
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the function of the knee after a total knee replacement with the VEGA system®.
NCT00788775
Given the poor prognosis and limited treatment options available for patients with mucosal or acral/lentiginous melanomas who develop metastatic disease, genetic discoveries of KIT mutations in these cancers present the need to test multi-targeted kinase inhibitors with potent KIT inhibitory activity in this patient population. Imatinib and other tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have the potential to be effective in this patient population, but patients may develop resistance to treatment. Therefore, in this study, we propose to test nilotinib in patients with metastatic mucosal, acral, or chronically sun-damaged melanoma following treatment with another TKI.
NCT02375971
The purpose of this study was to determine if intravitreal ranibizumab is superior to laser ablation therapy in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
NCT02627105
This is a 6 month long study to evaluate the inclusion or exclusion of beef within a weight loss program.
NCT01848990
The primary objectives of this study are to compare the difference in glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) from baseline to Month 6 using Hylenex recombinant preadministration in continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) versus standard CSII and to evaluate the safety of Hylenex recombinant preadministration, including local tolerability, adverse events, and hypo- and hyperglycemia rates.
NCT03248804
Dietary protein is a key element of most effective weight loss regimens. This study will investigate the effects of consuming soy protein on body composition and cardiometabolic health within the context of an effective weight loss and maintenance program called the Colorado Diet.
NCT02325791
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity of suptavumab (REGN2222) in infants born no more than 35 weeks, 6 days gestational age who are no more than 6 months of age at the time of enrollment in their respective geographic location. In order to optimize the potential benefit in this vulnerable population, we conducted this study during the RSV season using dosing regimens that are expected to be effective.
NCT02855541
Previous research suggests that prolonged sitting increases risk for cardiometabolic diseases and the risk factors associated with cardiometabolic diseases. However, no study to date has examined if a chronic intervention that breaks up prolonged sitting in a real-world environment results in a reduction in the metabolic risk factors associated with cardiometabolic diseases. Thus, the objective of this study is to examine the potential health benefits of breaking up sitting bouts throughout the workday using a small cycling device (DeskCycle) in office workers involved with jobs that require prolonged bouts of sitting. The investigators hypothesize that breaking up sitting will be associated with improvements in cardiometabolic disease risk factors. More specifically, the investigators hypothesize that breaking up sitting will decrease blood glucose during an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), increase cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2max), decrease blood pressure, decrease body fat, increase HDL cholesterol, and decrease LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, and triglycerides.
NCT00773175
Randomized (1:1 ratio) study of subcutaneous (SC) versus intravenous (IV) fluid rehydration in mildly to moderately dehydrated pediatric patients.
NCT02222714
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK) and preliminary efficacy of multiple ascending intravenous doses of 3K3A-APC, a Recombinant Variant of Human activated protein C (APC), in in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke following treatment with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), mechanical thrombectomy or both.
NCT01257828
CSM (Cervical spondylotic myelopathy) is the most common cause of spinal cord injury worldwide. While there is evidence from the recently completed SpineNet prospective study that surgical decompression is an effective treatment for CSM, it is clear that many patients have remaining neurological impairment. While surgery is relatively safe, approximately 3% of patients maintain a neurological problem. Given this background and data from preclinical models of non-traumatic and traumatic spinal cord injury, there is strong evidence to consider the potential benefit of adding a neuroprotective drug which aids in the treatment of patients with CSM whom are undergoing surgical decompression. Riluzole is FDA-approved for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which has some similar clinical features to CSM. Riluzole is currently under investigation for traumatic spinal cord injury. Given this background, there is a strong basis to consider studying the potential neurological benefits of Riluzole as a treatment to surgical decompression in patients with CSM.
NCT00475644
To evaluate the antitumor activity, as measured by tumor response rate, of enzastaurin in participants with Follicular Lymphoma (FL).
NCT02316353
The aim of this study is to assess the long-term safety of C1-esterase inhibitor (C1-INH) in preventing hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks when it is administered under the skin of subjects with HAE. The safety of participating subjects will be assessed for up to 54 weeks. The long-term efficacy of C1-INH will also be assessed. Each eligible subject will enter the treatment phase, wherein subjects will be randomized to treatment with either low- or medium-volume C1-INH. Subjects who have an insufficient treatment response during the study will be given an opportunity to undergo a dose increase. The study aims to enroll eligible subjects who completed study CSL830\_3001 (NCT01912456). Subjects who did not participate in study CSL830\_3001 may also participate, if eligible and if space permits. Subjects from the United States (US) who complete Treatment Period 2 will be allowed to participate in an Extension Period. During the Extension Period participating US subjects will continue to receive treatment with open-label CSL830 for up to an additional 88 weeks.
NCT02595814
The clinical characteristics, initial presentation, management, and outcomes of patients hospitalized with new-onset (first diagnosis) heart failure (HF) or decompensation of chronic HF are poorly understood worldwide. REPORT-HF is a global, prospective, and observational HF disease registry designed to characterize patient trajectories longitudinally during and following an index hospitalization for acute HF.
NCT02612285
SNX-5422 is a pro-drug of SNX-2112, a potent, highly selective, small-molecule inhibitor of the molecular chaperone heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90). Initial in vitro evidence supports that SNX-5422 may be active against TP53 null tumors irrespective of tumor type .
NCT01801111
This open-label, non-randomized, multicenter, Phase 1/2 study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of alectinib in participants with non-small cell lung cancer who have ALK mutation and failed crizotinib treatment. In Part 1, cohorts of participants will receive escalating doses of alectinib orally twice daily. In Part 2, participants will receive the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of alectinib as determined in Part 1. Treatment will continue in Part 1 and Part 2 on the same dose until disease progression. In Part 3, following disease progression, participants without epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation will be offered continued treatment with alectinib, participants with EGFR mutations will be offered a combination of alectinib and erlotinib.
