NCT05137002
This is a Phase 2, randomized, multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of multiple dose strengths of baxdrostat (also called CIN-107) in the treatment of patients with uncontrolled hypertension. The primary objective was to demonstrate that treatment with baxdrostat for 8 weeks would lower the systolic blood pressure (SBP) in patients who were hypertensive despite taking one or two anti-hypertensive medications. Participants were assigned to take placebo or baxdrostat once per day for 8 weeks while they continued taking the regular anti-hypertensive medications. At the end of the 8-week period, qualified patients could participate in Part II of the study and receive 2 mg baxdrostat for 4 weeks while they discontinued taking the background anti-hypertensive medication.
NCT03024996
This is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab versus placebo in participants with RCC who are at high risk of disease recurrence following nephrectomy.
NCT00017953
The Look AHEAD study is a multi-center, randomized clinical trial to examine the long-term effects of a lifestyle intervention designed to achieve and maintain weight loss. The study will investigate the effects of the intervention on heart attacks, stroke and cardiovascular-related death in individuals with type 2 diabetes who are also overweight or obese.
NCT04922112
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is increasingly recognized in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN). The prevalence prior and after cancer therapy is not well understood. OSA is identified as a contributing factor for daytime somnolence and quality of life (QOL), yet treatment of OSA in the SCCHN population has not been studied. The investigators hope to identify the disease course of sleep apnea, risk factors for development, and impact on QOL with treatment of OSA in a population of patients with SCCHN.
NCT02032628
Specific aim 1. Using a fully crossed 2 (intensity) X 2 (duration) design, the investigators will demonstrate a dose-response relationship between volume of aerobic exercise and changes in DNA methylation over four months among previously sedentary women. Specific aim 2. There are no published data on the extent to which positive effects of exercise on methylation might decay if exercise is not continued. The investigators will gather data on the natural history of methylation decay after training.
NCT02988817
The purpose of the trial is to determine the maximum tolerated dose and to establish the safety profile of HuMax-AXL-ADC in a mixed population of patients with specified solid tumors
NCT04614246
The purpose of this study is to assess safety and efficacy of BAY 1817080 compared to elagolix and placebo in women with symptomatic endometriosis. Study details include: * Study duration: 155 up to 285 days * Treatment duration: 84 days * Visit frequency: 3 laboratory every 2 weeks for participants on BAY 1817080 or placebo
NCT03182998
This randomized phase III trial studies how well decision aids work in improving knowledge in patients with prostate cancer. Decision aids may improve patients' knowledge of their condition and options for treatment, and may also help when talking with their doctor.
NCT03762265
This was a Phase 3 randomized, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (blinded treatment \[BT\] period) followed by an open-label extension \[OLE\] period intended to evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral PRN1008 in moderate to severe pemphigus. After completing the open-label extension period, eligible participants might continue in a long term extension (LTE) Period of 48 weeks.
NCT05422326
This is a Phase 2, randomized, multi-center study in approximately 300 adults who received 2 doses of aH5N1c or placebo in and completed the parent study V89\_18 in the \<65 years of age cohort. The study investigates whether two priming doses of MF59-adjuvanted H5N1 cell culture-derived vaccine (aH5N1c) followed by one or two booster vaccinations with a MF59-adjuvanted H5N6 cell culture derived vaccine (aH5N6c) 3 weeks apart elicit immune responses to the antigens used for priming (H5N1) and boosting (H5N6) after first and second heterologous booster vaccination. Eligible subjects, who received 2 doses of aH5N1c in the parent study V89\_18 are randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either two aH5N6c vaccinations, 3 weeks apart (group 1) or an aH5N6c vaccination on Day 1 and saline placebo on Day 22 (group 2). Eligible subjects, who received placebo in the parent study will receive two aH5N6c vaccinations, 3 weeks apart (group 3). After the second vaccine administration, subjects are monitored for approximately 6 months for safety and antibody persistence. The total study duration will be approximately 7 months per subject.
NCT02214160
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of UX007 in participants with LC-FAOD. The secondary objectives of this study are to evaluate the effect of UX007 on energy metabolism in LC-FAOD and evaluate the impact of UX007 on clinical events associated with LC-FAOD.
NCT05076942
Vulvar cancer patients with SN-metastasis \> 2mm will receive chemoradiation instead of an inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy.
NCT00688246
RATIONALE: Learning about the effect of exemestane on bone mineral density in postmenopausal women at increased risk of breast cancer may help plan treatment, decrease the risk of broken bones, and help patients live more comfortably. PURPOSE: This research study is measuring bone mineral density in postmenopausal women at increased risk of developing breast cancer who are receiving exemestane on clinical trial CAN-NCIC-MAP3.
NCT03602079
Open-label, Phase I-II, first-in-human (FIH) study for A166 monotherapy in HER2-expressing or amplified patients who progressed on or did not respond to available standard therapies. Patients must have documented HER2 expression or amplification. The patient must have exhausted available standard therapies. Patients will receive study drug as a single IV infusion. Cycles will continue until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
NCT02844933
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of cannabidiol oral solution on hyperphagia-related behavior in patients with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). The secondary objectives of this study are to assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability, impact on quality of life, and impact on physical activity of cannabidiol oral solution in patients with PWS.
NCT04881448
This study is intended to investigate the usefulness of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) slopes derived from retrospective routine clinical practice data, compare those retrospective slopes with those generated in a prospective fashion and successively identify rapidly progressing chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients.
NCT03861481
The purpose of the study is to evaluate clinical efficacy of rozanolixizumab as a treatment for subjects with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP).
NCT00542308
Treatment, In combination with BSC, Open-label, Single arm, Efficacy Study.
NCT01956773
The outcome of this research will be a demonstration that family health history (FHH) risk data can be used efficiently to deliver more effective healthcare in geographically and ethnically diverse clinical care environments. Although FHH is a standard component of the medical interview its widespread adoption is hindered by three major barriers: (1) a dearth of standard collection methods; (2) the absence of health care provider access to complete FHH information; and (3) the need for clinical guidance for the interpretation and use of FHH. In addition, the time constraints of the busy provider and poor integration of FHH with paper medical records or electronic medical records (EMR) impede its widespread use. The investigators hypothesize that patient-driven and electronic collection of FHH for risk stratification will promote more informed decision-making by patients and providers, and improves adherence to risk-stratified preventive care guidelines. The study team will use an implementation sciences approach to integrate an innovative FHH system that collects FHH from patients. Intermountain Healthcare will provide the information technology expertise with EMR design to develop an innovative solution to a storage model standard for FHH data as well as a centralized standards-compliant open clinical decision support (OpenCDS) rule development architecture to analyze FHH and to generate evidence-based, individualized, disease risk, preventive care recommendations for both patients and providers.
