NCT01595061
This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy works when given with gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin work in treating patients with squamous cell cancer of the vulva that has spread from where it started to nearby tissue or lymph nodes. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving radiation therapy together with gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin may kill more tumor cells.
NCT03819114
The purpose of this pharmacokinetic (PK) study was to evaluate if a double dose (3 mg) of levonorgestrel (LNG) overcomes known drug-drug interactions (DDIs) with efavirenz (EFV)-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) or rifampicin (RIF)-containing tuberculosis (TB) therapy. The safety of double-dose (3.0 mg) LNG versus standard-dose (1.5 mg) was also compared.
NCT02416492
The primary purpose of the clinical study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of intracranial administration of SB623 cells on patients with chronic motor deficit from Traumatic Brain Injury. A secondary purpose of the study is 1) to evaluate the effect of intracranial administration of SB623 cells on disability parameters and 2) to evaluate the safety and tolerability of intracranial administration of SB623 cells. Patients with stable, chronic motor deficits secondary to focal traumatic brain injury must be 12 months post TBI.
NCT00372073
A phase 2 study to evaluate efficacy of oral seliciclib in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
NCT03420781
A 46-week study to compare the efficacy of relamorelin with that of placebo in participants with diabetic gastroparesis (DG). At the end of the 40-week Treatment Period, participants will either continue on relamorelin or placebo for 6 additional weeks.
NCT03857542
This clinical study will evaluate pilocarpine hydrogen chloride (HCl) ophthalmic solution (AGN-190584) in an expanded participant population to establish efficacy, safety, and tolerability versus the vehicle-control when administered, over a 30-day study intervention period, once daily bilaterally in participants with presbyopia.
NCT03436199
This study assessed the efficacy and safety of ADS-5102 (at daily doses of 137 mg or 274 mg) compared with placebo in MS patients with walking impairment.
NCT04359797
This study aims to determine if provider-recommended guidance on supine (on back) vs. prone (on stomach) positioning of patients testing positive for COVID-19 requiring supplemental oxygen, but not yet mechanically ventilated, improves outcomes in the inpatient setting. This study will be performed as a pragmatic clinical trial.
NCT00985205
The purpose of this study is to test the following hypotheses: 1. Enteral glutamine administration decreases in-hospital mortality in adult patients with severe thermal burn injuries. 2. Enteral glutamine administration decreases hospital-acquired blood stream infections from Gram negative organisms and length of stay in ICU and hospital for adult patients with severe thermal burn injuries. 3. Enteral glutamine administration will improve the physical function of surviving burn injured patients and reduce their cost of care. The objectives of this trial are to determine the overall treatment effect and safety of glutamine in burn patients. Specifically, the investigators want to assess the following outcomes in a sample of 1200 patients in 80 sites: 1. In patients with severe, life-threatening burn injury, what is the effect of enteral glutamine on time to discharge alive from hospital 2. In patients with severe, life-threatening burn injury, what is the effect of enteral glutamine on 6 month mortality, hospital-acquired blood stream infections from Gram negative organisms, hospital mortality, duration of stay in ICU and hospital, health-related quality of life, and health care resources?
NCT03269695
The purpose of this study is to determine if PF-06687234 is effective and safe as add-on therapy to infliximab in subjects with active ulcerative colitis who are not in remission.
NCT04476329
This is a randomized, two arm, phase II study of 1st Cycle dose optimization for regorafenib treatment compared to standard dose of regorafenib treatment in HCC patients for whom the physician is intending to treat with regorafenib and who failed any 1st line systemic treatment.
NCT03370120
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of Padsevonil administered at individualized doses as adjunctive treatment for subjects with drug-resistant epilepsy.
NCT01925794
This is a prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, single arm clinical trial that will be conducted at up to 40 sites in the United States and Outside United States (OUS). This study will enroll patients with symptomatic ischemic heart disease due to a single de novo lesion contained within a native coronary artery with reference vessel diameter between 2.5 mm and 4.0 mm and lesion length ≤ 24 mm that is amenable to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and stent deployment. All patients will be followed at 30 days, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year and annually for 5 years post index stenting procedure.
NCT03350269
The study is designed as a randomized controlled trial. The investigators hypothesize that kidney transplant recipient candidates whose donors are offered reimbursement of lost wages (treatment arm) will have a higher probability of receiving a living donor kidney transplant than those randomized to no offer of lost wage reimbursement (control arm). The study expects to demonstrate incremental living donor kidney transplants by assisting individuals who wish to be living organ donors but would be otherwise unable to do so due to the obligatory forfeit of income during the evaluation, donation surgery, and post-operative recuperation periods.
NCT02022423
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a significant vascular condition affecting millions of adults. Exercise such as walking is highly effective for reducing PAD symptoms such as claudication (pain with walking) and improving physical function. The trial examines the efficacy of a internet-delivered walking program for patients with PAD. Comparator groups including telephone counselling, the combination of internet-delivered walking program + telephone counseling, or usual care. The primary outcome of interest is maximal walking distance.
NCT04151290
The primary objective of this study is to collect data to ascertain the Positive Predictive Value (PPV) and Negative Predictive Value (NPV) of the current version of the Cognoa diagnostic device.
NCT01962792
A MULTICENTER PHASE 1/2B STUDY OF THE BRUTON'S TYROSINE KINASE INHIBITOR, IBRUTINIB (PCI-32765), IN COMBINATION WITH CARFILZOMIB (KYPROLIS™) IN SUBJECTS WITH RELAPSED OR RELAPSED AND REFRACTORY MULTIPLE MYELOMA
NCT01150890
The study will examine the safety and effectiveness of brodalumab for the treatment of moderate to severe Crohn's disease. Participants will randomly assigned to receive either brodalumab or placebo (a lookalike liquid that doesn't have any drug in it) and neither the doctor nor the patient will know what treatment is being given.
