NCT05094050
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurological condition, which means it affects the brain. This study will evaluate how ABBV-951 is absorbed under the skin of participants with PD when administered to arm, thigh and flank compared to the abdomen. ABBV-951 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of PD. Study doctors randomly assign participants to 1 of 4 groups, called treatment arms. Each treatment arm receives ABBV-951 administered in a different order in the arm, high, flank and abdomen. Approximately 12 adult participants over 30 years with a diagnosis of PD will be enrolled in approximately 10 sites in the United States. Participants will receive continuous (24hours/day) subcutaneous infusion of ABBV-951 for 2 consecutive days for each infusion site (arm, thigh, flank and abdomen), for a total duration of treatment up to 12 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will be confined at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires. Adverse events will be monitored throughout the study.
NCT03190473
Indication for use: "The Svelte DES is indicated for improving coronary luminal diameter in patients with symptomatic heart disease, including patients with non-ST elevation MI due to discrete de novo native coronary artery lesions. The treated lesion length should be less than the nominal stent length with a reference vessel diameter of 2.25 mm - 4.00 mm
NCT00271024
The purpose of the proposed study is to conduct a randomized, double-blind clinical trial to compare adjunct treatment with 50 mg oral naltrexone vs. placebo in conjunction with standard smoking cessation treatment with nicotine patch and counseling. Hypotheses: 1. Naltrexone will improve smoking cessation quit rates, as measured at the end of active treatment (3 months) and during long term follow up (1 year). 2. Weight and smoking-related variables (i.e., less weight gain, as well as reduced craving and withdrawal) will be important factors by which naltrexone improves smoking cessation outcome. 3. These effects are predicted to be stronger in women compared to men.
NCT03443076
This study will assess the relative bioavailability of 500 mg eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) + docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in a self-micro-emulsifying delivery system (SMEDS) formulation compared with a standard omega-3-acid ethyl ester product in healthy men and women.
NCT03868735
The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the CleanSweep™ Closed Suction System on time to first successful spontaneous breathing trial in mechanically ventilated patients in the medical intensive care unit. Secondary aims of this study are to evaluate the use endotracheal tube sweeping compared to closed suctioning effect on length of mechanical ventilation, length of ICU stay, length of total hospital stay, and occurrence of ventilator-associated events.
NCT03805451
This is a formative study, designed to provide information required to tailor Life-Steps for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), an evidence-based cognitive behavioral adherence intervention, to enhance PrEP uptake and adherence in high risk young men who have sex with men (YMSM) and young transgender women who have sex with men (YTWSM). Life-Steps for Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a manualized modular adherence intervention based on principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), that allows for recipients of the intervention to focus on the greatest challenges that they perceive in maintaining optimal adherence to PrEP.
NCT01238172
RATIONALE: Eating a diet high in vegetables may slow down disease progression in patients with prostate cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well diet works in altering disease progression in patients with prostate cancer on active surveillance.
NCT03428217
Tthe primary objective of this study is to compare blinded Independent Radiology Committee (IRC)-adjudicated progression free survival (PFS) of patients treated with CB-839 + cabozantinib (CB-Cabo) versus placebo + cabozantinib (Pbo-Cabo) for advanced or metastatic clear-cell RCC (ccRCC).
NCT05772936
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of reactive step training on the timing and frequency of perturbation induced paretic leg stepping in persons post stroke. The study will consist of one or six one-hour training sessions and a pre and post visit each lasting up to two hours at our downtown Chicago location.
NCT03541174
The goal of this clinical trial is to show the blood pressure lowering effect of aprocitentan, a new drug, when added to other anti-hypertensive drugs of patients with difficult to control (resistant) high blood pressure (hypertension), and to show that blood pressure reduction is kept for long period of time.
NCT03616834
Phase 2, open-label study that will evaluate the safety, tolerability, antitumor activities.
NCT03060577
This clinical study was designed to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of long-term dosing of inclisiran and evolocumab given as subcutaneous injections in participants with high cardiovascular risk and elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
NCT02399813
This is a single arm Phase 2 study. Stage 1 and 2 of the study are monotherapy evaluations of ADXS11-001 in 31 and 24 participants, respectively with persistent/recurrent, loco-regional or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma (SCCA) of the anorectal canal that have received at least 1 regimen for the treatment of advanced disease.
NCT05079360
To demonstrate the efficacy of sabizabulin in the treatment of ER+HER2- metastatic breast cancer (MBC) as measured by progression free survival (PFS) by RECIST v1.1.
NCT02738853
The study objective is to evaluate safety and efficacy of the Medtronic TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) 2.0 system in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis who are considered at high through extreme risk for surgical aortic valve replacement
NCT02969525
This is a study to evaluate the dose response based on the efficacy, safety and tolerability of bimekizumab in subjects with active psoriatic arthritis.
NCT00967005
The objective of this application is to examine whether, given its mechanism of action, the dietary supplement, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) will reduce both tobacco use and pathological gamblers (PG) symptoms in nicotine dependent pathological gamblers.
NCT01059500
Overtesting for Acute Coronary Syndrome(ACS) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE) in low risk Emergency Department(ED) patients can increase exposure of nondiseased patients to radiation, intravenous contrast and anticoagulation. This project addresses question of whether quantitative Pre-Test Probability(PTP) assessed from two validated web-based computer algorithms (the project "webtool"), can improve the diagnostic evaluation of adult patients with charted evidence of chest pain and dyspnea. After a validation phase, the main study will randomize patients to either the Standard care group or the Intervention group, which will receive the output of the ACS and PE webtool that includes the PTP estimates of ACS and PE and one of three recommendations regarding next steps: 1. No further testing, 2. Exclusion with a biomarker protocol, or 3. Immediate imaging +/- empiric anticoagulation.
NCT03507452
The purpose of this study is to evaluate, in patients with tumors known to express the protein mesothelin, the following properties of BAY2287411 injection: * safety (to identify, assess, minimize, and appropriately manage the risks associated to the study drug) * tolerability (the degree to which side effects can be tolerated by your body) * maximum tolerated dose * pharmacokinetics (the effect of your body on the study drug) * anti-tumor activity * recommended dose for further clinical development
