NCT00943072
This is a phase 3 study to determine the efficacy of VEGF Trap-Eye injected into the eye on vision function in subjects with macular edema as a consequence of central retinal vein occlusion.
NCT01044498
This open-label, randomized, cross-over study evaluated the effect of tocilizumab (TCZ) on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a common oral contraceptive (OC) in female patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and in healthy female volunteers of child bearing age. The RA patients received OC in combination with TCZ, whereas the healthy volunteers received OC only. The RA patients received OC in 3 cycles of 21 days each; TCZ 8 mg/kg was administered once as an intravenous infusion on the first day of Cycle 2. The healthy volunteers received OC for only one 21-day cycle.
NCT01293461
The purpose of this study is to assess safety and tolerability and determine the pharmacokinetics of subcutaneous single and multiple (up to 12) dose administration of CBX129801 (long-acting synthetic C-peptide) in type 1 diabetes patients.
NCT00084630
This phase II trial is studying how well imatinib mesylate works in treating patients with locally recurrent or metastatic dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) or transformed fibrosarcomatous DFSP (a type of soft tissue sarcoma). Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth
NCT00006102
Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of rebeccamycin analogue in treating children who have solid tumors or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00003765
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of O6-benzylguanine and carmustine in treating children who have refractory CNS tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells.
NCT00055835
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, paclitaxel, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy before radiation therapy, and combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy, may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of neoadjuvant gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and carboplatin followed by cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients who have locally advanced or recurrent carcinoma (cancer) of the urothelium.
NCT00626002
The purpose of this study is to evaluate long term safety, efficacy and tolerability of ABT-874 in adults with moderate to severe psoriasis.
NCT00507936
This study will compare the efficacy and the safety of ABT-894 (1mg, 2mg or 4mg capsules) administered BID to placebo in the treatment of DNP. Another treatment arm will be Duloxetine 60mg administered once daily (QD). Approximately 275 subjects will be enrolled into the study at approximately 50 sites in both the United States and Europe. The study will be divided into the following periods: Screening/Washout (21 days) followed by a Baseline Visit, an 8-week Treatment Period and a 1-week Follow-up Visit.
NCT00485173
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational implant (INFUSE® Bone Graft/PEEK Interbody Spacer/Anterior Cervical Plate) as a method of facilitating spinal fusion at a single level from C3-C7 in patients with symptomatic cervical degenerative disc disease.
NCT01734668
The objective of this study is to demonstrate the clinical performance of the Sofia RSV FIA with specimens from symptomatic pediatric subjects who are less than nineteen (19) years of age.
NCT01076530
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of vorinostat when given together with temozolomide in treating young patients with relapsed or refractory primary brain tumors or spinal cord tumors. Vorinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Vorinostat may help temozolomide work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug.
NCT00897858
RATIONALE: Studying samples of cerebrospinal fluid from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors identify biomarkers related to cancer. PURPOSE: This laboratory study is studying cerebrospinal fluid proteins and angiogenesis proteins in young patients with newly diagnosed central nervous system tumors.
NCT00969722
This is a multicenter, randomized, controlled, open-label study. Patients meeting inclusion/exclusion criteria will be randomized (1:1) to receive two cycles of MAb-3F8 plus GM-CSF or RA plus GM-CSF. Patients who do not respond to their assigned treatment after two cycles may cross-over to receive the alternate treatment. Disease response and safety will be assessed in all patients after cycle 2 and after cycle 4.
NCT00137345
The purpose of this study is to determine if one drug is superior to another with regard to safety and the preservation of renal function after a kidney transplant.
NCT00032357
Veterans Affairs Cooperative Study #410, The Iron and Atherosclerosis Trial, FeAST, a 24-hospital prospective randomized single-blinded clinical trial of graded iron reduction was conducted between May 1, 1999 and April 30, 2005, and has now been completed. A total of 1,277 primarily male participants with peripheral arterial disease were entered. The primary outcome was all cause mortality and the secondary outcome combined death plus non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke.
NCT00483756
A new immunosuppressive drug, based on the inhibition of an important enzyme in the immune system called JAK3, is being developed by Pfizer to prevent transplant rejection. In this research study, a JAK3 inhibitor or cyclosporine will be given to new kidney transplant patients for 12 months. Patients will be assigned to one of three treatment groups after receiving a kidney transplant. Two of the treatment groups will receive 2 different dosing regimens of the JAK3 inhibitor that will be taken by mouth. The third treatment group will be a standard-of-care control arm. Patients will continue to take the assigned study medication for 12 months as well as other standard transplant medications such as prednisone.
NCT00686933
The objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term effects and tolerability of ABT-089 in adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
NCT01577563
RATIONAL is a multinational, multicentre, observational, cross sectional study of adult patients in treatment with NSAID therapy for OA, RA or AS during for at least 2 weeks before study visit (at least one dose).
NCT00384358
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety of administering rhBMP-2/CPM as an adjuvant to internal fixation in subjects with fractures of the proximal femur.
