NCT06691607
This single-center prospective non-randomized observational research included 120 critically ill persons, at Sohag University hospital's critical care unit. NGAL serum level was assessed at admission to the intensive care unit (NGAL1) and 24 hours after first sample (NGAL2). Cases were categorized into two groups depending on their progression or not to AKI, group A or group B respectively during their intensive care unit stay. Serum NGAL1 and NGAL2 concentrations were compared in relation to development of AKI (group A) or not (group B), need for RRT or not and in relation to mortality.
NCT06407154
The CLIMATE-II Observational Study examines to what extent chronically ill patients experience adverse health effects because of heat and whether the patients' specific health behavior, somatosensory amplification, risk and benefit perception, self-efficacy, health literacy, degree of urbanisation of the patients' administration district and characteristics of the patients' neighborhood are associated with these effects.
NCT06685367
"Huede" AI Aided AKI Prediction Software, Acura AKI, uses machine learning algorithms to predict the risk of AKI within the next 24 hours and provide a ranking of feature importance. By using Acura AKI, physicians can assess the risk of AKI, focusing on high-risk patients to provide care decisions. This study will be conducted in a prospective randomized clinical trial in adult ICUs, implementing the Acura AKI system for predicting AKI. The study aims to determine whether early prediction and intervention using the Acura AKI system can improve the outcomes of critically ill patients with adverse kidney conditions. The study endpoint is to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of using Acura AKI, including the incidence of AKI, dialysis rates, mortality rates, length of hospital stay, and treatment costs.
