This study evaluates whether physician-guided visual information provided before impacted mandibular third molar surgery can improve hemodynamic stability during the perioperative period. Participants are assigned to one of three preoperative information methods: standard verbal information, real surgical video information, or 3D animation video information. Changes in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation are assessed at multiple perioperative time points to determine whether visual information reduces stress-related physiologic responses. The study also examines whether these information methods influence preoperative dental fear.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of tumescent solution on post operative sequalae in patients treated for surgical removal of impacted lower third molar. The objectives are Primary Objective 1\. To evaluate post-operative pain severity after surgical removal of impacted lower 3rd molar under Lidocaine 2% with adrenaline with and without Tumescent steroid infiltration. Secondary objectives 1. To evaluate post-operative trismus after surgical removal of impacted lower 3rd molar under Lidocaine 2% with adrenaline with and without Tumescent steroid infiltration 2. To evaluate post operative swelling after surgical removal of impacted lower 3rd molar under Lidocaine 2% with adrenaline with and without Tumescent steroid infiltration

Surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molars is a common procedure that may be associated with postoperative pain, swelling, limited mouth opening, and delayed bone healing. Various regenerative techniques are used to improve healing outcomes after tooth extraction. This study evaluated whether autologous platelet concentrates (advanced platelet-rich fibrin \[A-PRF+\] and concentrated growth factors \[CGF\]) and photobiomodulation using low-level laser therapy can improve healing after mandibular third molar extraction. Participants requiring surgical removal of a mandibular third molar were randomly assigned to one of six treatment groups. Depending on the group, patients received standard wound closure alone, photobiomodulation, placement of autologous platelet concentrates into the extraction socket, or a combination of platelet concentrates and photobiomodulation. Postoperative pain, swelling, mouth opening, and early wound healing were assessed during the first postoperative week. Bone regeneration within the extraction socket was evaluated using radiological imaging several months after surgery. All procedures used in this study are commonly applied in clinical practice and are considered safe. The results of this study may help identify the most effective approach to improve healing and reduce postoperative discomfort following mandibular third molar extraction.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of submucosal injection of dexamethasone in reducing pain, swelling and trismus, thus to minimize patient's discomfort after surgery, so that the patients could pursue their daily activities without delay. Moreover, the submucosal injection is convenient to the patient and surgeon both, as it is injected after application of local anesthesia and easily administered. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the outcome of submucosal injection of 4mg/ml dexamethasone in comparison with submucosal injection of normal saline (N/S) on mean post-operative pain, trismus and swelling following mandibular third molar surgery.

This study is a prospective, randomized clinical trial comparing recovery after the surgical removal of impacted lower wisdom teeth. The aim is to evaluate swelling, pain, mouth opening, and quality of life after surgery. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Harran University, and all patients gave written informed consent. It was conducted at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. A total of 50 patients participated. They were randomly assigned to two groups: one treated with a piezoelectric device (study group) and the other with a conventional rotary handpiece (control group). All surgeries were performed by the same surgeon under local anesthesia. In both groups, the tooth was removed, the bone edges were smoothed, the area was cleaned with sterile solution, and the gum flap was closed with stitches. In the piezoelectric group, the bone was removed using an ultrasonic piezoelectric system. In the conventional group, bone removal was performed with a surgical drill under irrigation. After surgery, patients were followed for pain, swelling, mouth opening, and quality of life. Pain was measured daily for 7 days using a 10-point visual scale (0 = no pain, 10 = worst pain). Mouth opening was measured before surgery, on the 2nd day, and on the 7th day after surgery. Swelling was measured using 3-dimensional facial scans taken before surgery, and on the 2nd and 7th days after surgery. Quality of life was assessed with a short questionnaire (OHIP-14), completed before surgery and on days 2, and 7 after surgery. Higher scores meant a worse impact on daily life.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if use of ozone works to treat complications after impacted mandibular third molar surgery. It will also learn does ozone has positive effect on wound healing and quality of life. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does ozone reduce incidence of postoperative compliactions such as pain, swelling or reduced mouth opening after impacted mandibular third molar surgery? * Does ozone improve wound healing after impacted mandibular third molar surgery? * Does ozone have positive effect on quality of life after impacted mandibular third molar surgery? Participants will: * Receive ozone after impacted mandibular third molar surgery. * Visit the clinic 1st, 3rd, and 7th days after the intervention for checkups and tests. * Keep a diary of their symptoms.

Dexmedetomidine is an alpha 2-adrenoreceptor agonist, which provides sedation, analgesia and anxiolysis in clinical practice (Cortinez et al., 2004,Hall et al., 2000). Three types of alpha 2-adrenergic receptor subtypes are found in the human body and they have been designated alpha 2A, alpha 2B and alpha 2C. The alpha 2A subtype is most likely responsible for the analgesic properties of dexmedetomidine in both peripheral and central sites (Kingery et al., 2000, Smith et al., 2001). Activation of central alpha 2-adrenoreceptors in the locus ceruleus (Correa-Sales et al., 1992) and the dorsal horn of the spinal cord (Gaumann et al., 1992b) are responsible for both analgesic and sedative effects. Dexmedetomidine has a very high alpha 2 to alpha 1 selectivity, 1620 to 1, or approximately 8 times that of clonidine. It is also 4 to 6 times more potent than clonidine by weight (Bhana et al., 2000). Although dexmedetomidine produces dose dependent sedation upon intravenous administration, its the analgesic effect is of dexmedetomidine is more variable and controversial. In an ischaemic pain model in healthy volunteers, a single bolus of dexmedetomidine produced a 50% reduction in pain scores when compared to placebo (Jaakola et al., 1991). In another volunteer study using the cold pressor test, dexmedetomidine 1 µg/kg over 10 minutes followed by an infusion of 0.2 to 0.6 µg/kg/hour reduced pain by approximately 30% (Hall et al., 2000). However, when administered as a target controlled infusion at concentrations ranging from 0.09 to 1.23 ng/mL, dexmedetomidine had no analgesic effect in human volunteers subjected to heat and electrical pain, although sedation was produced (Memis et al., 2004). Clonidine and dexmedetomidine are two common alpha 2 agonists used clinically. Although clonidine former has been used successfully in regional analgesia and anesthesia (Gabriel et al., 2001)., There are only very few studies evaluating the peripheral analgesic effects of dexmedetomidine. Since acute postoperative dental pain is a common analgesia model (Cooper, 1991; US Food and Drug Administration 1992), the investigators conducted this study, aiming to assess the postoperative analgesic efficacy of peripheral dexmedetomidine after bilateral third molar surgery under general anaesthesia. The analgesic effects were compared up to the 72nd hour postoperatively in order to evaluate any potential preventive analgesic effect.

Objective: The study aimed to assess the effect of topical application of an amino acid + sodium hyaluronate acid gel after lower third molar extraction. Study design: 136 patients requiring lower third molar extraction were enrolled. An amino acid + sodium hyaluronate acid (HA) gel was applied to the sockets of the patients in the treatment group immediately following extraction; the sockets of the controls were simply flushed with a sterile saline solution. 7 and 14 days after surgery, patients' outcomes and postoperative complications were evaluated. Cumulative incidence of dehiscence and secondary outcome measures were analyzed using a chi-square test.
