The purpose of this clinical trial is to investigate whether the drug verteporfin can reduce the formation of scars in adult patients undergoing a tummy tuck procedure (abdominoplasty). The main questions the study aims to answer are: * Whether treatment with verteporfin can reduce scar formation in surgical wounds that are closed with sutures, compared with placebo (saline). This will be assessed based on how the scars look after 3 months using a standardized scar assessment questionnaire (Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale). * Whether treatment with verteporfin can reduce scar formation in small open wounds created after taking small tissue samples (4 mm), compared with placebo. This will also be assessed after 3 months using the same questionnaire. The researchers will compare three different doses of verteporfin (0.5 mg/mL, 1.0 mg/mL, and 2.0 mg/mL) with placebo. Each participant will receive all three doses as well as placebo, but in different areas of the surgical wound and in different small wounds, allowing comparisons to be made within the same person. Participants will: * Undergo a planned abdominoplasty procedure * During surgery, receive small injections in the skin with either verteporfin or placebo in different parts of the surgical wound. * Have four small wounds (4 mm) created from tissue samples, which will also be treated with verteporfin or placebo. * Attend follow-up visits after 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months, where the scars will be examined. * Have photographs and ultrasound measurements taken of the scars. * Complete questionnaires about their own assessment of the appearance of the scars.

The Surgical Care and Recovery with Laser Evaluation Trial (S.C.A.R.L.E.T.) is a prospective, single-center clinical study conducted at AdventHealth Medical Group Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Innovation Tower. The study evaluates whether early adjuvant ProFractional laser and/or Broadband Light (BBL) therapy improves the appearance, texture, and patient-reported outcomes of surgical scars following major body-contouring procedures. Participants undergoing qualifying surgeries will be grouped as either cosmetic (receiving three laser/BBL sessions) or non-cosmetic (receiving standard care only). Scar outcomes will be assessed using validated instruments-SCAR-Q and Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS)-along with standardized photographic analysis at serial follow-ups through six months postoperatively.

Evaluator-blinded study of the safety and performance of fractional radiofrequency (FRF) for the treatment of surgical scars following breast augmentation, abdominoplasty or facelift. The study will enroll up to 50 female subjects requesting treatment of surgical scars following breast augmentation or abdominoplasty and up to 25 male and female subjects requesting treatment of surgical scars following facelift surgery. Subjects will receive a total of 3 treatments of their surgical scars at 1-month intervals. Subjects will be followed up at 10 months after their last treatment (12 months after the first treatment).

Scar is an unpleasant symptom that commonly appear after orthopedic surgery, especially the joint procedure. Due to the wide motion range, skin around joint has excessive tension that may increase risk for wide or conspicuous scar formation of surgical wound. Noticeable scar can negatively impact the quality of life and psychosocial development. However, scar management is overlooked in early recovery period easily. Patients commonly start to turn their attention to the surgical scar after the completion of rehabilitation or the resolution of disease or unbearable symptom. It is always beyond the best period of scar treatment, 3 to 6 months after wound healing. This study is aimed to observe and evaluate the scar formation with or without aggressive management in pediatric population within 6 months after wound healing.
