NCT07264686
Small cutaneous ulcers are common in Papua New Guinea but are normally left untreated due to lack of easy access to basic medicines. The goal of this clinical trial is to test the efficacy of a readily available antibacterial plant medicine called Pterocarpus indicus comparing healing outcomes to control arms receiving Savlon antiseptic cream and no treatment. Participants with cutaneous ulcers less than 1cm in diameter will be randomized to receive topical treatment with a plant medicines, Savlon cream or no treatment treatment and followed up at day 7 and 14 to assess ulcer healing and ulcer surface area.
NCT06730022
The objective of this study is to make Dermacyte Liquid available on an expanded access basis to treat cutaneous ulcers and wounds refractory to initial treatment or that do not have adequate alternative treatments. Minimal data will be collected to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Dermacyte Liquid.
NCT05764876
The goal of this clinical trial is to test the non inferiority of linezolid compared with azithromycin as a treatment for yaws . The main questions it aims to answer are: can linezolid cure active yaws, and can linezolid cure latent yaws. Participants with serologically confirmed yaws will be randomized to receive linezolid (experimental) or azithromycin (control group) treatment and followed up to assess clinical resolution.
NCT01541930
This clinical trial objective is to investigate the safety and efficacy of GK567 to alleviate malodour of foul smelling, anaerobically infected fungating neoplastic tumours, over 14 days of treatment. The clinical hypothesis is that the success rate is no worse than 70% in the population of interest, where success for a patient is defined as a smell score of 0 or 1 at Day 14/end of treatment, as assessed by the Study Investigator.
