NCT00107848
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with PROVIGIL in children and adolescents with excessive sleepiness (ES) associated with narcolepsy or OSAHS (obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea), when administered for up to 12 months. Safety and tolerability will be evaluated throughout the study by means of adverse event information, clinical laboratory test results, vital signs measurements, and body weight and height measurements; quarterly physical examination findings; and 12 lead electrocardiograph (ECG) evaluations at the end of the study. In addition, the cognitive and behavioral effects of PROVIGIL will be assessed quarterly as measured by the Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 6-18 (CBCL/6-18), a brief psychiatric interview, and the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test (KBIT 2).
NCT00236067
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an investigational anti-anxiety medication relative to placebo in patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
NCT01641640
This study was to assess whether sofosbuvir in combination with ribavirin (RBV) and pegylated interferon alfa 2a (PEG) administered for 12 weeks is safe and effective in patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes 1, 4, 5 , or 6 as assessed by the rate of sustained viral response (SVR) 12 weeks after discontinuation of therapy (SVR12).
NCT00484315
The purpose of the TAXUS PERSEUS Workhorse trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the next-generation Boston Scientific TAXUS paclitaxel-eluting coronary stent system (TAXUS® ElementTM) for the treatment of de novo atherosclerotic lesions of up to 28 mm in length in native coronary arteries of 2.75 mm to 4.0 mm diameter.
NCT01337843
This research will evaluate the efficacy of a new online self- help intervention, the Wellness Workbook, for individuals with chronic low back pain (CLBP). Participants will be randomly assigned to use the Wellness Workbook or alternative self-help materials and assessed at baseline, post-intervention (10 weeks) and at follow-up (18 weeks). Outcome measures include pain-related disability and pain severity.
NCT01335152
Stress Management interventions have been shown to decrease cancer-related distress, foster emotional growth and improve immune functioning during treatment for breast cancer. This study will evaluate an online version of a stress management intervention for women with early stage breast cancer. Each chapter of the 10-week intervention include self-assessment and targeted feedback, education, interactive learning exercises -- all tailored to the needs of women with early stage breast cancer. In addition, guided writing exercises will promote emotional expression and a discussion board will encourage group support. The web-based intervention is being evaluated in a randomized clinical trial with a sample of 120 women with early stage breast cancer. Women will be randomly assigned to use the 10-week intervention with biweekly telephone assessments or to the telephone assessments alone.
NCT00008424
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of irinotecan in treating children with refractory or advanced solid tumors who are receiving anticonvulsants.
NCT00057356
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose ranging pilot study to examine the effects of conivaptan in patients with acute decompensated heart failure.
NCT00933985
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of obatoclax mesylate when given together with vincristine sulfate, doxorubicin hydrochloride, and dexrazoxane hydrochloride in treating young patients with relapsed or refractory solid tumors, lymphoma, or leukemia. Obatoclax mesylate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the proteins needed for cell growth and causing the cells to self-destruct. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vincristine sulfate, doxorubicin hydrochloride, and dexrazoxane hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving obatoclax mesylate together with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells.
NCT01563978
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of fostamatinib compared to placebo on ambulatory blood pressure in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who are taking a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). The study will last for 57 days.
NCT00968708
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cardiovascular outcomes of alogliptin, once daily (QD), compared with placebo, in addition to standard of care, in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and acute coronary syndrome.
NCT01227668
The purpose of this study is to determine whether pediatric participants with irritability associated with autistic disorder who have responded to aripiprazole treatment will experience a relapse significantly later when continuing therapy with aripiprazole than will participants who receive placebo
NCT00093912
