It is hoped that TAK-071 will help people with Parkinson's disease to walk with better balance. The main aim of the study is to check if there is a difference in how participants walk after treatment with TAK-071. Another aim is to see if it improves how participants think and remember. At the first visit, the study doctor will check who can take part. Participants who can take part will be picked for 1 of 2 groups by chance. Both groups will have 2 treatments but in a different order. The treatments are TAK-071 tablets or placebo. In this study, a placebo will look like the TAK-071 but will not have any medicine in it. One group will take TAK-071 for 6 weeks, have at least a 3-week break, then take a placebo for 6 weeks. The other group will take a placebo for 6 weeks, have at least a 3-week break, then take TAK-071 for 6 weeks. The participants will not know the order of their 2 treatments, nor will their study doctors. This is to help make sure the results are more reliable. The participants will visit the clinic at the beginning and end of each treatment for a check-up. 14 days after the 2nd treatment, clinic staff will telephone the participants for a final check-up.

This is an Interventional Study in Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcomas (ASTS). It is a Phase 1b, open-label, dose-escalation clinical study evaluating the safety of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim in the treatment of advanced soft tissue sarcomas. The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim in the treatment of ASTS and determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim. The primary endpoint is the MTD (RP2D).The secondary endpoints are: safety profile of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim, PFS, TTP, ORR, DoR, OS and PK. As exploratory endpoint, Quality of life will be measured by using the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy: General (FACT-G).

The Canadian Australasian Randomized Trial of Screening Kidney Transplant Candidates for Coronary Artery Disease (CARSK) will test the hypothesis that eliminating the regular use of non-invasive screening tests for CAD AFTER waitlist activation is not inferior to regular (i.e., annual) screening for CAD during wait-listing for the prevention of Major Adverse Cardiac Events. Secondary analyses will assess the impact of screening on the rate of transplantation, and the relative cost-effectiveness of screening.

This is a study in people with a type of diabetic eye disease called diabetic retinopathy with diabetic macular ischemia. People who have had laser treatment for their diabetic retinopathy can participate in the study. The laser treatment is called panretinal photocoagulation. The purpose of the study is to find out how well different doses of a medicine called BI 764524 are tolerated. BI 764524 is injected into the eye. The study has 2 parts. In the first part, participants get different doses of BI 764524 only once. Participants are in the first part for about 5 months and visit the study site about 8 times. In the second part, participants are put into different groups by chance. Some participants get BI 764524 injections every 4 weeks. Other participants get sham injections every 4 weeks. A sham injection means that it is not a real injection and contains no medicine. Participants cannot tell whether they get the real injection or a sham injection. For the second part, participants are in the study for about 7 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 7 times. In this study, BI 764524 is given to humans for the first time. The doctors compare how well people tolerate the BI 764524 injections and the sham injections. The doctors also regularly check the general health of the participants.
