NCT01052077
This is a Double-blind study wherein patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) will receive either from 1 to 3 mg a day of study medication (OPC-34712)or placebo (an inactive substance) in addition to an FDA approved antidepressant in order to determine if the study medication is effective as an add on treatment of MDD.
NCT00625612
The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of one dose strength of Denufosol compared to placebo in patients with CF and a predicted FEV1 of greater than or equal to 75% but less than or equal to 110% predicted.
NCT00879333
This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of RAD001 monotherapy in patients with advanced gastric cancer which has progressed after one or two lines of prior chemotherapy.
NCT01644175
Alirocumab (SAR236553/REGN727) is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). Primary Objective of the study: * To demonstrate the reduction of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) by alirocumab as add-on therapy to stable maximally tolerated daily statin therapy with or without other lipid-modifying therapy (LMT) in comparison with placebo after 24 weeks of treatment in high cardiovascular (CV) risk participants with hypercholesterolemia Secondary Objectives: * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab in comparison with placebo on LDL-C at other time points * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on other lipid parameters * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab
NCT01856881
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics following ascending multiple doses of AMG 876 in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
NCT00477490
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of several doses of the melt formulation of desmopressin in a broad population of adult patients with nocturia.
NCT00233883
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tolerability of a subcutaneous needle-free injection device used to administer Fuzeon, compared with the standard needle/syringe supplied with commercial Fuzeon. The anticipated time on study treatment is \<3 months, and the target sample size is \<100 individuals.
NCT00560235
Define the efficacy of CP-751,871 in patients with Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors
NCT01961414
The purpose of this research study is to determine if a "Treat and Extend" regimen (increasing the time between visits when the disease is stable and not getting worse) of aflibercept 2.0mg injections inside the eye for treating patients with Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration.
NCT01666405
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) therapy with the Urgent® PC Neuromodulation System (Uroplasty, Inc., Minnetonka, MN, USA) for the treatment of fecal incontinence (FI).
NCT01893515
The objectives of this study is * To evaluate the efficacy of PRC-4016 by assessment of the percentage change in blood lipids and lipoprotein parameters from baseline after 12 weeks of treatment. * To evaluate the safety of PRC-4016 as assessed by adverse events and other safety parameters
NCT00928512
This study will assess at Week 16 the efficacy and safety of AIN457 at different doses in patients with active RA despite stable MTX therapy. Treatment will continue up to Week 48 with a safety follow-up at Week 60 to assess the long term efficacy and safety of AIN457 treatment in combination with MTX in RA.
NCT00738881
This randomized phase III trial studies pemetrexed disodium to see how well it works compared with erlotinib hydrochloride as second-line therapy in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Pemetrexed disodium and erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether pemetrexed disodium is more effective than erlotinib hydrochloride in treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT00475085
RATIONALE: Antiemetic drugs, such as granisetron, dexamethasone, prochlorperazine, aprepitant, and palonosetron, may help lessen or prevent nausea. It is not yet known which combination of antiemetic drugs is more effective in preventing nausea caused by chemotherapy. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is comparing different combinations of granisetron, dexamethasone, prochlorperazine, aprepitant, and palonosetron to see how well they work in preventing nausea in patients undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.
NCT00471445
RATIONALE: Topical cream containing amitriptyline and ketamine may help relieve pain, numbness, tingling, and other symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. It is not yet known whether topical amitriptyline and ketamine cream is more effective than a placebo in treating peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying the side effects and how well topical amitriptyline and ketamine cream work compared with a placebo in treating peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy in patients with cancer.
NCT00397683
The purpose of this study is to test MK0822 on disease activity in patients with osteoarthritis in the knee. Disease modifying activity of MK0822 will be assessed by measurements of knee cartilage using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the knee. This is an early phase trial and some specific protocol information is proprietary and not publicly available at this time. (Full information is available to trial participants).
NCT01121575
Lung cancer tumors become resistant to the first generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors erlotinib or gefitinib by changing and increasing the activity of two cell signaling pathways: the cMET pathway and the EGFR pathway. Both resistance mechanisms can occur at the same time, in the same patient and even in the same tumor. This study combines a second generation EGFR inhibitor and a cMET inhibitor to block both these pathways in order to overcome resistance and treat this disease.
NCT00932126
This is the first study using PF-03758309, an oral compound, in patients with advanced solid tumors. In this study different doses of PF-03758309 will be administered to different groups of patients. The study will assess the compound's safety, the blood levels of PF-03758309 during the treatment and the effect of the compound on the tumor cells.
NCT00829816
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of dimebon given to Alzheimer's disease patients currently on a stable dose and regimen of memantine or memantine plus donepezil.
