The 2-week washout will allow to monitor re-emergence of neuropsychiatric and cognitive symptoms.
NCT02676310
This is a safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics study of bimatoprost in male patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA).
NCT00096135
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. Giving combination chemotherapy together with radiation therapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well giving chemotherapy together with radiation therapy works in treating patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia that has relapsed in the CNS and/or testes.
NCT00840086
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. The trial consists of a main trial and a sub-trial. The main trial investigates safety and efficacy of turoctocog alfa (recombinant factor VIII, rFVIII (N8)) in haemophilia A subjects, while the sub-trial investigates safety and efficacy of turoctocog alfa in prevention and treatment of bleeding episodes during surgical procedures.
NCT00978627
This trial is conducted in Europe, Oceania, and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this clinical trial is to compare NN5401 (insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDegAsp)) with insulin detemir (IDet) plus insulin aspart in patients with type 1 diabetes (main period) followed by the extension period comparing the long-term safety of NN5401 plus insulin aspart with insulin detemir plus insulin aspart. The main period is registered internally at Novo Nordisk as NN5401-3594 while the extension period is registered as NN5401-3645.
NCT01869959
The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and tolerability of LY2405319. It was given as a daily injection under the skin to participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) for 28 days. This study determined how long the drug stays in the body and how it affects blood sugar levels. After screening, the study lasted about 2 months for each participant. Participants continued their prestudy regimen of diet and exercise alone or in combination with metformin.
NCT00464763
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of dexmedetomidine in the prevention of postoperative delirium in subjects undergoing heart valve surgery with or without coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
NCT01845025
The purpose of this study was to assess whether the risk of serious asthma-related events (asthma-related hospitalizations, asthma related intubations, and asthma related deaths) in adolescents and adults (12 years of age and older) taking inhaled formoterol fumarate/fluticasone propionate combination was the same as those taking inhaled fluticasone propionate alone.
NCT02262845
The purpose of this study is to document clinical utility and distribution of indications for short term pancreatic stenting, and stent type preference by indication at tertiary referral centers with expertise in pancreatic endotherapy.
NCT01519167
The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety of dexmedetomidine in a pediatric population requiring non-intubated, spontaneous breathing, moderate to deep sedation (NI-MDS) for elective diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, expected to take more than 30 minutes.
NCT00153816
Extensive experimental and observational data suggest that intake of calcium and of vitamin D exert protective effects on colorectal neoplasia. Building on their previous work, the investigators will investigate the chemopreventive effect of vitamin D in the large bowel, to study whether calcium with vitamin D is more effective than calcium alone, and to confirm their positive finding regarding calcium. The goal of this study is the development of chemopreventive combinations that will reduce risk of colorectal neoplasia sufficiently to permit the lengthening of surveillance intervals in most patients and to clarify important issues regarding the mechanisms of colorectal carcinogenesis and chemoprevention.
NCT00459381
This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well pazopanib works in treating patients with recurrent glioblastoma. Pazopanib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor
NCT00296036
RATIONALE: Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and topical urea/lactic acid-based cream may prevent or lessen hand-foot syndrome caused by chemotherapy. It is not yet known whether giving pyridoxine with or without topical urea/lactic acid-based cream is more effective than topical urea/lactic acid-based cream alone or a placebo in preventing hand-foot syndrome. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying pyridoxine and topical urea/lactic acid-based cream to see how well they work compared with giving pyridoxine together with a placebo, giving topical urea/lactic acid-based cream together with a placebo, or giving two placebos in preventing hand-foot syndrome in patients who are receiving capecitabine for breast cancer or other cancer.
NCT01836471

NCT01094886
The study will describe the short-term effects the study drug, rivaroxaban, has on the body when a patient is switched from enoxaparin injection (by needle) to oral rivaroxaban (by mouth) for the prevention of blood clotting in the veins after elective total hip or total knee replacement surgery. After providing written informed consent, screening procedures will be completed to assess eligibility. After enrollment, all patients will be switched from enoxaparin to rivaroxaban. Blood samples for the short-term effects of rivaroxaban will be taken at various times while in the subacute unit. At the time of discharge, if the study doctor feels it is appropriate, an adequate supply of rivaroxaban will be provided to complete the full course of therapy. Upon completion of rivaroxaban therapy, all patients will be required to have final study procedures performed. Safety evaluations at the final visit will include clinical blood laboratory tests, a physical examination, urine pregnancy test (if applicable), recording of any adverse events including details regarding any bleeding episodes or blood clot events, and assessment of the surgical wound. All patients will return any unused study medication and study participation will be complete.
