NCT01522443
Bone metastases and associated pain are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Most approved therapies have shown some ability to reduce soft tissue lesions but none meaningfully impacts bone metastases (as demonstrated by lack of resolution of lesions on bone scan with these agents) or the pain associated with these metastases. This study will evaluate the effect of cabozantinib versus mitoxantrone plus prednisone on pain response and bone scan response in men with CRPC.
NCT02222493
The study will assess the efficacy and safety of PF-06438179 and infliximab in combination with methotrexate in subjects with active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response to methotrexate.
NCT00735475
The purpose of this study is to determine the immunogenicity and safety profile of CSL Limited's Influenza Virus Vaccine compared to a US Licensed Comparator Influenza Virus Vaccine.
NCT02585778
Primary Objectives: * To demonstrate the superiority of alirocumab in comparison with placebo in the reduction of calculated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in participants with diabetes treated with insulin and with hypercholesterolemia at high cardiovascular risk not adequately controlled on maximally tolerated LDL-C lowering therapy. * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab in participants with diabetes treated with insulin. Secondary Objective: To demonstrate that alirocumab was superior in comparison to placebo in its effects on other lipid parameters (i.e., measured LDL-C, non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol \[non-HDL-C\], apolipoprotein B \[Apo B\], total cholesterol \[TC\], lipoprotein a \[Lp(a)\], high density lipoprotein cholesterol \[HDL-C\], triglyceride \[TG\] levels, triglyceride rich lipoproteins \[TGRL\], apolipoprotein A-1 \[Apo A-1\], apolipoprotein C-III \[Apo C-III\], and LDL particle number and size).
NCT02722044
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of an auto-injector (AI) for the delivery of M923 in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
NCT01591096
Thrombolysis in Pediatric Stroke (TIPS) is a five-year multi-center international safety and dose-finding study of intravenous (IV) tPA in children with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) to determine the maximal safe dose of intravenous Tissue Plasminogen Activator (IV-tPA) among three doses (0.75. 0.9, 1.0 mg/kg) for children age 2-17 years within 4.5 hours from onset of acute AIS.
NCT00666588
This phase II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bortezomib and to see how well it works when given together with combination chemotherapy in treating younger patients with recurrent, refractory, or secondary acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as idarubicin, cytarabine, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells
NCT01675661
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) 1200 mg versus matched placebo (PBO) twice daily, added to contingency management (CM), on cannabis use among treatment-seeking cannabis-dependent adults (ages 18-50).
NCT02417961
The purpose of the study is to assess functionality, performance, and reliability of an accessorized pre-filled syringe (APFS) with benralizumab administered subcutaneously (SC) in an at-home setting reported by the patient or caregiver, and to confirm the safety and clinical benefit of benralizumab administration in asthma patients with severe asthma.
NCT03307122
Prospective, double-blind, randomized study of 2 infant formulas.
NCT00690378
The purpose of this study is to determine whether NXL104 plus ceftazidime is effective in the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections as compared to a comparator group.
NCT00784043
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and document longitudinal efficacy in young children implanted bilaterally with MED-EL COMBI 40+ / PULSARCI100/SONATATI100 cochlear implant systems.
NCT01553058
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of adalimumab (Humira), when compared to NB-UVB (narrow-band ultraviolet B) phototherapy or placebo (an inactive substance that may resemble an active substance but has no medical value) injection. The study will compare the effects of each on systemic inflammation and cardiovascular disease risk factors in subjects diagnosed with moderate to severe psoriasis. This study will look for systemic vascular inflammation in subjects with a test called FDG-PET/CT (Fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography). The study will also look for cardio metabolic (heart disease and metabolic factors such as diabetes) identifiers in the blood. A blood sample will be taken that will look for these markers identifying high cholesterol, cholesterol efflux function (the ability of cholesterol to move in the body), metabolic factors, and inflammation. This study will also assess the effect of adalimumab (Humira), when compared to NB-UVB phototherapy or placebo injection on psoriasis activity and severity. The study will also compare the safety of adalimumab (Humira) to NB-UVB phototherapy or placebo injection. This study will also evaluate subjects' reported outcomes through a questionnaire that will assess quality-of-life in subjects living with psoriasis.
NCT01866592
VIP-E is a one-arm, open-label, 40-52 week extension study to continue or cross over subjects of the VIP study (# 814278) to active drug (adalimumab) to determine if there is sustained improvement in vascular inflammation, lipid metabolism, and inflammatory markers. VIP-E extends VIP study procedures for 40-52 weeks including questionnaires, physical exams, blood and urine samples, lab tests, one additional FDG-PET/CT scan, and adalimumab injections following FDA-approved psoriasis treatment regimen.
NCT02238483
The purpose of this study is to determine whether AZD7624 can reduce acute Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) exacerbations in patients on COPD maintenance therapy with a history of frequent acute exacerbations.
NCT00726583
This study is being conducted to determine the safety and maximally tolerated dose of PX-866 when given orally on two different schedules: daily on days 1-5 and 8-12 of a 28 day cycle and daily on days 1-28 of a 28 day cycle.
