NCT01393964
The purpose of the study is to assess the concentration of Elotuzumab in Myeloma patients with very low kidney function including patients on dialysis.
NCT00381810
This is a Phase II/III open label, single-arm, multicenter, extension study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rituximab when administered on a scheduled basis every 6 months over the course of 1 year with reassessment of response at 12 months. This study is open to participants previously enrolled in Genentech Study U2971g only.
NCT01467882
The study will investigate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of triptorelin 22.5 mg 6-month formulation in 44 patients suffering from central precocious puberty. The total study duration per patient will be 12 months (48 weeks).
NCT01604252
This multi-center, prospective, observational cohort study will evaluate the effectiveness, safety and utilization of treatments in patients with advanced basal cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma nevus syndrome. The total study duration is anticipated to be a maximum of 8 years, including 3 years for patient recruitment and 5 years follow-up.
NCT01142336
A year-long randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of simvastatin to see if it produces beneficial changes in cerebral spinal fluid proteins associated with Alzheimer's disease.
NCT01000727
This study will test whether darapladib can safely lower the chances of having a cardiovascular event (such as a heart attack or urgent coronary revascularization (e.g. medical procedures performed to restore the normal blood flow in patients with atherosclerosis)) when treatment is started within 30 days after an acute coronary syndrome (also called ACS).
NCT02471222
This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-arm, parallel group study of ADS-5102 extended release (ER) capsules, an investigational formulation of amantadine, dosed once daily at bedtime for the treatment of walking impairment in MS. ADS-5102 is designed to be administered once daily at bed time, ADS-5102 achieves higher plasma amantadine concentrations in the early morning, sustained throughout the afternoon, and lower concentrations in the evening when patients are sleeping. ADS-5102 is designed to deliver its primary treatment effect during the day, and potentially reduce the adverse events of immediate-release amantadine when the patient is asleep.
NCT01674361
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of bitopertin in combination with SSRI in participants with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Participants will be randomized to receive either bitopertin 30 milligrams (mg) or bitopertin 10 mg or placebo orally daily in addition to their background therapy with an SSRI. Participants will be allocated to one of two strata. Participants in Stratum 1 will start study drug on Day 1. Participants in Stratum 2 will receive placebo from Day 1 (placebo lead-in) and will then start study drug at the Week 2 visit. Participants in both strata will receive the study drug in addition to their background therapy with an SSRI until Week 16.
NCT00561600
The primary objective of this investigation is to evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of the ASR™-XL Acetabular Cup System compared to the Pinnacle™ Acetabular Cup with a 28mm or 36mm ULTAMET™ metal insert.
NCT01711255
Recent research in multiple sclerosis (MS) have suggested that altered coagulation and vascular inflammation may play a role in pathophysiology of MS. Sonoclot is viscoelastic method of analyzing clot formation. This instrument will be used to compare coagulation in individuals with MS to healthy controls. A 24-hour dietary recall and food frequency questionnaire will help determine whether coagulation is modified by fish consumption.
NCT00749359
This study is to determine if controlled release paroxetine tablets manufactured at two different sites behave similarly in healthy volunteers.
NCT00875784
This study will evaluate the exposure of sumatriptan after administration of TREXIMA (sumatriptan 85mg/naproxen sodium 500mg) followed by a subcutaneous IMITREX injection (4mg or 6mg) 2 hours later compared to administration of a IMITREX 100mg tablet followed by a IMITREX 100mg tablet 2 hours later.
NCT01764997
Primary Objective: To demonstrate the treatment effect of sarilumab and methotrexate (MTX) compared to etanercept and MTX in participants with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and an inadequate response to adalimumab and MTX by evaluation of the Disease Activity Score for 28 joints (DAS28). Secondary Objectives: To assess the signs and symptoms of RA in participants taking sarilumab in combination with MTX. To assess the quality of life of participants with RA taking sarilumab in combination with MTX. To assess the safety and tolerability of sarilumab in combination with MTX in participants with RA.
NCT01272908
This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of MabThera (rituximab) in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who are receiving methotrexate, and who have a previous or current inadequate response to one prior anti-TNF therapy. All patients will receive MabThera 1000 mg as an intravenous infusion on days 1 and 15. After the initial study phase of 24 weeks, eligible patients may receive one re-treatment with MabThera. The anticipated time on study treatment is 48 weeks.
NCT01500083
The purpose of the current study is to evaluate additional safety data of bendamustine in up to 100 patients with Indolent Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (iNHL) relapsing from a rituximab regimen or Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Patients will receive up to 6 or 8 cycles of bendamustine treatment using the dosing regimens of TREANDA® (bendamustine) approved in several countries, which have been shown to be reasonably well tolerated. The study protocol includes safety monitoring (i.e., adverse events, concomitant medications, supportive care, clinical safety laboratory tests, and clinical disease status monitoring). It is an interventional, multicentre, prospective, open-label expanded access study, which in addition allows investigators in Canada, and their patients, access to bendamustine while it is pending Canadian marketing approval. Although the treatment options available for patients with iNHL or CLL do induce substantial responses, there is no curative treatment. One potential drug candidate for the treatment of CLL and iNHL is bendamustine. Bendamustine has been widely used in Germany for more than 30 years and is marketed in the United States for treatment of CLL and for treatment of iNHL that has progressed during or within 6 months of treatment with rituximab or a rituximab-containing regimen. In October 2010, the European Medicines Agency formally approved bendamustine in a number of Member States of the European Union for the treatment of patients with iNHL, CLL, and multiple myeloma. The drug's safety profile in these patient populations has been extensively characterized and no unexpected safety concerns are anticipated.
