NCT00426660
To provide access to maraviroc to patients who have limited or no therapeutic treatment options and to collect more safety data in a broader patient population.
NCT00002622
RATIONALE: Talc may relieve malignant pleural effusion. It is not yet known whether wet talc is more effective than dry talc in treating patients with malignant pleural effusion. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of wet talc with dry talc in treating patients with malignant pleural effusion.
NCT00002768
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of peripheral stem cell transplantation following chemotherapy in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia in second remission.
NCT01036009
There is no curative therapy once acute leukemia patients relapse after transplant. Patients who develop clinically significant graft versus host disease (GVHD) have a lower rate of relapse than those who do not develop GVHD. We are initiating this study of post-transplant fast withdrawal of immunosuppression and donor lymphocyte infusions, with a goal of achieving full donor chimerism in children with hematologic malignancies. If our hypothesis that full donor chimerism results in leukemia-free survival is correct, using immune modulation to achieve full donor chimerism should decrease relapse rate and thus increase survival. The goal of this Phase II study is to identify if achieving full donor chimerism in whole blood CD3+ and leukemia-specific (CD14/15+, CD19+, CD33+ and CD34+) subset may decrease the risk of relapse of patients undergoing allogeneic transplant for hematologic malignancy.
NCT00360555
This trial is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of flibanserin in the treatment of premenopausal women with Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) that meets standard diagnostic criteria. Efficacy for flibanserin will be assessed vs. a parallel placebo group.
NCT00360243
This trial is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of flibanserin in the treatment of premenopausal women with Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) that meet standard diagnostic criteria. Efficacy for flibanserin will be assessed vs. a parallel placebo group.
NCT02649010
The purpose of this study is to support the use of the Enlite 3 sensor in arm and thigh in subjects age 14 - 75 years and provide additional characterization of the Enlite 3 sensor performance in arm in subjects age 14 - 75 years.
NCT02709707
Evaluation of the iGlucose Blood Glucose Monitoring System in the hands of lay users
NCT01326364
The purpose of this study is first, to determine whether baseline perfusion characteristics of pancreatic cancer, as characterized by CT perfusion studies, can predict tumor response to treatment by stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). The second goal of this study is to determine whether baseline perfusion characteristics in those patients with resectable pancreatic cancer correlate with immunohistologic markers of angiogenesis such as microvessel density and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression.
NCT00767936
Adult liver cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. The major risk factor for liver cancer is hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The purpose of the study is to sequence the HBV genome in patients with chronic HBV infection, and in patients with liver cancer resulting from chronic HBV infection. The goal is to identify mutations in the HBV genome that predisposes these high risk individuals to the development of liver cancer.
NCT00951665
This Phase Ib-IIa, multi-institutional, open-label, dose-escalation study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and feasibility of trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) administered by intravenous (IV) infusion in combination with paclitaxel (and pertuzumab, if applicable) in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive (HER2-positive), locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
NCT01108497
We will study gene and protein expression in leukemia cells of children diagnosed with acute leukemia. We hope to identify genes or proteins which can help us grade leukemia at diagnosis in order to: (a) develop better means of diagnosis and (b) more accurately choose the best therapy for each patient.
NCT01216319
Patients with a desire for nipple reconstruction following breast cancer and breast reconstruction will receive a surgical procedure to reconstruct one or both nipples utilizing the COOK Biodesign® Nipple Reconstruction Cylinder.
NCT02079883
This is a multicenter, prospective, observational, Phase 4 study that will assess clinical outcomes and safety of JETREA® administered in a real-world setting for the treatment of symptomatic vitreomacular adhesion (VMA) by assessing anatomical and functional outcomes in 1500 patients recruited across approximately 120 USA retina sites.
NCT00653185
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability of SYR-472, once daily (QD), in subjects with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
NCT01587079
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol Fumarate MDI relative to individual components (GP MDI and FF MDI) in subjects with moderate to severe COPD
NCT01330316
The objective of this trial is to collect evidence for the safety and efficacy of 24 weeks of treatment with BI 201335 240 mg in combination with 24 or 48 weeks of Pegylated Interferon (PegIFN) and ribavirin (RBV) in treatment experienced patients who have been withdrawn from PegIFN and RBV treatment due to lack of efficacy in the 1220.7, 1220.30 and 1220.47 trials.
NCT00009737
This 2 arm study will compare the safety and efficacy of oral Xeloda, or 5-fluorouracil in combination with leucovorin, in patients who have undergone surgery for colon cancer. Patients will be randomized to receive either Xeloda 1250mg/m2 po bid on days 1-14 every 21 days, or leucovorin 20mg/m2 iv + 5-fluorouracil 425mg/m2 iv daily from day 1 to day 5 every 28 days. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
NCT00948961
The main purpose of this study is to examine the safety and tolerability of CDX-1401 when given in combination with an immune stimulant (resiquimod) to patients with advanced cancers that are known to express the NY-ESO-1 protein.
NCT00701415
The purpose of this study was to determine whether 2 alternative dosing regimens of Fabrazyme (Agalsidase beta) (1.0 mg/kg every 4 weeks or 0.5 mg/kg every 2 weeks) were effective in treatment-naïve pediatric participants without severe symptoms. Participants were to be treated for 5 years.
