NCT01313936
This is a pilot study to determine whether doses of 15 mCi/kg and 18 mCi/kg of 131I-MIBG are tolerable when given with irinotecan/vincristine on a one week schedule to children and young adults with high-risk refractory/relapsed neuroblastoma.
NCT02561403
The purpose of this study is to conduct a pilot trial investigating cognitive training in older Veterans with a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI) to assess training effects, acceptability of training to participants, and to explore whether other factors influence training effects.
NCT01994889
This Phase 3 study will investigate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of an oral daily dose of 20 mg or 80 mg tafamidis meglumine capsules compared to placebo in subjects with either transthyretin genetic variants or wild-type transthyretin resulting in amyloid cardiomyopathy.
NCT02577952
Lipodystrophy Connect is an online survey tool designed to collect demographic data and health information from individuals with Lipodystrophy.
NCT03152136
Prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled study designed to evaluate safety and repeatable effectiveness. Subjects will be randomized 2:1:1 to transcutaneous afferent patterned stimulation (TAPS), sham, or 'no intervention', respectively. Subjects randomized to the TAPS and sham arms will be blinded to their randomization assignments for the first two weeks of participation (controlled phase). After the first two weeks, all subjects will be crossed over to TAPS (open-label phase) for 2 weeks. During study participation, all subjects are to remain on a stable dosage of medications prescribed for the treatment of essential tremor, if applicable.
NCT03849612
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether an Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) System is safe to use and functions as intended with personalized basal insulin rates and when basal insulin rates are increased.
NCT01975389
This study evaluates the PCSK9 inhibitor, Bococizumab (PF-04950615;RN316), compared to placebo, in reducing the occurrrence of major cardiovascular events, including cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, stroke, and unstable angina requiring urgent revascularization in high risk subjects who are receiving background lipid lowering therapy and have cholesterol laboratory values of LDL-C \>/= 100 mg/dL (2.6 mmol/L) or non-HDL-C \>/=130 mg/dL (3.4 mmol/L).
NCT02780635
In layperson's language state the purpose of the study in 3-5 sentences. Previous research has demonstrated that intimate partners can positively influence those with PTSD to seek treatment. The investigators have preliminary evidence to demonstrate that mobile apps, such as PTSD Coach can be helpful for those with PTSD, and the current study will provide Veterans with PTSD and their partners with a mobile app designed to promote engagement with evidence-based treatments for PTSD. The purpose of this PILOT study is to evaluate methods for delivering a couples-based intervention to reduce PTSD symptoms and improve relationship quality in Veterans and their intimate partners. b) State what the Investigator(s) hope to learn from the study. Include an assessment of the importance of this new knowledge. Understanding ways to improve the public health impact of public-facing, evidence-based mobile apps is critical. This study will test a low-cost, "high-touch" approach to improving the outcomes associated with use of the PTSD Coach and PTSD Family Coach mobile apps, which are already available to the general public and used by over 55,000 new users per year. This study will test whether the involvement of an intimate partner in the use of a mobile app for PTSD will result in changes in how the mobile apps are used and in relationship quality and PTSD symptoms over time. Additionally, this study will test whether the addition of a discussion board can improve engagement with the apps and/or outcomes. The study will also provide useful qualitative data that can inform the development of subsequent dyadic interventions using mobile technologies. c) Explain why human subjects must be used for this project. (i.e. purpose of study is to test efficacy of investigational device in individuals with specific condition; purpose of study is to examine specific behavioral traits in humans in classroom or other environment) The purpose of this study is to evaluate how Veterans and their partners interact with evidence-based mobile apps for improving PTSD symptoms.
NCT03199742
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a mobile phone app designed to help Veterans with PTSD. Participants in this study will be randomized to receive one of 2 possible mobile phone apps. The term "randomized" means that which app a participant receives will not be based on any characteristic or behavior of the participant, but will be determined solely by chance like a flip of a coin.
NCT02890875
Patients on long-term parenteral nutrition (PN) are at high risk for central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of ethanol lock therapy for CLABSI prophylaxis in adult patients on PN.
NCT01467076
This is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) on the use of Inhaled prostaglandin E1 (IPGE1) in Neonatal Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure (NHRF). Fifty patients recruited at 10 high volume sites within the NICHD Neonatal Research Network will constitute a pilot sample to evaluate the feasibility and safety of prolonged IPGE1 administration and determination of optimal dose. In this Pilot RCT, two doses of IPGE1 (300 and 150 ng/kg/min) will be administered over a maximum duration of 72 hours and compared with placebo. Once feasibility and safety of IPGE1 administered over 72 hours has been demonstrated in the pilot trial, a full scale randomized controlled trial will be planned.
NCT00801762
The goal of the study is to develop a novel approach to obtain real time optical biopsy of urinary tract pathology (e.g., bladder tumors) during urinary tract endoscopy using a novel fibered confocal microscope.
NCT02416076
Up to 40 participants will be enrolled, randomized and treated. Enrolled participants will receive one, split-face Ulthera® treatment on the face and neck using a Ulthera System standard transducer on one side of the face and a Ulthera System prototype simulines transducers on the other side of the face. Follow-up visits will occur at 90 and 180 days post-treatment. Study images will be obtained pre-treatment, immediately post-treatment, and at each follow-up visit.

This is a first-in-human, multicenter, open-label study consisting of 2 phases. Phase 1 is a dose escalation study of RXDX-105 (formerly known as CEP-32496) in patients with advanced solid tumors aimed at defining the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and schedule for administration. Phase 1b is a dose expansion in approximately 90 patients with advanced solid tumors with specific histologies and/or molecular alterations of interest. Patients in Phase 1b will be treated at the RP2D determined in Phase 1.
