NCT00790543
The purpose of this study for children with a new diagnosis of Crohn's disease is to identify biomarkers found in the blood or stool to help predict which children are at risk of developing complications.
NCT03438721
Latino children experience higher rates of obesity compared to non-Hispanic white children, especially in low-income communities. Optimal feeding strategies in early life, avoidance of screen time and longer sleep duration may lower the risk of obesity. Family financial hardship is also associated with short- and long-term health risks, including behavioral and mental health problems, and toxic stress which contributes to elevated risk of common chronic conditions over the life course. This proposal aims to pilot test two interventions to promote optimal health outcomes in Latino infants. Study participants will meet with a health educator after well child visits at 2-weeks, 2-, 4-, 6-, 9- and 12-months. Half of the parents will receive education on obesity prevention. The other half will receive financial education and case management using an established financial coaching approach. Parents will also receive text messages that reinforce educational content. The objective of this study is to determine the acceptability and feasibility of offering these interventions in the well-child setting. Study investigators also seek to determine the preliminary efficacy of these interventions on infant and parent health outcomes including dietary intake, screen time, sleep duration, health related quality of life and financial stress.
NCT00845013
The purpose of this study is to describe the epidemiology of pulmonary hypertension in individuals with HIV infection and to investigate its pathogenesis. We propose to conduct a prospective observational cohort study to determine the association between highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and viral suppression in HIV-infected patients who have been identified to have pre-clinical pulmonary hypertension (Aim 1). In addition, we will investigate the mechanistic role of the HIV-1 Nef protein and HHV-8 infection in the development and progression of pulmonary hypertension in individuals with HIV (Aim 2). We will also investigate endothelial function in HIV-infected patients with pulmonary hypertension (Aim 3).
NCT02291861
The purpose of this study is to determine whether fixed-doses of an investigational drug, SD-809 (deutetrabenazine), will reduce the severity of abnormal involuntary movements of tardive dyskinesia.
NCT04091555
The primary hypothesis of the present study is that supplementation with the Tension Relief test product will reduce the severity of symptoms of a tension headache.
NCT03018249
This randomized surgical window trial evaluates the effect of adding entinostat to medroxyprogesterone acetate before surgery works on progesterone receptors on endometrioid endometrial tumors. Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a progesterone, a hormone produced by body normally. Entinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving medroxyprogesterone acetate with or without entinostat may effect tumors from endometrioid endometrial cancer.
NCT03611582
This study will look at the change in participant's body weight from the start to the end of the study. This is to compare the effect on body weight in people taking semaglutide (a new medicine) and people taking "dummy" medicine. Together with the medicine, the participant will also be part of an intensive lifestyle program where the participant will have talks with study staff about healthy food choices, what the participant can do to lose weight and be more physically active. The participant will either get semaglutide or "dummy" medicine - which treatment the participant gets is decided by chance. The participant will need to take 1 injection once a week. The study medicine is injected with a thin needle in a skin fold in the stomach, thigh or upper arm. For the first 2 months the participant will be on a low calorie diet. The diet is made up of bars, shakes and 1 low calorie pre-prepared meal for each day. The study will last for about 1.5 years. The participant will have 32 clinic visits with the study doctor.
NCT02175771
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety of fluticasone propionate (Fp) inhalation powder in 2 strengths and fluticasone propionate/salmeterol inhalation (FS) powder in 2 strengths when administered with the Teva multidose dry powder inhaler (MDPI) device over 26 weeks in patients with persistent asthma.
NCT03909490
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a patient's level of decisional conflict for their treatment decision regarding their trigger finger, and study if the use of a preference elicitation tool at point of care is able to alter the level of decisional conflict
NCT03092960
The purpose of this study is to test a flexible lifestyle program designed to help Latino men make healthy lifestyle changes to lower their risk of developing diabetes and heart disease. The program is called HOMBRE (Hombres con Opciones para Mejorar el Bienestar y bajar el Riesgo de Enfermedades crónicas; English translation: Men with choices to improve well being and decrease chronic disease risk).
NCT00118209
This randomized phase III trial studies rituximab when given together with two different combination chemotherapy regimens to compare how well they work in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, may block cancer growth in different ways by targeting certain cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving rituximab together with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen is more effective when given with rituximab in treating diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying rituximab when given together with two different combination chemotherapy regimens to compare how well they work in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
NCT02964338
The purpose of the current study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Fremanezumab (TEV-48125), in the prevention of CCH in adult participants.
NCT02945046
This is a 13-week, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to compare the efficacy and safety of 2 dose regimens of TEV-48125 (Fremanezumab) versus placebo in adult participants for the prevention of ECH.
NCT03170388
A Phase 2, Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Vehicle Controlled, Parallel-Group, Clinical Study in the Treatment of Acne Vulgaris
NCT02139644
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of fluticasone propionate multidose dry powder inhaler (Fp MDPI) and fluticasone propionate/salmeterol xinafoate multidose dry powder inhaler (FS MDPI) when administered over 12 weeks in patients 12 years of age and older with persistent asthma. Study drug and placebo was supplied in Teva multidose dry powder inhaler (MDPI) devices and provided for participants to use at home. Participants performed spirometry at every visit. Each participant was given a diary at each visit for use until the next visit. Rescue medication (albuterol/salbutamol) was dispensed at each visit, if needed, as determined by the investigational center personnel.
NCT02040766
This randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, 12-week study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of beclomethasone dipropionate (80 or 160 mcg/day) administered via breath-actuated inhaler (BAI) and metered-dose inhaler (MDI) in pediatric patients 4 through 11 years of age with persistent asthma, compared with placebo. Patients took 1 inhalation (with assistance from parents/guardians/caregivers, as needed) from each of 2 devices (BAI device followed by MDI device in that order) twice daily as per the double-dummy study design: 1 BAI treatment or placebo device and 1 MDI treatment or placebo device for a total of 2 inhalations each time.

This is a global Phase III, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study for subjects with evidence of early AD. The protocol is designed to determine whether ALZT-OP1 combination treatment (ALZT-OP1a + ALZT-OP1b) will slow down, arrests, or reverse cognitive and functional decline, in subjects with evidence of early stage Alzheimer's disease (AD).
NCT04358068
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and azithromycin (Azithro) to prevent hospitalization or death in symptomatic adult outpatients with COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection.
NCT02129075
This phase II trial studies the effect of a vaccine called CDX-1401 given with or without a biologic drug called CDX-301 in treating patients with stage IIB-IV melanoma. The cancer vaccine CDX-1401 attaches to a protein that is made in tumor cells. The vaccine helps the body recognize the tumor to fight the cancer. The biologic drug CDX-301 may help the body make more of the tumor fighting cells, known as dendritic cells. Another biologic drug, poly-ICLC, may stimulate the immune system and help these dendritic cells mature so that they can recognize the tumor. Giving CDX-301 may make the immune response to a combination of CDX-1401 and poly-ICLC better.
NCT02474355
The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of single agent AZD9291 in a real world setting in adult patients with advanced or metastatic, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) T790M mutation-positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), who have received prior EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy.
