NCT04410445
The main purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of bempegaldesleukin plus nivolumab versus nivolumab in patients with completely resected Stage IIIA/B/C/D, or Stage IV cutaneous melanoma who are at high risk for recurrence.
NCT02272946
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of IL-1β inhibition on safety, measures of systemic and vascular inflammation and endothelial function (all indicators of cardiovascular risk) in treated and suppressed HIV infected individuals This study will assess the safety and effects of canakinumab on endothelial function (assessed by flow-mediated vasodilation \[FMD\] of the brachial artery), vascular inflammation (assessed by FDG-PET/CT scanning), key inflammatory markers of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein \[hsCRP\]), interleukin-6 (IL-6), soluble CD163 (sCD163), D-dimer, T-cell and monocyte activation in the blood, and size of the HIV reservoir. 10 individuals will receive a single dose of 150mg canakinumab with follow-up for 12 weeks. In the second part of the study, 100 participants will be randomized (2:1 - canakinumab to placebo) and will be followed by for 36 weeks.
NCT03550066
This study examines whether a health message that includes a self-affirmation intervention (where people reflect on values that are important to them) increases acceptance of the message and encourages people to take steps to prevent diabetes, as compared to a health message without the self affirmation intervention.
NCT00881361
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving chemotherapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying surgery to remove the sentinel lymph node and axillary lymph nodes after chemotherapy in treating women with stage II, stage IIIA, or stage IIIB breast cancer.
NCT03912233
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of VX-121 combination therapy in subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF).
NCT03191864
Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is an inflammatory disease of the esophagus, characterized by eosinophilic infiltration and gastrointestinal symptoms. Swallowed, topically acting corticosteroids, such as fluticasone, appear to be effective in resolving acute clinical and pathological features of EoE. APT-1011 is an orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) formulation of fluticasone propionate. This study is designed to compare the efficacy and safety of APT-1011 with placebo in adults with EoE for an initial 12-week treatment period, followed by an additional 40-week maintenance treatment phase. Histologic response, pharmacokinetics, and dysphagia will be assessed.
NCT05588583
The goal of this clinical trial is to follow the progress of wounds in those with venous leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers while using an absorbent dressing called Mepilex Up. The main objective is to follow the progress of these wounds over time from initial visit to each follow-up visit. Participants will be asked to wear Mepilex Up dressing for up to 6 weeks of treatment or until healed, changed at every one-week interval.
NCT05822232
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the benefits of using aa Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system in patients with diabetes following discharge from the hospital. The main question it aims to answer is: • If the use of CGM with alarms is safe and effective for managing low and/or high blood sugars when compared with performing finger sticks several times per day Participants will wear one or two FreeStyle Libre CGM sensors for 12-14 days three times over a 12-week (3 month) period. This means that they will have the one to two sensors inserted under their skin. They will be asked to come to the study site four times and complete two phone calls with research staff over the 12-week period. Researchers will compare the LibreView CGM group to the Standard of Care group to see if the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) reduces risk of low blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) after hospital discharge when compared with the current standard method.
NCT00071084
The purpose of this trial is to determine the effect of HuMax-CD4, as a treatment for advanced stage (late stage) cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Almost all participants who are affected by late stage CTCL have many cancerous cells which bear a receptor called CD4. HuMax-CD4 is an investigational drug directed against this receptor. There is no placebo in this trial; all participants will be treated with HuMax-CD4. The response rates, duration of responses, relief of symptoms, and safety profile of HuMax-CD4 will be evaluated during this trial.
NCT03889561
Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are a major caloric source and the largest source of added sugars in the American diet. While many cities around the country have adopted anti-SSB policies such as soda taxes to reduce SSB intake, there has yet to be any studies to evaluate if the effects of these taxes, coupled with increased water access and promotion effort can lead to decreased sugar sweetened beverage consumption and increased water consumption. This quasi-experimental study evaluates how implementation of SSB taxes, installation of new water stations, and a multicultural water promotion campaign in parks impacts beverage intake in these settings as compared to soda taxes alone.
NCT04043104
Open-label, non-randomized, dose escalation trial of AAV2hAQP1 administered via Stensen's duct to a single or both parotid glands in subjects with radiation-induced xerostomia The objectives are to evaluate the safety and identify either a maximum tolerated dose or a maximum feasible dose of a single dose of AAV2hAQP1 infused into one or both parotid glands: To evaluate subject improvement of xerostomia symptoms, to evaluate the increase in parotid gland salivary output after treatment with AAV2hAQP1, to evaluate additional efficacy outcomes.
NCT04970212
Clinical study planned to demonstrate that the BioTraceIO Lite, available post-procedure, is effective at estimating the area of tissue damage as measured on 24-hour post-procedure (T=24hrs) CECT scan and that it is safe, based on an assessment of device-related Adverse Events. Multi-center (up to 6 investigational sites) prospective single-arm clinical investigation 50 evaluable subjects total stratified by cancer type (primary hepatocellular carcinoma vs. secondary liver metastases).
NCT02094716

NCT04987892
This prospective, multicenter, two-arm, 1:1 randomized controlled trial (RCT) will enroll approximately 250 males at approximately 25 sites located within the United States. All enrolled subjects will be 45 years of age or older diagnosed with symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). They will be randomized to one of two readily available, marketed BPH therapies; Prostatic Urethral Lift procedure with the UroLift System (PUL Arm) or 0.4mg tamsulosin HCl (MED Arm).

NCT05131139
A Prospective, Multicenter Evaluation of Accuracy and Safety of the Eversense CGM System with Enhanced Features. The purpose of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the accuracy of the Eversense 524 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (Eversense 524 CGM System) and ROME CGM System with next generation feature enhancements compared to reference glucose measurements in adults 18 years of age and older with diabetes. The investigation will also evaluate safety of the Eversense 524 CGM System and ROME CGM System usage. Additionally, the safety and accuracy of the Eversense 524 CGM System will be evaluated in the pediatric population ages 14-17 with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
