NCT03898323
The overall goal of the proposed project is to improve the treatment of individuals with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). We will conduct a pilot feasibility trial of Approach Bias Modification (AABM) training of heavy-drinking non-treatment seeking individuals with AUD. We will measure feasibility with respect to recruitment, retention and tolerability of AABM training and the Alcohol Drinking Paradigm (ADP). We will also assess changes in alcohol craving and alcohol consumption during ADP sessions conducted before and after 2 weeks of AABM training.
NCT06464575
Participants will be recruited to complete self reported surveys normally used as standards of care for screening and monitoring depression and anxiety symptom severity, provide a voice sample composed of an answer to open ended questions and then be assessed by a mental health professional using structured and clinically validated assessment tools for depression and anxiety. Their voice will be analyzed by machine learning models that predict the severity of depression and anxiety symptoms. The models' performance will be compared to the clinician assessments and how that correlation compares to a similar comparison between the clinician assessments with the self reported surveys. It is hypothesized that the performance of the machine learning models in assessing the severity of depression and anxiety symptoms is no worse than the self reported surveys when both are compared to clinician assessments. It is also hypothesized that presence or absence of the diagnoses of Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder can be predicted better than chance by the analysis of the participant's voice sample using machine learning models.
NCT01571596
The primary purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of repeated subcutaneous (SC) injections of KRN23 in adult subjects with X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH).
NCT04156620
The purpose of this global study was to demonstrate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of an intravenous (i.v.) regimen of secukinumab compared to placebo in participants with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS) or non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA ) at Week 16 despite current or previous non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAID), disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARD) and/or anti Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) therapy. In addition, to further support efficacy and safety of an i.v. regimen, data was collected for up to 52 weeks of treatment.
NCT01076218
The purpose of the study is to confirm that the accuracy and safety of Version 1.5 of the FreeStyle Navigator Continuous Glucose Monitoring System are not impacted by the updates to the system algorithm and minor changes to the user interface and sensor delivery unit, such as adhesive sterilization method. It is anticipated that information collected will be submitted as a supplement to Premarket Approval Application (P050020) to the US Food and Drug Administration for approval to market this version of the system.
NCT04008836
T-PLUS (Thunder PLUS) is the code name of a blood glucose monitoring system (BGMS) consisting of a new meter and CONTOUR PLUS test strips. The meter can wirelessly transmit BG results using Bluetooth® Low Energy technology to the meter mobile application that will be available on specified versions of the iOS and Android mobile platforms. This clinical trial will assess the performance (accuracy) of the T-PLUS meters by lay users enrolled as subjects in the study, and by health care professionals (also called study staff).
NCT05352139
Treatment of recalcitrant tendinopathy remains a clinical challenge for physicians without a minimally invasive treatment option that can consistently provide patients with a long-term relief from chronic pain and ability to return to function. Surgical debridement of degenerative tendon tissue has long been the standard of care to treat degenerative tendon pathology once all conservative or minimally invasive treatment options have failed. Ultrasound guided tenotomy is an emerging treatment option with the potential to address the underlying degenerative, diseased tissue, by selectively resecting and removing the tissue in a minimally invasive manner. Additionally, with the availability of in-office diagnostic ultrasound imaging, physicians now have an opportunity to evaluate and classify underlying tendon pathology during a clinical exam. This study is to evaluate outcomes in patients presenting with a clinical history of recalcitrant tendinopathy with confirmed diagnosis of degenerative tendinosis using diagnostic ultrasound imaging or MRI.
NCT02675244
The purpose of the research is to determine whether repairing a tricuspid valve (TV) in patients with mild to moderate tricuspid regurgitation (TR), at the time of planned mitral valve surgery (MVS), would improve the heart health of those who receive it compared to those who do not. At this point, the medical community is split in their opinion on whether surgeons should routinely repair mild to moderate TR in patients who are undergoing planned mitral valve surgery, and this study will answer this question.
NCT04410523
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of multiple CSJ117 doses (0.5; 1; 2; 4 and 8 mg) inhaled once daily compared with placebo, when added to standard-of-care (SoC) asthma therapy in adult patients with uncontrolled asthma with respect to change from baseline in FEV1 at the end of 12 weeks of treatment.
