NCT01543997
The purpose of this study is to investigate clinical benefits of a novel sleep-focused mind-body program on Gulf War Illness (GWI) symptoms.
NCT01669590
The goal of the research project is to determine how aging and inactivity reduce the muscle anabolic effect of nutrients and lead to muscle and functional loss. The central hypothesis is that aging reduces mTORC1 signaling and the expression of skeletal muscle amino acid transporters in response to anabolic stimulation leading to reduced muscle adaptation to increased intracellular amino acid requirements. The investigators further hypothesize that inactivity exacerbates this effect with significant muscle and functional loss, and rehabilitation restores muscle signaling, metabolism and function to baseline values.
NCT00196326
This is an open-label, single treatment study. All subjects will receive one year of oral contraceptive therapy with DR-1011. Study participants will receive physical and gynecological exams, including Pap smear. During the study, all participants will be required to complete a diary.
NCT02001246
The general aim of the proposed pilot study is to evaluate the the efficacy of mind-body bridging (MBB) for anger management compared with the Real Deal anger management program, in helping adolescents control or reduce their anger.
NCT01421667
This is an open-label, multicenter, phase 2 clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of brentuximab vedotin as a single agent in patients with CD30-positive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) (Part A). The study will also evaluate the safety and efficacy of brentuximab vedotin in combination with rituximab in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (Part B) as well as further evaluate correlation of CD30 expression and response in DLBCL (Part C).
NCT00806754
* The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the concomitant administration of ciclesonide nasal spray and azelastine nasal spray versus ciclesonide nasal spray alone in patients (18 years or older) with perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) not adequately controlled on an intranasal corticosteroid or antihistamine monotherapy * The secondary objective is to investigate the safety of the concomitant administration of ciclesonide nasal spray and azelastine nasal spray
NCT02117414
The purpose of the Evera MRI™ study is to confirm safety and efficacy of the Evera MRI ICD (Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) System in the clinical MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) environment when subjects receive MRI scans without positioning restrictions (MRI scans may occur anywhere on the body).
NCT01537133
There are new, very sensitive methods for detecting bacteria. These methods show that hundreds of millions of microbes (organisms that can only be seen with microscopes), especially bacteria, live in healthy people. The collection of different microbes found in a site is called a "microbiome." The investigators know that microbiomes of the skin, sinuses, mouth, gastro-intestinal tract, etc. differ from each other. The make-up of the microbiome - which bacteria are found in a site - may be necessary for good health. For example, the microbiome of the mouth is different in people with inflammation of the gums (periodontitis), and the microbiome of the bowel is different in people with inflammation of the intestinal tract (inflammatory bowel disease). The purpose of this research study is to find out if the microbiome in the lungs is different in healthy people without asthma compared to people with asthma. This study will also find out if the microbiome of the lungs changes when people with asthma take a daily "controller" medication called an inhaled corticosteroid.
NCT00517829
The purpose of this research study is to find out what effects (good and bad) docetaxel, oxaliplatin, and cetuximab have on gastric or GEJ cancer.
NCT00776919
This is a Randomized, Double-Blind, Controlled Study to evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of a clindamycin / benzoyl peroxide gel in Subjects with Acne Vulgaris
NCT01810679
To demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the Perceval S heart valve when used to replace a diseased or dysfunctional aortic valve or aortic valve prosthesis.
NCT01567150
This study is being conducted to characterize the way leg wounds respond to a new type of wound dressing, compared to wounds in patients who are not using the new dressing. The investigators will collect wound fluid for biochemical analysis, and they will measure the wound healing that occurs with and without the new dressing.
NCT01896297
The goal of this study is to assess dabigatran pharmacokinetics in NVAF subjects with severe renal impairment defined as creatinine clearance between 15 and 30 mL/min calculated by Cockcroft-Gault formula. The dabigatran etexilate dose of 75 mg BID was approved by the FDA for NVAF patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl 15-30 mL/min) , based on pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation.
NCT01561924
This trial is conducted in Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to evaluate the basal and spiked TEG® (Thromboelastography) or ROTEM® (Thromboelastometry) profiles of frequently bleeding haemophilia subjects with inhibitors in a non-bleeding state.
NCT00264329
To address the issues involved in treatment participation by substance-abusing parolees, the CJ-DATS Transitional Case Management (TCM) study proposes to test a parole re-entry model that consists of (1) completion by the inmate of a strengths and goals assessment as part of discharge planning, (2) a telephone case conference call that includes the inmate and significant members of the inmate's aftercare plan (including the parole officer), and (3) strengths case management (for 12 weeks) in the community to promote treatment participation and support the client's access to needed services.
NCT01043523
Medical records are reviewed to obtain information about the use of a MRI diagnostic imaging agent (contrast agent) called Primovist/Eovist in children older than 2 months and less than 18 years. Data that has been recorded in the child's medical records relating to the injection of Primovist/Eovist will be collected. Information will be collected from up to 2 weeks before the child received Primovist/Eovist until 12 months after the child received Primovist/Eovist. Copy of the child's MR images that were taken right before and after the child received Primovist/Eovist and all other reports (laboratory reports, other imaging reports, etc) that are part of the child's medical records during that time period will be collected.
