NCT00874393
This trial tests the feasibility of enrolling 60 extremely preterm infants in a randomized, double-blinded study of blood pressure management within 12 months. Eligible infants will receive an infusion drug (dopamine or a dextrose placebo) and a syringe drug (hydrocortisone or a normal saline placebo). Enrolled infants will be randomized to receive one of the following drug pairs: * dopamine and hydrocortisone * dopamine and normal saline * dextrose and hydrocortisone * dextrose and normal saline. In addition to the intervention above, the NRN is conducting a 6-month time-limited prospective observational study of all infants born at an NRN center between 23 and 26 weeks gestational age. All clinical decisions made for these babies will be at the discretion of the attending neonatologist/infant care team according to standard practice at each institution. Data on blood pressure management in the first 24 postnatal hours collected for each infant.
NCT01843738
Patients are being asked to take part because they have melanoma that has spread to other organs in their body (metastatic). As part of this study, patients will receive radiation therapy and an approved drug (Vemurafenib).
NCT01465165
Several lines of evidence support the existence of an underlying abnormality in brain energy metabolism may play a key role in the biology of mood disorders. The current study utilizes two distinct but complementary imaging techniques, fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) and multinuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), to better understand the nature of these metabolic abnormalities in major depressive disorder (MDD). The investigators hypothesize that individuals with depression will have increased metabolic activity as measured by PET in certain brain regions involved in mood regulation, but that this metabolic activity will be inefficient based on MRS findings. For this study, the investigators will study 10 medication-free, currently depressed participants with recurrent MDD, 10 depressed participants with recurrent MDD currently taking antidepressant medication, and up to 20 healthy control participants matched to depressed participants for age and gender. Depressed and healthy participants will each undergo one PET scan and one MRS scanning session.
NCT00996307
This study will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of different combinations of A/H1N1 2009 (swine flu) vaccine in healthy young children
NCT02298192
This trial is conducted in Europe, North America and the United States of America. The aim of this trial is to compare two different titration algorithms of insulin degludec/liraglutide.
NCT02253173
This study will assess the safety and efficacy of a new formulation of vaginal estradiol for the treatment of symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women.
NCT00082394
The aim of this study was to assess whether TRIZIVIR, administered twice-daily was as safe, tolerable and efficacious as a combination of the drugs COMBIVIR administered twice-daily and atazanavir administered once daily. Over the course of 48 weeks, various parameters that measure safety, tolerability and efficacy of the investigational drugs were measured and compared.
NCT00316160
Effects of two depression medication on sexual functioning
NCT00104429
This study is a 96-week study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of GW873140 in combination with Combivir in HIV infected, untreated subjects.
NCT00064467
This is a study of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in patients with decreased energy, pleasure and interests.
NCT00925600
This is a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate new or worsening lens opacifications in men with non-metastatic prostate cancer receiving denosumab for bone loss due to androgen deprivation therapy.
NCT02476942
This non-interventional study will prospectively collect detailed, high-quality documentation of bleeds, HRQoL, and safety in patients with hemophilia A with or without FVIII inhibitors treated according to local routine clinical practice (receiving FVIII replacement or bypassing agents as either episodic or prophylactic treatment). Actual patients will be enrolled from routine clinical practice in this observational study.
NCT01677754
This Phase II, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of RO4602522 in participants with moderate severity Alzheimer's disease. Participants who are taking background therapy of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AChEI) alone or in combination with memantine for at least 4 months before screening will be randomized to receive either one of two doses of RO4602522 or placebo for 12 months.
NCT01987492
This randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study will evaluate the efficacy of lebrikizumab compared with placebo, as measured by the ability of participants to achieve lower daily doses of OCS, among those with severe corticosteroid-dependent asthma. Prednisone/prednisolone will be the OCS therapy prescribed. Participants will be randomized to receive lebrikizumab or matching placebo for 44 weeks in a double-blind, placebo-controlled (DBPC) period. Those who complete the 44-week period may continue into a 32-week active treatment extension (ATE) period, during which all participants will receive lebrikizumab treatment. Following completion of the ATE period, participants who have both tolerated and derived benefit from treatment with lebrikizumab may continue their lebrikizumab treatment into a long-term extension (LTE) period. Participants will transition to 24 weeks of safety follow-up upon discontinuation of study drug.
NCT00891982
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tolerability of a combined regimen of a topical antibiotic and retinoid and a benzoyl peroxide wash.
NCT01980589
The primary objective was to determine the maximum tolerated dose of carfilzomib given twice weekly in combination with cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.
NCT00603447
To evaluate the safety and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of carfilzomib in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone in patients with relapsed multiple myeloma
NCT01436240
The purpose of this study is to see if questions in English about symptoms that patients may have during cancer treatment are understandable when translated into Spanish. These questions will later be used in future studies to give a better understanding of patient symptoms".
NCT01446237
This study is being conducted to obtain safety, efficacy, and satisfaction data on the combination of topical Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO) 2.5% and the topical keratolytic agent Salicylic Acid (SA) 0.5% in the treatment of moderate to severe acne. Subjects with moderate or severe acne will be asked to apply the commercially available, over-the-counter products Foam Deep Cleanser (2.5% BPO), Foam Advanced Acne Treatment (2.5% BPO), and Foam Rejuvenating Toner (0.5% SA) daily for 12 weeks. No control group or reference treatment will be included.
