NCT03777904
A serum ferritin level can reflect the total body iron content, thus a very low serum ferritin is commonly used as an indicator of iron deficiency and a very high serum ferritin is commonly used as a marker of iron overload. Ferritin is a shell of protein in which iron is stored. Ferritin is an acute phase reactant, and serum ferritin levels can increase during inflammatory conditions. Consequently, an elevated ferritin level might mean there is an excess of storage iron, or might simply mean that inflammation has resulted in high levels of the ferritin shell, containing little iron. The research team is able to quantify the amount of iron in ferritin using inductively conducted plasma mass spectrometry, in the Heme and Iron Core Laboratory at the University of Utah. Thus, it can be determined whether in a child with a very high serum ferritin level, that ferritin is loaded with iron or is actually very low in iron. Neonates and young children with certain liver disorders characteristically have a very high serum ferritin level. These conditions are gestational alloimmune liver disease (GALD) and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). It is not clear what the iron content of the ferritin is in these neonates. Knowing this will be a step toward understanding whether the pathogenesis of these conditions involves iron overload. Additionally, if urine ferritin and iron levels correlate with serum ferritin and iron levels, urine may be used as a non-invasive way to monitor iron status. In this study, serum and urine samples will be collected from children with high serum ferritin levels and confirmed iron toxicity. Both ferritin and iron content within ferritin will be measured in the serum and urine samples and compared for correlation.

Secondary objective: -To compare the serum bactericidal assay using human complement (hSBA) antibody geometric mean titers of meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of MenACYW conjugate vaccine to those observed following the administration of Menomune® - A/C/Y/W-135. Observational objectives: * To describe antibody titers against meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W measured by hSBA at baseline (before vaccination) and 30 days after vaccination with MenACYW conjugate vaccine or Menomune® - A/C/Y/W-135 in a subset of 100 participants per treatment group. * To describe the safety profile of MenACYW conjugate vaccine compared to that of the licensed Menomune® - A/C/Y/W-135 after a single administration.

NCT03478930
The overall purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and durability of response of omalizumab in an open-label setting in adult participants with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps who completed the double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase III studies GA39688 (NCT03280550) or GA39855 (NCT03280537). Participants will be eligible for enrollment in the study at, or within 28 days after, the Week 24 visit of Studies GA39688/GA39855. After enrollment into this open-label extension (OLE) study, participants will receive 28 weeks of dosing of omalizumab before entering a 24-week off-treatment observation phase of the study. Baseline in this OLE study is defined as the last pre-treatment measurement prior to randomization in Studies GA39688/GA39855 (i.e., baseline of Studies GA39688/GA39855). The data that will be reported from baseline to Week 24 inclusive will come from Studies GA39688/GA39855.
NCT01793805
This is a study to collect and analyze tissue specimens from metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients for the development of a molecularly profiled tissue repository for the primary purpose of maintaining a patient registry for future clinical trials based on the molecular profile of the tumors. The main purpose of testing these tissue specimens is to identify genetic alterations or biomarkers associated with colorectal cancer such that if new agent(s) become available, particularly those that target these genetic alterations/biomarkers, participants may be offered the opportunity to take part in a National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) treatment protocol.
NCT01072682
The purpose of this protocol is to evaluate the safety of a selective cytopheretic device (SCD) in patients that are on continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) for acute renal failure (ARF).
NCT00628095
CE-224,535 is known to block a chemical that acts as a gateway to some of your immune cells. Blocking this gateway prevents the cells from pushing out 2 chemicals called IL-1 and IL-18 that are known to cause some of the inflammation seen in rheumatoid arthritis. It is hoped that taking this drug will reduce the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis
