NCT01075100
Ixabepilone adds significantly to the antitumor effectiveness of capecitabine in both ER+ and triple negative breast cancer. Ixabepilone has substantial antitumor activity in taxane-refractory patients and novel combinations are needed in this poor prognosis population. Carboplatin in combination with gemcitabine or paclitaxel has activity in metastatic breast cancer (MBC); there is also demonstrated activity of the gemcitabine/carboplatin combination in the ER+ versus triple negative subsets. A Phase I study of ixabepilone plus carboplatin in solid tumor patients demonstrated the safety of this combination at the doses and schedule proposed for this Phase II trial (BMS data on file).
NCT00573183
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a combined group and individual 12-Step facilitative (TSF) intervention, Stimulant Abuser Groups to Engage in 12 -Step (STAGE-12), improves substance -related outcomes.
NCT00097799
This study was designed to provide early access to and evaluate the safety of TPV/r in PI-experienced patients with HIV-1 infection.
NCT02473510
This prospective annual release study is designed to evaluate the safety of 3 new influenza virus vaccine strains to be included in FluMist Quadrivalent for the 2015-2016 influenza season
NCT00517829
The purpose of this research study is to find out what effects (good and bad) docetaxel, oxaliplatin, and cetuximab have on gastric or GEJ cancer.
NCT01421667
This is an open-label, multicenter, phase 2 clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of brentuximab vedotin as a single agent in patients with CD30-positive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) (Part A). The study will also evaluate the safety and efficacy of brentuximab vedotin in combination with rituximab in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (Part B) as well as further evaluate correlation of CD30 expression and response in DLBCL (Part C).
NCT02971865
Effects of manual medicine or cognitive behavioral therapy with chronic uncontrolled diabetes within a shared primary care visit. An evaluation of the effectiveness of manual therapy vs cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) vs traditional primary care visit care is in need.
NCT01369329
This study (UNITI-1) will compare the effects (both positive and negative) of an initial treatment with ustekinumab to placebo over 8 weeks, in patients with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease who have either failed or could not tolerate at least one TNF-antagonist medications in the past (specifically, infliximab, adalimumab, or certolizumab pegol).
NCT00113165
This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of LAMICTAL (lamotrigine) extended-release with placebo in the treatment of partial seizures. LAMICTAL extended-release is an investigational drug. Placebo tablets look like LAMICTAL extended-release tablets but do not contain active medication. In this study, LAMICTAL extended-release or placebo tablets will be added to current seizure treatments.
NCT00776919
This is a Randomized, Double-Blind, Controlled Study to evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of a clindamycin / benzoyl peroxide gel in Subjects with Acne Vulgaris
NCT02200419
This multi-centre study will provide sound, generalizable data on the effectiveness of a POC-based algorithm to determine to what extent this guideline can reduce blood product transfusions. Investigators will study outcomes in 7000 patients undergoing heart surgery at 10 participating hospitals. The proposed trial addresses several important research and clinical issues and has the potential to markedly improve the transfusion management and surgical care in general of cardiac surgery patients. The intervention will be a novel POC-based algorithm that has been shown in a pilot study by us to be associated with a substantial reduction in blood product transfusions. The algorithm will employ viscoelastic and aggregometric POC-tests and an objective measure of blood loss. The primary outcome will be avoidance of red blood cell transfusion during hospitalization. The study has a 90% power to detect a 12% increase in avoidance rate. Secondary outcomes will include avoidance of red blood cell use and other blood products (plasma, platelets, and cryoprecipitate), units of blood products transfused, and adverse clinical outcomes related to transfusion (acute kidney injury, infections, and death). Data will also be collected for future health-economics analyses. Largely due to the limitations of existing evidence, however, such algorithms are rarely used in clinical practice. The proposed trial will provide sound, generalizable data on the effectiveness of a POC-based algorithm to guide their future use. An integrated blood management algorithm that employs POC coagulation tests will reduce blood product transfusions in cardiac surgery, thereby improving clinical outcomes. Does an integrated blood transfusion algorithm that employs POC coagulation tests applied across a network of hospitals reduce blood transfusions and associated adverse outcomes in cardiac surgery?
NCT00163436
The aim of the present study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of ciclesonide on lung function and safety. Ciclesonide will be inhaled at one dose level once daily, using an inhaler device with or without spacer. The study duration consists of a baseline period (1 to 3 weeks) and a treatment period (12 weeks).
NCT00933205
The purpose of this Open Label Safety Study is to provide access to and evaluate the safety and tolerability of TPV/r in treatment-experienced patients with advanced HIV-1 infection who have failed at least two PI-containing regimens, and have limited treatment options.
NCT00163358
The aim of the study is to compare the efficacy of ciclesonide versus fixed combination of fluticasone propionate/salmeterol versus placebo, on long-term asthma control in patients with mild persistent asthma. The study duration consists of a baseline period (2 weeks) and a treatment period (12 months). The study will provide further data on safety and tolerability of ciclesonide.
NCT02120300
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the antiviral efficacy, safety, and tolerability of treatment with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir (LDV/SOF) fixed-dose combination (FDC) in participants with genotypes 1 and 4 hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and sofosbuvir (SOF) plus ribavirin (RBV) in participants with genotypes 2 and 3 HCV infection. Participants with an inherited bleeding disorder and chronic HCV infection (either monoinfected or HIV-1/HCV coinfected) will be enrolled.
NCT01561924
This trial is conducted in Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to evaluate the basal and spiked TEG® (Thromboelastography) or ROTEM® (Thromboelastometry) profiles of frequently bleeding haemophilia subjects with inhibitors in a non-bleeding state.
NCT00041054
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Exisulind may make tumor cells more sensitive to chemotherapy. Combining chemotherapy with exisulind may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining chemotherapy with exisulind in treating patients who have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.

The purpose of the Evera MRI™ study is to confirm safety and efficacy of the Evera MRI ICD (Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) System in the clinical MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) environment when subjects receive MRI scans without positioning restrictions (MRI scans may occur anywhere on the body).
NCT02577484
This study will assess the differences between Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) measurements made by the Navvus catheter and a commercially available pressure guidewire in up to 240 subjects where FFR is clinically indicated. All subjects will receive diagnostic treatment according to clinical indications and center standard practice.
