NCT04428645
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a complex disease with a high risk of both hyper- and hypoglycemia which can lead to severe acute and chronic complications. The burden and complexity of managing T1D results in the majority of people not reaching adequate glycemic control. Our team has developed a smartphone based application, DailyDose, that combines continuous glucose monitoring data and insulin data to provide decision support for subjects with type 1 diabetes taking multiple daily injections (MDI). DailyDose provides on-demand, real-time dosing recommendations for insulin doses prior to meals and to correct hyperglycemia. DailyDose analyzes glucose patterns and provides weekly recommendations to the patient on insulin settings including carbohydrate ratios and correction factors. As needed, DailyDose will make weekly recommendations to change basal insulin. For subject safety, study investigators will set constraints on settings for short and long acting insulin during the onboarding process. DailyDose will not be able to recommend insulin dose changes above or below the set safety thresholds. DailyDose also provides recommendations on carbohydrate intake for exercise and includes hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia alarms.
NCT03137381
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of CTP-543 on hair loss in adults with chronic, moderate to severe alopecia areata.
NCT02425891
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind study evaluated the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) administered with nab-paclitaxel compared with placebo in combination with nab-paclitaxel in participants with locally advanced or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) who have not received prior systemic therapy for metastatic breast cancer (mBC). The safety of single-agent nab-paclitaxel has been determined in previous studies of participants with mBC and the safety data to date suggest that atezolizumab can be safely combined with standard chemotherapy agents.
NCT00614432
The primary objective of this study is to compare blood loss resulting from surgical termination of pregnancy up to 12 weeks gestation between women who are anticoagulated to therapeutic levels and those who are not anticoagulated. This study is based on the hypothesis that anticoagulant therapy does not increase intraoperative blood loss in women receiving surgical abortions up to 12 weeks gestation.
NCT01744223
This study will evaluate patients with blood cell cancers who are going to have an allogeneic (donor) blood stem cell transplant from a partially matched relative. The research study will test whether immune cells, called T cells, which come from the donor relative and are specially grown in the laboratory and then given back to the patient along with the stem cell transplant (T cell addback), can help the immune system recover faster after the transplant. As a safety measure, these T cells have been "programmed" with a "self-destruct switch" so that if, after they have been given to the patient, the T cells start to react against the tissues (called "graft versus host" disease, GVHD), the T cells can be destroyed.
NCT03301168
This study will evaluate pediatric patients with malignant or non-malignant blood cell disorders who are having a blood stem cell transplant depleted of T cell receptor (TCR) alfa and beta cells that comes from a partially matched family donor. The study will assess whether immune cells, called T cells, from the family donor, that are specially grown in the laboratory and given back to the patient along with the stem cell transplant can help the immune system recover faster after transplant. As a safety measure these T cells have been programmed with a self-destruct switch so that they can be destroyed if they start to react against tissues (graft versus host disease).
NCT01306331
This is a research study of a new experimental vaginal gel that helps in vaginal pH regulation and results in immobilization of spermatozoa by maintaining the normally low vaginal pH, even in the presence of semen. This vaginal gel is called Phexxi™ (previously known as Amphora) and was compared to a commercially available spermicide called Conceptrol®, which contains nonoxynol 9; commonly abbreviated as N-9. Conceptrol® can help prevent pregnancy. This study objective was to determine if this product prevents pregnancy when inserted into the vagina before intercourse.
NCT02340221
This international, multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study is designed to compare the efficacy and safety of taselisib + fulvestrant with that of placebo + fulvestrant in postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-negative, oncogene that encodes for phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase (PIK3CA)-mutant, unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer after recurrence or progression during or after an aromatase inhibitor (AI) therapy. There will be a 2:1 randomization to the taselisib arm versus the placebo arm. Enrollment will be enriched for participants with PIK3CA mutant tumors via central testing. The anticipated duration of the study is approximately 3.5 years.
NCT04320745
This study will evaluate the effect of a once daily Androderm® dose on Blood Pressure (BP) in adult hypogonadal men as measured by 24-hour ABPM.
NCT02167945
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of treatment with ABT-450 co-formulated with ritonavir and ABT-267 (ABT-450/r/ABT-267) and ABT-333; 3-DAA regimen, with or without ribavirin (RBV) in adults with chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1 (HCV GT1) infection.
NCT00779324
The purpose of this study is to study the effect of amantadine on irritability and aggression caused by traumatic brain injury.
NCT04016779
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of SPN-812 (Viloxazine extended-release capsules; 200-600 mg) in adults 18-65 years of age with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
NCT04832425
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial to assess the efficacy and safety of PRAX-114 in participants with moderate to severe major depressive disorder (MDD). Participants will be randomized to receive 28 days of either 40 mg PRAX-114 or placebo in a 1:1 ratio.
NCT04157751
This is a study in adults who are in hospital for acute heart failure. The purpose of this study is to find out whether starting to take a medicine called empagliflozin soon after first being treated in hospital helps people with acute heart failure. Participants are in the study for about 3 months. At the beginning, participants are still in hospital. Later, they visit the hospital about 3 times and get 1 phone call. Participants are put into 2 groups by chance. One group takes 1 empagliflozin tablet a day. The other group takes 1 placebo tablet a day. Placebo tablets look like empagliflozin tablets but do not contain any medicine. Empagliflozin belongs to a class of medicines known as SGLT-2 inhibitors. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes. During the study, the doctors check whether participants have additional heart failure events like needing to go to the hospital again because of heart failure. The participants answer questions about how their heart failure affects their life. We then compare the results between the empagliflozin and placebo groups. The doctors also regularly check the general health of the participants.
NCT03790709
