NCT01859988
To assess the efficacy of multiple dupilumab dose-regimens, compared to placebo, in adult participants with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD).
NCT01681004
The purpose of this study is to compare outcomes when patients with degenerative sacroiliitis (arthritis of the SI joint) and or sacroiliac disruption (abnormal separation or tearing of the sacroiliac joint)undergo either SI joint fusion with the iFuse Implant System or undergo specific, targeted non-surgical treatment of the SI joint.
NCT00628134
Inhaled medications are often used to treat lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis. We are performing this study to determine whether inhaled medications dissolved in surfactant-based solutions will distribute more evenly throughout the lungs when compared to standard saline-based solutions. We think that inhaling medication that is in a surfactant-based liquid will result in more medication reaching partially blocked parts of the lung. This study will use a special nuclear medicine test called an aerosol deposition scan to compare how a drug spreads in the lung using a surfactant-based aerosol compared to a saline-based aerosol.
NCT03138304
The objective of this study is to measure the duration of two different types of interventions to change physician decision making in trauma triage: a video game and an educational program.
NCT00067080
The purpose of this study is to determine if the new orally active iron chelator, ICL670, is as safe as deferoxamine in preventing accumulation of iron in the body while a patient is undergoing repeated blood transfusions.
NCT00828139
This randomized phase II trial is studying topotecan to see how well it works when given with or without aflibercept in treating patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as topotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Combinations of biological substances in aflibercept may be able to carry tumor-killing substances directly to small cell lung cancer cells. Aflibercept may also stop the growth of small cell lung cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It is not yet known whether topotecan is more effective with or without aflibercept in treating patients with small cell lung cancer.
NCT00516503
RATIONALE: Baclofen-amitriptyline-ketamine (BAK) gel may lessen peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy. It is not yet known whether BAK gel is more effective than a placebo in treating peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy . PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying BAK gel to see how well it works compared with a placebo in treating peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy in patients with cancer.
NCT00099736
The efficacy and safety of FTY720 is being evaluated in patients who receive a kidney transplant.
NCT02276209
This is a randomized, double blind, multicenter, parallel group, outpatient study evaluating the efficacy and safety of dasotraline in adults with ADHD.
NCT00118703
The primary objective of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of GW685698X 100mcg once daily (QD) aqueous nasal spray with vehicle placebo nasal spray in adult and adolescent subjects (12 years of age and older) with vasomotor rhinitis (VMR).
NCT00483223
The purpose of this research study is to : * Determine how effective cisplatin or carboplatin is in slowing the time it takes for ER negative (estrogen-receptor-negative), PR negative (progesterone receptor-negative), HER2 negative (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) breast cancer to progress. Cisplatin and carboplatin are anti-cancer chemotherapy drugs that stop cancer cells from growing abnormally and is used to treat other cancers. * Evaluate a new biomarker to help determine which breast cancers are most likely to respond to cisplatin chemotherapy The hypothesis is that Triple Negative metastatic breast cancer may be particularly sensitive to platinum, and that a subgroup of those patients may have a marker in their tumors that predicts response.
NCT01895452
This is an extension of a previous study (ALK9072-003EXT). The purpose of this study is to continue to evaluate the long-term safety and durability of effect of ALKS 9072 in subjects with stable schizophrenia, and to allow subjects who are doing well on ALKS 9072 to continue treatment.
NCT01323803
This study will establish a registry for participants with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and create a research resource that will provide further insights into EoE.
NCT02142504
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of the norovirus bivalent virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine for further development by assessing the rates of serious adverse events (SAEs), unsolicited adverse events (AEs), solicited local and solicited systemic AEs, Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESIs) and AEs leading to participant's withdrawal from the trial.
NCT02410824
Bilateral dispensing clinical trial of stenfilcon A against etafilcon A for astigmatism.
NCT02759692
Adaptive, randomized, subject-masked, dispensing study to evaluate the short-term, clinical performance of two FDA-approved contact lens.
NCT00756730
For participants with HIV taking either lopinavir or fosamprenavir who have elevated triglycerides, this trial will study the change in triglycerides after switching protease inhibitors.
NCT00405587
The primary objective of this FIH study is to assess the safety and pharmacokinetics of PLX4032 in patients with solid tumors. The secondary objective is to assess the pharmacodynamic activity in paired biopsy specimens obtained from patients with malignant melanoma who have the V600E BRAF oncogenic mutation.
NCT00061763
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of the oral iron chelator Deferasirox on liver iron content after one year of treatment in patients with iron overload from repeated blood transfusions. Beta-thalassemia patients unable to be treated with deferoxamine or patients with rare chronic anemias such as Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Fanconi's Syndrome, Blackfan-Diamond Syndrome, and Pure Red Blood Cell Anemia are eligible for this study. Liver iron content will be measured by liver biopsy at the beginning of the study and after one year of treatment. However, those patients living in the San Francisco/Oakland area may have a SQUID in place of the liver biopsy if the biopsy is not medically possible for them. The SQUID is a non-invasive magnetic means to measure liver iron content.
NCT01999192
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of three different Tregalizumab doses in combination with Methotrexate (MTX) in subjects who have active rheumatoid arthritis and an inadequate response to MTX alone. The overall study duration is 24 weeks followed by a 24 week extension phase.
