Cardiovascular (CV) events are the leading cause of mortality in the United States. Statins have been demonstrated to be an effective tool for reducing CV events and mortality, but statins are often either not prescribed or under-prescribed for patients that meet evidence-based guidelines. In this study, we will evaluate a health system initiative using active and passive choice prompts in the electronic health record to prompt cardiologists to prescribe evidence-based statin therapy. In partnership with the health system, this will be conducted as a randomized, controlled trial to evaluate its effect.

A recently completed trial of weekly injections of 17 alpha hydroxyprogesterone caproate (17P) found significant effectiveness for 17P in preventing recurrent preterm birth. However, the group who received 17P in this trial still had a high rate of preterm birth. Several reports have shown that dietary supplementation of fish oil, which is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, reduces the risk of preterm birth. This trial tests whether adding the Omega-3 supplement to 17P therapy has the potential for further reducing the risk of preterm birth in women who have previously had a spontaneous preterm delivery. The trial will compare Omega-3 fatty acid with placebo in women receiving 17P therapy. The hypothesis being tested is: "Among women at high risk for preterm birth receiving weekly injections of 17P, the addition of Omega-3 nutritional supplement will further reduce the rate of preterm birth."

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride (PLD) work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Everolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving carboplatin and PLD together with everolimus may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of everolimus when given together with carboplatin and PLD in treating patients with relapsed ovarian epithelial, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cavity cancer

The primary objective will be to assess the overall response rate and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of idelalisib (IDELA; GS-1101) in participants with previously treated indolent Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (iNHL) that is refractory both to rituximab and to alkylating-agent-containing chemotherapy. Eligible participants will initiate oral therapy with idelalisib at a starting dose of 150 mg taken twice per day. Treatment with idelalisib can continue in compliant participants as long as the study is still ongoing and the participants appear to be benefiting from treatment with acceptable safety.

The fundamental hypothesis of this project is that real-time intracardiac pressures can be monitored and quantified noninvasively in humans using a novel contrast-enhanced ultrasound technique called subharmonic-aided pressure estimation (SHAPE).This study will use contrast echocardiography to assess the accuracy of SHAPE compared to simultaneously acquired intracardiac pressures measured invasively during cardiac catheterization. This study is designed to verify that contrast echocardiography using the SHAPE method, already proven in a canine model and tested in a human pilot study can be used as a surrogate for cardiac catheterization with sufficient accuracy to allow clinical applicability in humans.

This registry will perform prospective surveillance of participants attending collaborating Integrative Medicine clinic sites for clinical services. All decisions about medication use, treatments, visit frequency, assessment of tolerance, and other aspects of patient management will be left to the clinical providers' discretion. We will attempt to follow the participants in the PRIMIER Registry for up to 2 years. Essential data elements that capture patient-reported outcomes and measures of clinical activity will be obtained at approximately 2-month intervals for the first 6 months, then every 6 months through the end of year 2.

The purpose of this research is to test a new instrument, called a fetal STAN monitor, that may be used during labor to monitor the electrical activity of the baby's heart. This new instrument is designed to help the doctor determine how well the baby is doing during labor. It will be used along with the existing electronic fetal monitor used to measure the baby's heart rate and the mother's contractions during birth. The specific purpose of this research study is to see if this new instrument (fetal STAN monitor) will have an impact on newborn health.

This multicenter, non-randomized, open-label, treatment continuation or 'rollover' study was designed to provide continued access to eligible subjects who had previously participated in a GSK2110183 study (parent study) sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) or another research organization working on behalf of GSK. Eligible subjects had previously received clinical benefit from continued treatment and had to have ad an acceptable safety profile with GSK2110183. Subjects who had participated in a GSK2110183 combination study with an approved anti-cancer agent were also be eligible to enroll in this rollover study. Subjects who participated in combination studies with two investigational compounds (one being GSK2110183) were not eligible for this rollover study. Subjects were enrolled by cohort based on the duration and treatment received while in their parent study. Safety assessments (physical examinations, vital sign measurements, 12-lead electrocardiograms, echocardiograms or multiple-gated acquisition scans, clinical laboratory assessments and monitoring of adverse events) were evaluated during this study. Disease assessment were performed using local standard of care imaging practices and criteria appropriate for disease type and location.

This study will assess different doses and regimens of radium-223 dichloride on the incidence of symptomatic skeletal events. Eligible subjects must have castration resistant prostate cancer with 2 or more skeletal metastases documented within 8 weeks of randomization. Subjects will be randomized to one of 3 treatment arms in a 1:1:1 fashion: a standard regimen of radium-223 dichloride of 50 kBq/kg (55 kBq/kg after implementation of NIST update) injections every month for 6 months, a high dose regimen of 80 kBq/kg (88 kBq/kg after implementation of NIST update)injections every month for 6 months or an extended duration regimen of 50 kBq/kg (55 kBq/kg after implementation of NIST update) injections every month for 12 months. Following the treatment phase, subjects will be followed up every 12 weeks for a minimum of 2 years, at which point they will enter a long term follow-up period during which they are seen every 6 months for up to 7 years after the last dose of radium dichloride. Symptomatic skeletal event and safety endpoints will be assessed at each clinic visit. Pain and analgesic use data will be collected every 4 weeks through Week 48. Additionally, radiological assessments including MRI/CT of the abdomen and pelvis and chest CT, as well as technetium-99 bone scans will be performed at Weeks 8, 16, and 24 and continue every 12 weeks thereafter until disease progression is documented in either the bone or in soft tissue. Radiological imaging will be evaluated by blinded central review.

This multicenter study will be conducted to compare the effect of FF/UMEC/VI with FF/VI plus UMEC on lung function after 24 weeks of treatment. This is a phase IIIB, 24-week, randomized, double-blind, parallel group multicenter study. This study will test the hypothesis that the difference in trough forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) between treatment groups is less than or equal to a pre-specified non-inferiority margin. Alternatively, this study will also test the hypothesis that the difference between treatment groups is greater than the margin. The triple therapy of FF/UMEC/VI in a single inhaler is being developed with the aim of providing a new treatment option for the management of advanced Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) Group D COPD which will reduce the exacerbation frequency, allow for a reduced burden of polypharmacy, convenience, and improve lung function, health related quality of life (HRQoL) and symptom control over established dual/monotherapies. This study has a 2 week run in period where subjects will continue to have their existing COPD medications. At randomization, subjects will discontinue all existing COPD medications and will be assigned to treatment of FF/UMEC/VI, 100 microgram (mcg)/62.5 mcg/25 mcg and placebo or FF/VI, 100 mcg/25 mcg and UMEC, 62.5 mcg in a 1:1 ratio for 24 weeks. Subjects will have clinical visits at Pre-Screening (Visit 0), Screening (Visit 1), Randomization (Week 0, Visit 2), Week 4 (Visit 3), Week 12 (Visit 4) and Week 24 (Visit 5). A follow-up visit will be conducted at 1 week after the end of treatment period or after early withdrawal visit. Approximately, 1020 subjects will be enrolled in this study. There will be two pharmacokinetic (PK) groups (subset A and subset B). Approximately 120 subjects will be assigned to subset A and approximately 60 subjects will be assigned to subset B. The total duration of subject participation will be approximately 27 weeks, consisting of a 2-week run-in period, 24-week treatment period and a 1-week follow-up period.
