NCT01989572
This randomized phase III trial studies sargramostim or vaccine therapy alone to see how well they work compared to sargramostim and vaccine therapy together in preventing disease recurrence in patients with melanoma that has been removed by surgery. Sargramostim may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Vaccines made from peptides may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. It is not yet known whether yeast derived sargramostim and vaccine therapy are more effective alone or together in preventing recurrence of melanoma.
NCT02025751
The purpose of this study is evaluate the safety and efficacy of Metoclopramide Nasal Spray compared to placebo in reducing the symptoms of diabetic gastroparesis in adult men.
NCT00277810
The purpose of the study is to determine the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of 3 doses of lecozotan in combination with a cholinesterase inhibitor in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD).
NCT00891865
The purpose of this study is to determine whether respiratory viral infections increase the risk of bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), obliterative bronchiolitis (OB), death, or retransplantation in children who have received lung transplants.
NCT02654054
This study seeks to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of elagolix alone and in combination with estradiol/norethindrone acetate for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids in premenopausal women.
NCT02138838
The primary objective was to evaluate the efficacy of cinacalcet for reducing the plasma intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) level by ≥ 30%.
NCT02548442
Development and Clinical Evaluation of the Stemina Metabolic Biomarker-Based Test to Diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder in Early Childhood.
NCT03210168
This study evaluates the safety, tolerability, and activity of BioFe in the dietary management of iron deficiency in adults.
NCT03990350
The human gastrointestinal (GI) tract is filled with millions of bacteria that can affect our health. These bacteria are linked with our overall health including obesity risk. In the United States the Hispanic population is one of the ethnic groups at higher risk of developing obesity. In this study the team will investigate differences in the GI bacterial composition between Hispanic and Caucasian children, and potentially demonstrate a correlation between the composition of metagenome and a higher risk to develop obesity. This will be done by collecting stool samples and comparing the bacteria found in the stool of Hispanic children (with and without obesity) and Caucasian children (with and without obesity.
NCT03239665
The study consists of two arms (PHARM and PEER) designed to educate participants about three vaccine-preventable diseases (zoster, pneumonia, and influenza) and vaccination. PHARM will consist of a 60-minute presentation about the three vaccine-preventable diseases and their vaccinations delivered by a pharmacist, featuring a didactic lecture and discussion supplemented by video clips of community members discussing their experiences around vaccination, as well as physicians underscoring the importance of vaccination. PEER will consist of a 60-minute small-group session led by a peer educator which includes scripted roleplaying exercises designed to reinforce learnings pertaining to these three vaccine-preventable diseases and their vaccinations. The components of these interventions will be designed to address specific barriers to vaccination identified by literature search and our prior work in the area of community-based vaccine education. Both arms will focus primarily on pneumococcal disease and zoster but will include limited content on influenza because participants are likely to have questions about how the flu and its vaccination differ from pneumococcal diseases and zoster. The study will be implemented in an older, predominantly African-American (AA) population, consistent with our prior work in this area.
NCT02561897
This is a prospective randomized comparative evaluation of Edoxaban and Warfarin for safety and efficacy in perioperative use in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) undergoing clinically indicated implantation or replacement of cardiovascular implantable electrical devices. The primary objective is to compare the rates of local and systemic bleeding in subjects randomized to Edoxaban compared to subjects randomized to continuous warfarin in within 30 days of cardiac rhythm device implant with concomitant non-valvular AF.
NCT01465841
This is a prospective, multi-center study of patients with intracranial or peripheral aneurysms who are treated by the PC 400 System. The primary objective is to gather post market data on the Penumbra Coil 400 (PC 400) System in the acute treatment of intracranial and peripheral aneurysms. Approximately 2,000 patients with intracranial or peripheral aneurysms treated by the PC 400 System at up to 100 centers will be enrolled. Data for each patient are collected up to discharge or 3 days post-procedure, whichever occurs sooner. Long term follow-up to one year will be conducted in accordance to the standard of care at each participating hospital.
NCT01928537
This study will examine the effect intravenously administered rigosertib has on the relationship between bone marrow blasts response and overall survival in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) patients who have 5-30% bone marrow blasts and who progressed on or after treatment with azacitidine or decitabine.
NCT01047839
The primary objective is to assess the safety profile of IC51 in a pediatric population from regions where JEV is not endemic
NCT02812875
CA-170 is a rationally designed and orally available, small molecule that directly targets the Programmed death-ligands 1 and 2 (PD-L1/PD-L2), and V-domain Ig suppressor of T cell activation (VISTA) immune checkpoints and results in activation of T cell proliferation and cytokine production. This is a multi-center, open-label, Phase 1 trial of orally administered CA-170 in adult patients with advanced solid tumors or lymphomas who have progressed or are non-responsive to available therapies and for which no standard therapy exists.
NCT02387125
This is a Phase 1b, open label, multi-center study of CMB305 (sequentially administered LV305 \[a dendritic cell-targeting viral vector expressing the NY-ESO-1 gene\] and G305 \[NY-ESO-1 recombinant protein plus GLA-SE\]) in patients with melanoma, sarcoma, ovarian cancer, or non-small cell lung cancer that express NY-ESO-1.
NCT01290367
The purpose of this study is to compare two doses of immunoselected, culture-expanded, nucleated, allogeneic adult MPCs when combined with hyaluronic acid to two control intradiscal injections in subjects with chronic low back pain due to moderate Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) at one lumbar level from L1 to S1. All investigational subjects in this study will undergo injection of either 6 million (M) or 18M cells in a hyaluronic acid carrier into the degenerated lumbar disc's nucleus pulposus. All control subjects will undergo an intradiscal control injection with either saline or hyaluronic acid only
