NCT00101972
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as RAV12, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of RAV12 in treating patients with metastatic or recurrent adenocarcinoma.
NCT03907176
This is a Phase 3b, open-label study to assess postoperative opioid use in subjects undergoing unilateral open inguinal herniorrhaphy with intraoperative administration of HTX-011 and a postoperative non-opioid multimodal analgesic (MMA) regimen. The study will be conducted in 2 sequential parts: Part 1 is randomized and Part 2 is Investigator's preference for MMA regimen.
NCT00589420
RATIONALE: Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving sorafenib together with docetaxel may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying giving sorafenib together with docetaxel to see how well it works in treating patients with metastatic androgen-independent prostate cancer.
NCT02450760
The goal of this pilot project is to assess adherence with home blood pressure monitoring in hypertensive patients with a history of cerebral infarction and to determine if a social incentive improves adherence with monitoring. Enrolled subjects will all have a history of cerebral infarction and uncontrolled blood pressure, defined by SBP\>140 or DBP\>90 mm Hg at the time of enrollment. To be eligible subjects will also be required to own a smart phone (iOS or Android operating system). After enrollment, patients will be given a home blood pressure cuff with instructions to monitor their BP twice daily for 90 days. Subjects will be randomly assigned to a social incentive program, in which a social supporter receives updates via email and/or text message on the subject's adherence with BP monitoring and their average blood pressure. This study will provide important pilot data which will inform the design of future studies utilizing connected health and automated systems to improve home blood pressure monitoring and blood pressure control in patients with a history of stroke.
NCT02376296
In this observational study, blood samples for pharmacokinetic (PK) testing will be collected from subjects with metastatic prostate cancer during their treatment with docetaxel. Plasma levels of docetaxel will be determined, and the subjects docetaxel exposure levels, determined as an area under the curve (AUC), will be retrospectively correlated with reports of toxicity, tumor response, quality of life, time to disease progression and overall survival to provide guidance on what the appropriate target range for docetaxel exposure should be for metastatic prostate cancer subjects receiving docetaxel therapy for their disease.
NCT02481310
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects, good and bad of a new drug called ixazomib (also called MLN9708), when it is given along with a common treatment combination, called Dose-Adjusted EPOCH-R (DA-EPOCH-R, for short). This is a type of study called a phase I/II trial. In the phase I part, the dose of the study drug (ixazomib) will be adjusted (either up or down) to find the maximum (highest) dose that does not cause excessive (too many) harmful side effects. In the phase II part, this dose of ixazomib will be given at the maximum safe dose found in phase I. In both phase I and II, DA-EPOCH-R will be adjusted between cycles depending on how blood cell levels are affected between cycles. Ixazomib is considered investigational because it is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). DA-EPOCH-R is a combination chemotherapy treatment developed over the last 14-15 years, and each of the drugs in this regimen is FDA-approved and considered part of the standard of care.
NCT03308396
This is a single arm, multi-centre (via Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium) phase Ib/II study of patients treated with durvalumab 1500 mg IV q 4 weeks in combination with guadecitabine at the recommended phase 2 dose subcutaneously for 5 consecutive days. Eligible patients will have metastatic RCC with a clear cell component, ECOG performance status of 0-1, have received 0-1 prior therapy but no prior anti-PD-1/PD-L1/CTLA4 (Cohort 1, 36 subjects). Study treatment could potentially continue for up to 13 cycles (52 weeks).
NCT04498273
A multi-center adaptive randomized placebo-controlled platform trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of anti-thrombotic strategies in COVID-19 adults not requiring hospitalization at time of diagnosis
NCT03732807
This is a global Phase 2b/3 study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug (called PF-06651600) in adults and adolescents (12 years and older) who have 50% or greater scalp hair loss. The study is placebo-controlled, meaning that some patients entering the study will not receive active study drug but will receive tablets with no active ingredients (a placebo). This is a dose-ranging study, investigating 5 different dosing regimens. It will be double-blinded, meaning that the sponsor, the study doctors, the staff, and the patients will not know whether a patient is on active study drug (or the dose) or placebo.
NCT03794544
Study D9108C00002 (NeoCOAST) is a platform study assessing the effectiveness and safety of neoadjuvant durvalumab alone or in combination with novel agents in participants with resectable, early-stage (Stage I \[\>2cm\] to IIIA) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
NCT03922477
