NCT00783510
This is a global registry, to evaluate the long-term safety of Humira® in patients with moderate to severe polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), that are treated as recommended in the Humira® product label. Patients treated with MTX will be considered a reference group. Patients will be followed in both the Humira® and Methotrexate (MTX) arms for 10 years from the enrollment date into one of the treatment arms.
NCT05076708
This within-subjects study aims to evaluate the effects of IQOS use on combustible cigarette smoking behaviors among 100 cigarette smokers who completed the study. After measuring baseline cigarette smoking rate, participants will receive an IQOS device and be instructed to use it (versus cigarettes) over a 14-day period. The investigators will also examine which objective and subjective effects of IQOS use predict a complete and incomplete switch from cigarettes to IQOS.
NCT03649971
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of treatment with guselkumab in participants with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) on rectal/pouch polyp burden.
NCT04847479
Widespread testing and contact tracing are critical to controlling the COVID-19 epidemic. Distribution of COVID-19 self-test kits can augment public health contact tracing efforts, as individuals with COVID-19 can distribute self-testing to close contacts. This approach can increase case detection by facilitating testing among exposed individuals, and potentially ameliorate stigma, fear, and medical mistrust associated with COVID-19 among vulnerable populations. The central hypothesis of this study is that distribution of SARS-CoV-2 self-tests to close contacts of among individuals with COVID-19 infection can increase case detection compared with a standard contact referral strategy.
NCT05827068
The purpose of this study is to measure the safety and the immune response to 3 next-generation influenza vaccine candidates (mRNA-1011.1, mRNA-1011.2, and mRNA-1012.1) compared with influenza vaccine candidate mRNA-1010 controls in healthy adult participants.
NCT04479787
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of BurstDR dorsal column stimulation, compared with conventional medical management, in improving pain and back-related physical function in subjects suffering with chronic, refractory axial low back pain with a neuropathic component, who have not had lumbar spine surgery and for whom surgery is not an option.
NCT03982186
The purpose of this study is to establish the dose-response relationship for antiviral activity of 3 dose levels of JNJ-73763989+nucleos(t)ide analog (NA) and to evaluate the efficacy of combination regimens of JNJ-73763989+NA (with and without JNJ-56136379) and of JNJ-56136379+NA.
NCT04931810
This is an implementation trial of the All Nations Breath of Life (ANBL) smoking cessation program, which has already been tested for efficacy in reservation populations and shown feasibility in urban populations. It includes four implementation sites, two reservation sites and two urban sites. Therefore, investigators plan to test efficacy simultaneously. Implementation will follow guidelines described in the protocol, with all sites implementing certain parts of the intervention the same way, with the freedom to modify some aspects of the intervention for appropriate use in their communities. Statistical considerations are described in the appropriate section.
NCT01703481
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics (study of what the body does to a drug), and pharmacodynamics (study of what a drug does to the body) of JNJ-42756493, a pan-fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, in adult participants with advanced or refractory solid tumors or lymphoma.
NCT03085108
The main purpose of this cross-sectional study is to generate data to support the psychometric properties of the Suicide Ideation and Behavior Assessment Tool (SIBAT) and validate its use in participants at imminent risk of suicide.
NCT05009264
The primary aim of this study is to determine if osteopathic manipulative treatment is as effective to traditional lidocaine injection technique in treating myofascial trigger points in regard to post intervention pain intensity and quality of life.
NCT04952909
A Prospective, Multicenter, Non-Randomized, Single-Arm, Open-Label Clinical Study to Demonstrate the Safety and Effectiveness of the ShortCut™ device for splitting bioprosthetic aortic valve leaflets in patients who are presented for a valve-in-valve (ViV) transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure for an approved ViV indication, and who are at risk for TAVR-induced coronary artery ostium obstruction.
NCT04102111
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of JNJ-active as measured by the change in the Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) score and Simplified Endoscopic Score for Crohn's disease (SES-CD) from baseline at Week 12.
NCT05496231
The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and reactogenicity of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals SA (GSK)'s investigational adjuvanted human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine formulations.
NCT02542631
To compare glycemic control and treatment satisfaction using a novel bolus insulin patch (Finesse) versus a pen for initiating and managing bolus insulin dosing in patients with T2DM not achieving glycemic targets on basal insulin with/without anti-hyperglycemic agents.
NCT02315703
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of various regimens containing adenovirus serotype 26-Mosaic -Human Immunodeficiency Virus (Ad26.Mos.HIV), Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA)-Mosaic, and/or HIV type 1 Clade C glycoprotein 140 drug product (gp140 DP) components and to compare envelope binding antibody responses between the different vaccine regimens.
NCT03513614
RATIONALE: The use of tailored axillary dissection as a tailored procedure will avoid surgical overtreatment by selectively removing the lymph nodes that are affected by the cancer, thereby sparing many women the unnecessary complications of a radical surgery, providing a better quality of life while keeping the same efficacy. PURPOSE: The phase III trial is evaluating the optimal treatment for breast cancer patients in terms of surgery and radiotherapy.
NCT01715285
The purpose of this study is to determine if newly diagnosed (within previous 3 months) participants with metastatic (spread of cancer cells from one part of the body to another ) hormone-naive prostate cancer (mHNPC) who have high-risk prognostic factors will benefit from the addition of abiraterone acetate plus low-dose prednisone to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT; lutenizing hormone releasing hormone \[LHRH\] agonists or surgical castration).
NCT04147338
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the serum concentration of guselkumab after administration using three different devices in healthy participants.
NCT04068792
The purpose of this two-part designed study is to assess in the setting of a planned early interception of pediatric RSV disease, early viral and disease kinetics (observational stage) and the antiviral effects of an Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) fusion inhibitor, JNJ-53718678 (interventional stage). In the observational stage the infant is closely monitored for early symptoms by the parent(s)/caregiver(s) and thus may be brought in for diagnosis earlier than in the typical setting.
