NCT00055835
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, paclitaxel, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy before radiation therapy, and combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy, may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of neoadjuvant gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and carboplatin followed by cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients who have locally advanced or recurrent carcinoma (cancer) of the urothelium.
NCT00297089
To determine the efficacy of ABT-751 when administered in combination with standard pemetrexed in subjects with advanced or metastatic NSCLC. The Phase 1 portion of the study is complete and the study is currently enrolling subjects in Phase 2.
NCT00017199
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of PS-341 in treating patients who have metastatic neuroendocrine tumors.
NCT00024180
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of FR901228 in treating patients who have hematologic cancer.
NCT00005035
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of oxaliplatin in treating patients who have advanced head and neck cancer.
NCT00006000
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. SU5416 may stop the growth of solid tumors by stopping blood flow to the tumor. Combining SU5416 with chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of SU5416 plus irinotecan and cisplatin in treating patients who have advanced solid tumors.
NCT00004011
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known if surgery plus combination chemotherapy is more effective than surgery alone for non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of surgery with or without combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT00058045
RATIONALE: Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill cancer cells. Stem cell factor may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help a person's immune system recover from the side effects of cancer therapy. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combining interleukin-2 with stem cell factor in treating patients who have AIDS or AIDS-related cancer.
NCT00760916
This study is an international, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in subjects with PAH who are currently receiving approved therapy for their PAH (i.e., endothelin receptor antagonist and/or phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor)or as a monotherapy treatment. Study visits will occur at 4 week intervals for 12 weeks with the key measure of efficacy being the 6-minute walk test. Study procedures include routine blood tests, medical history, physical exams, disease evaluation, and exercise tests. At the end of the first 12-weeks, the patient will be un-blinded. Patients will continue with another 12-Week open label portion with visits occuring at 4-week intervals. Patients who complete all assessments for 24-weeks will also be eligible to enter a 36 month open-label, extension phase study (FREEDOM - EXT).
NCT00626002
The purpose of this study is to evaluate long term safety, efficacy and tolerability of ABT-874 in adults with moderate to severe psoriasis.
NCT00819000
The purpose of this study is to determine if higher compliance and adherence rates to drug therapy for MS result in better health outcomes than lower rates of therapy compliance and adherence.
NCT00730015
The objective of this trial is to determine the efficacy and safety of linaclotide administered to patients with chronic constipation (CC). The primary efficacy parameter is the percentage of patients in each dosing group that meet the protocol definition for Complete Spontaneous Bowel Movement (CSBM) Overall Responder.
NCT00422669
The purpose of the Optimize RV study is to determine the long-term effect of selective site pacing. Selective site pacing refers to which area of the right ventricle the lead is placed. The goal of select site pacing is to improve how the heart contracts when paced in the ventricle. By pacing in select sites, it is possible to better copy the natural pattern of contraction of the heart.
NCT00319254
The purpose of this study is to determine if SKI-606 (Bosutinib) is effective in the treatment of advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Patients must have current Stage IIIB, IIIC or IV breast cancer and have progressed after 1 to 3 prior chemotherapy regimens.
NCT01266811
The purpose of this study is to determine if there is an improvement in progression-free survival (length of time during and after treatment in which a patient is living with a disease that does not get worse) when siltuximab is added to VELCADE and dexamethasone in subjects with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
NCT00002705
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of topotecan in treating children with refractory leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00948909
This is a efficacy and safety study evaluating new treatment for subjects with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease.
NCT00244868
RATIONALE: A computer-based survey and communication aid may help physicians and patients to communicate better and help make treatment decisions easier. PURPOSE: This phase III randomized clinical trial is studying how well giving a computer-based survey together with a communication aid works compared to a computer-based survey alone in improving physician-patient communication and treatment decision making in patients with metastatic cancer.
NCT00534417
The purpose of this study is to determine if the combination of continuous daily capecitabine with fulvestrant on a loading dose schedule will delay disease progression in metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients.
NCT01097369
Primary Objective: To determine the incidence, titer and type of anti-rasburicase antibodies in the context of hypersensitivity reaction(s) or the loss of uricolytic activity occurring in patients with relapsed leukemia/lymphoma who have been re-treated with rasburicase and have experienced a hypersensitivity reaction or loss of uricolytic activity.
