NCT02532465
Endotracheal intubation is the gold standard for securing the airway. However, while managing patients with difficult airways, various supraglottic devices have been used as rescue airway devices. The aim of this study is to compare the fiberoptic view through the internal aspect of the i-gel versus the Air-Q LMA in pediatric patients. By examining the fiberoptic view through these two devices, the investigators will determine which device provides a clearer passage to the glottic opening and is therefore the preferred conduit to aid endotracheal intubation in difficult airways.
NCT01838876
The objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of cariprazine as an adjunctive treatment to antidepressant therapy (ADT) in patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
NCT02787486
In January 2007, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) revised its guidelines that now recommend physicians are ethically obligated to fully inform all pregnant women that screening for fetal chromosomal abnormalities including biochemical screening tests and invasive procedures such as CVS or amniocentesis is available, regardless of age. Further, it is entirely up to the patient to decide whether or not she wishes to be screened for fetal chromosomal abnormalities without judgment from the physician. Noninvasive laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) that detect an abnormal amount of maternal and fetal DNA in an expectant mother's blood sample (known as circulating cell-free DNA) are now available. These LDTs have not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Although LDTs to date have not been subject to U.S. FDA regulation, certification of the laboratory is required under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) to ensure the quality and validity of the test. To sample collection study will obtain whole blood specimens from pregnant subjects to be used for development of prenatal assays to assist in the screening for fetal genetic abnormalities, infectious and other diseases, and blood group typing through detection of circulating cell-free DNA extracted from maternal plasma.
NCT02258542
The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety profile of benralizumab administration in asthma patients who have completed one of the three predecessor studies: D3250C00017, D3250C00018 or D3250C00020.
NCT03364335
This is a 24-week study to evaluate the effects of two fixed-dose combinations of leucine and sildenafil or two fixed-dose combinations of leucine, sildenafil and metformin compared to placebo. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the percentage change in body weight in subjects from Baseline/Visit 2 (Day 1) to Study Termination/Visit 8 (Day 168/Week 24).
NCT02725515
The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of XmAb5871 to maintain Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) disease activity improvement achieved by a brief course of disease-suppressing steroid therapy
NCT01867762
The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of JNJ 49095397 in participants with symptomatic moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
NCT02748837
This is the open label, multicenter Phase 1 study which consists of a dose escalation to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and cohort expansion to obtain a preliminary evaluation of anti-tumor activity. ERY974 is intravenously injected to patients with Glypican 3 positive advanced solid tumors until unacceptable toxicity or disease progression.
NCT01603641
This study will evaluate the long-term safety of BOTOX® (botulinum toxin Type A) for the treatment of pediatric lower limb spasticity.
NCT02547935
The purpose of this clinical research study is to determine whether dapagliflozin alone or in combination with saxagliptin can decrease albuminuria and improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 diabetes, albuminuria and renal impairment (CKD). The study is planned to randomize a total of 450 patients (150 patients per treatment arm)
NCT03534258
This study is designed as a prospective, non-randomized, observational, multicenter clinical trial. The primary aim of this study is to observe if the use of the rapid responds electroencephalography (EEG) system impacts physician decision making. Secondary aims include exploring the safety and performance information of the Ceribell EEG system compared to conventional EEG system. The study will recruit physicians (Faculty physicians and Trainees) at up to five institutions and examine the impact of rapid response EEG when providing care to patients in whom EEG recording has been ordered for clinical reasons.
NCT00569270
We will detect dynamic hyperinflation (DH) in 40 COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) patients with moderately severe disease using metronome paced hyperventilation (MPH) with inspiratory capacity as the primary end point. Hypothesis: Is tiotropium capable of lung volume protecting inspiratory capacity from MPH induced DH vs placebo in a randomized crossover double blinded study.
NCT02109770
The purpose of this study is to collect blood from families with a child who has been diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder including microdeletions in order to further develop a non-invasive prenatal screening test based on fetal DNA isolated from maternal blood.
