NCT01355484
The purpose of this study is to determine if the investigational drug GTx-024 can help subjects with non-small cell lung cancer increase physical function and maintain or gain muscle, also called "lean body mass".
NCT02147951
Expanded access of Talimogene Laherparepvec for subjects with unresected, stage IIIb to IVM1c Melanoma.
NCT02482545
Purpose: To evaluate the effects of replacing breakfast with a high protein, high fat, high fiber meal replacement in overweight individuals, on body composition. Participants: Healthy, overweight and obese individuals (ages 18-45 yrs) with no history of disease. Procedures (methods): In a randomized control intervention, subjects will complete 5 different testing sessions (pre-screening, 2 baseline testing sessions, and 2 post testing sessions) as well as an 8 week intervention period. Pre-screening will include written informed consent, health history questionnaire, nutrition analysis, and baseline anthropometric measures. Baseline testing will be split into two sessions and include measurements of resting metabolic rate (RMR), body composition, blood and saliva hormones, mood, satiety, and health related quality of life questionnaires, and a cardiorespiratory fitness assessment. Subjects will be randomly assigned to treatment (8 week supplementation with meal replacement to be taken at breakfast) and control groups (continue normal eating habits) with 4 electronic correspondences throughout the supplementation period. All measures will be repeated in two post-testing sessions.
NCT00326664
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of AZD2171 in treating young patients with recurrent, progressive, or refractory primary CNS tumors. AZD2171 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
NCT01705496
This protocol will evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of \[124I\]FIAU as a diagnostic imaging agent for the detection of prosthetic joint infections in patients.
NCT00520273
This study will evaluate the specificity of the cobas TaqScreen MPX Test for the simultaneous detection of HBV DNA, HCV RNA and HIV-1 Group M in a minimum of 100,000 individual donor samples in 96-unit pools.
NCT01629589
The aim of this study is to describe immunogenicity of a single booster dose of Adacel vaccine versus Boostrix vaccine among approximately 420 adolescents 11 to \<13 years of age. Primary objective: * To describe seroprotection rates against tetanus and diphtheria in subjects randomized to receive either Adacel or Boostrix vaccine. Observational objectives: * To describe pre- and post-vaccination tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis geometric mean antibody concentrations (GMCs) in subjects randomized to receive either Adacel or Boostrix vaccine. * To describe booster response rates against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis in subjects randomized to receive either Adacel or Boostrix vaccine. * To describe the rates of adverse events (AEs) immediately post-vaccination, and the rates of unsolicited AEs and serious adverse events (SAEs) following vaccination with Adacel or Boostrix vaccine from Visit 1 through Visit 2.
NCT00087594
This study will evaluate the safety and tolerability of PEGASYS plus ribavirin in previous intravenous (iv) drug users who have CHC and are currently enrolled in a methadone maintenance treatment program. The anticipated time on study treatment is 1-2 years, and the target sample size is \<100 individuals.
NCT01151410
The purpose of this study is to evaluate in a randomized, double-blind fashion, the long-term safety, tolerability and efficacy profile of aliskiren compared to the active comparator enalapril in children, 6 - 17 years old with hypertension (msSBP ≥ 95th percentile for age, gender and height, at baseline in study CSPP100A2365). Patients will be randomized to receive either aliskiren or enalapril. Weight-group based doses of aliskiren or enalapril will be administered once daily and children will receive study medication in a double-blind manner. This study is being conducted to support monotherapy registration of aliskiren for the treatment of hypertension in pediatric patients 6-17 years of age (age at baseline in Study CSPP100A2365).
NCT00782496
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if the meal marker and reminder feature of the Contour meter along with education maintains or increases frequency of testing blood sugar after meals and enables behavioral changes that may lead to improvement in glycemic control.
NCT01433263
A safety \& efficacy clinical study of the investigational medicinal product BYM338 for the treatment of unintentional weight loss in patients with cancer of the lung or the pancreas
NCT01683149
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute will be the Sunshine Project Coordinator, but will not be recruiting locally. The purpose of this research study is to establish a dose of the combination of drugs, Topotecan and Sorafenib in children. This will be called the maximum tolerated dose. The chemotherapy in this study is a combination of Topotecan and Sorafenib. The investigators are trying to find the highest dose of Topotecan and Sorafenib that can be given safely to children with Refractory or Recurrent Pediatric Solid Malignancies. The investigators will do this by testing different doses of these drugs in different groups of children. The investigators will also study how the body processes these drugs.
NCT01314001
The purpose of this research program is to understand how a biomarker called the "nicotine metabolite ratio" (also referred to as NMR) may influence a smoker's ability to quit smoking.
NCT00434148
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of two different doses of Pasireotide in patients with de novo or recurrent/persistent Cushing's Disease.
NCT01474317
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that untrained subjects who have diabetes can operate the Investigational Blood Glucose Monitoring System (BGMS) and obtain valid glucose results.
NCT02034825
This prospectively designed retrospective clinical utility study will evaluate urologists' treatment recommendations before and after reviewing Decipher results for selected patient cases.
NCT01787227
xTAG RPP assay is a PCR-based assay to detect the presence or absence of viral and bacterial DNA / RNA in clinical specimens (nasopharyngeal swabs). The objective of this study is to establish diagnostic accuracy of the xTAG RPP.

NCT01809665
This investigation is designed to provide supporting evidence for the clinical safety of the Ilesto/Iforia ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator)system and the Evia/Entovis HF-T (Heart Failure) triple chamber pacemaker system when used under specific MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) conditions.
NCT01398462
CWP232291 blocks proliferation of cancer cells via activation of caspases. Active caspase have been shown to target beta-catenin, the hallmark of canonical Wnt signaling, for degradation through caspase-directed cleavage. CWP232291 targets beta-catenin for degradation and thereby inhibits the expression of cell cycle and anti-apoptotic genes such as cyclin D1 and survivin.
