NCT03550742
This is an open labeled, one-armed real-world study in IBS-patients. All participants will receive active treatment for 12 weeks. The primary objective of the study is to assess the effect of Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) on bowel function in adults with IBS. Secondary objectives are to evaluate HMOs' tolerability, effect on participant reported satisfaction with bowel habits, interference with life in general, quality of life, somatic symptoms, and anxiety and depression in all patients and subgroups of patients.
NCT01994889
This Phase 3 study will investigate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of an oral daily dose of 20 mg or 80 mg tafamidis meglumine capsules compared to placebo in subjects with either transthyretin genetic variants or wild-type transthyretin resulting in amyloid cardiomyopathy.
NCT01467076
This is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) on the use of Inhaled prostaglandin E1 (IPGE1) in Neonatal Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure (NHRF). Fifty patients recruited at 10 high volume sites within the NICHD Neonatal Research Network will constitute a pilot sample to evaluate the feasibility and safety of prolonged IPGE1 administration and determination of optimal dose. In this Pilot RCT, two doses of IPGE1 (300 and 150 ng/kg/min) will be administered over a maximum duration of 72 hours and compared with placebo. Once feasibility and safety of IPGE1 administered over 72 hours has been demonstrated in the pilot trial, a full scale randomized controlled trial will be planned.
NCT02960854
A study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of Nivolumab in participants with severe sepsis or septic shock.
NCT01756924
To determine if oral antibiotic treatment with CEM-102 and Rifampin is as effective and safe as the standard of care antibiotic therapy for the treatment of hip and knee prosthetic joint or spacer infections
NCT00799227
The study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of the intravitreal dexamethasone implant in the study eye of vitrectomized subjects with diabetic macular edema. Subjects will be followed for 26 weeks.
NCT02416076
Up to 40 participants will be enrolled, randomized and treated. Enrolled participants will receive one, split-face Ulthera® treatment on the face and neck using a Ulthera System standard transducer on one side of the face and a Ulthera System prototype simulines transducers on the other side of the face. Follow-up visits will occur at 90 and 180 days post-treatment. Study images will be obtained pre-treatment, immediately post-treatment, and at each follow-up visit.
NCT03246399
SM04690-DDD-01 is a Phase 1, open-label, dose escalation study. SM04690 Injectable Suspension will be administered via a single intradiscal injection to subjects with degenerative disc disease (DDD) under fluoroscopic guidance. Groups of 6 subjects will be enrolled in successive cohorts. Subjects will participate in a 6 month follow-up period. Clinic visits will be Screening, Treatment Visit Day 1, and Follow-up Visit Days 2, 15, 28, 60, 90, 135, and 180.
NCT02021929
The main purpose of this clinical trial is to determine the safety and effects of the study drug, sorafenib, in adults diagnosed with hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS). The study will evaluate how well the drug is tolerated and its effect on the level of oxygen in the blood and the function of the lung vessels.
NCT01211873
The purpose of this study is to look at the safety (what are the side effects)and efficacy (how well does it work) of Dotarem® when used in taking images of the brain / spine. The results will be compared to the results of MRI taken without Dotarem.
NCT02568683
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety of ENTO with VCR in participants with relapsed or refractory B-cell NHL.
NCT01877811
This is a first-in-human, multicenter, open-label study consisting of 2 phases. Phase 1 is a dose escalation study of RXDX-105 (formerly known as CEP-32496) in patients with advanced solid tumors aimed at defining the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and schedule for administration. Phase 1b is a dose expansion in approximately 90 patients with advanced solid tumors with specific histologies and/or molecular alterations of interest. Patients in Phase 1b will be treated at the RP2D determined in Phase 1.
NCT01497730
This post-marketing investigation will evaluate the functional knee performance of Subjects who have undergone primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Data from Subjects who receive one of four contemporary knee configurations from different manufacturers will be pooled to establish a contemporary dataset. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the functional performance as measured by the activities of daily living (ADL) sub-score of the Knee Osteoarthritis Outcomes Score (KOOS) patient-reported outcome (PRO) questionnaire of primary TKA at minimum one year post-operation. This will be carried out for all four implant configurations. The final endpoint is a 2-year evaluation.
NCT01249625
Despite widespread use of respiratory protective equipment in the U.S. healthcare workplace, there is very little clinical evidence that respirators prevent healthcare personnel (HCP) from airborne infectious diseases. Scientific investigation of this issue has been quite complicated, primarily because the use of respirators has become "the standard of care" for protection against airborne diseases in some instances, even without sufficient evidence to support their use. The key question remains: How well do respirators prevent airborne infectious diseases? The answer to this important question has important medical, public health, political and economic implications.
NCT00131469
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of teriparatide (FORTEO), which is human parathyroid hormone 1-34, for increasing bone mass and improving bone structure in adults affected with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).

NCT01264718
The Kids' HELP trial rigorously documented that a Parent Mentor intervention results in multiple benefits: more children are insured faster, children's access to healthcare and parental satisfaction improve, quality of well-child care is enhanced, thousands of dollars are saved per child, jobs are created, disparities are eliminated, and the intervention potentially could save our nation billions of dollars.
NCT00511706
