NCT04613440
The purpose of this study is to assess an intervention that incorporates engagement strategies with a medical team navigator, an educational video and accessible genetic testing services to maximize the genetic testing and education of at-risk relatives. In this study, first degree relatives who agree to participate will either receive this intervention or standard of care. The investigators do not know if the facilitated interventional method will be more effective than the standard of care method. This research is being done because identification of patients with inherited gynecologic/breast cancer syndromes is critical to enable delivery of tailored cancer treatment and cancer prevention to both the patients and their at-risk relatives. Cascade genetic testing, defined as extending genetic testing to the family members of affected patients, results in a more precise risk assessment and initiation of appropriate cancer screening and prevention strategies. Therefore, this trial will compare the efficacy of a multicomponent facilitated intervention for first degree relatives vs. standard of care in terms of the overall proportion of first degree relatives who complete genetic testing by 6 months (primary outcome).
NCT07200128
This study is a secondary analysis of the Adelphi Real World Alopecia Areata II United States Disease Specific Programmes database. This database contains data from a cross-sectional study capturing linked physician and patient survey data for dermatologists who treat alopecia areata and patients diagnosed with alopecia areata in the United States. The retrospective analysis of these data will evaluate experiences of patients and dermatologists receiving/prescribing ritlecitinib for severe alopecia areata in the United States. Specifically, the study will describe characteristics of patients who received ritlecitinib for severe alopecia areata, including demographics, clinical characteristics at the time of starting ritlecitinib, and their alopecia areata-related treatment history. The study will also report dermatologist satisfaction with treatment and change in the patient's alopecia areata severity and disease activity from the start of ritlecitinib to different time points on treatment.
NCT03269422
The purpose of the study is to find out the feasibility and effects of ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy to the prostate and dominant lesion as definitive treatment for intermediate risk prostrate cancer.
NCT06373458
Keloids are common, benign cutaneous overgrowths that manifest clinically as raised, hypertrophic, often hyperpigmented lesions which are formed in response to dermal injury or idiopathic stimuli. Although keloids are a common disease, it's exact incidence and prevalence is not known. Despite the debilitating nature of keloids, current treatment modalities are limited in efficacy; there is no universally effective therapy available to patients. The research team hypothesize that ritlecitinib as a JAK3/TEC inhibitor will be able to reverse both the systemic and local keloid disease process by re-establishing immune homeostasis.
NCT06168669
Purpose: To validate the safety and effectiveness of xBar monitoring tool for detection of post-operative anastomotic leaks in subjects undergoing rectal/sigmoid resections with anastomosis. The clinical team is blinded to the leak detection of the xBar system.
NCT01982448
This is a phase II study randomizing patients with stage I with T1 \> 1.5 cm, stage II or III triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) to preoperative cisplatin versus paclitaxel. The study is designed to evaluate the ability of the Homologous Recombination Deficiency (HRD) assay to predict pathologic response to preoperative chemotherapy.
NCT05671835
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of oral daily administration of TTI-101 over a 12-week treatment duration in participants with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
NCT06039579
The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate the antiviral activity of orally administered VH4004280 and VH4011499 monotherapy over 10 days in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infected Treatment-Naïve (TN) participants.
NCT06625398
This is a clinical trial assessing the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of an investigational drug, VRDN-003, in participants with chronic Thyroid Eye Disease (TED).
NCT06625411
This is a clinical trial assessing the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of an investigational drug, VRDN-003, in participants with active Thyroid Eye Disease (TED).
NCT05693571
The goal of this observational (Aim 1) and pilot study (Aim 2) is to better understand how depression symptoms may contribute to how well adolescent and young adults with lupus follow-up with their lupus clinical care. The main questions the overall study attempts to answer are: 1. Whether anhedonia (a core symptom of depression) predicts disengagement in care 2. Whether a patient-tailored mobile health application built to improve both engagement in care and depression symptoms will be feasible and acceptable to adolescents and young adults with lupus. Participants with systemic lupus, ages 15-24 from the Bronx, New York will be asked to complete questionnaires; some will be asked to participate in focus groups to help adapt the mobile health app; participants will also be invited to join a pilot study to try the mobile health app for 6 months and answer questionnaires to document the experience.
NCT06056310
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tolerability and safety of Xevinapant when added to weekly cisplatin-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in the treatment of participants with unresectable locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, suitable for definitive chemoradiotherapy.
