HCC is a common cancer worldwide and a leading cause of cancer-related death. Lung cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in the world, and the leading cause of cancer deaths. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when ABBV-324 is given to adult participants to treat hepatocellular cancer (HCC) or squamous-cell non-small cell lung cancer (LUSC). ABBV-324 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of HCC and LUSC. Study doctors put the participants in groups called arms. Each arm receives ABBV-324 alone (monotherapy) or a comparator drug, lenvatinib followed by a safety follow-up period. Approximately 232 HCC or LUSC will be enrolled in the study in approximately 45 sites worldwide. In the dose escalation stage participants will be treated with increasing intravenous (IV) doses of ABBV-324 until the dose reached is tolerable and expected to be efficacious. In the dose optimization stage participants will receive ABBV-324, or a comparator of oral lenvatinib. The study will run for a duration of approximately 6.5 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects.

This is a 10-year multi-center, global, observational study to further characterize the safety profile of pegvaliase, including hypersensitivity reactions, long-term safety and tolerability, and the effectiveness of the additional risk minimization measures (aRMMs) (European Union (EU) only) in subjects receiving pegvaliase for the treatment of PKU. Subjects for whom a clinical decision has been made that they will receive pegvaliase to treat their PKU within 30 days following the date of enrollment (incident-users) or have previously started treatment with pegvaliase at the date of enrollment (prevalent-users) are eligible for participation in this study.

Among critically ill adults undergoing emergency tracheal intubation, one in five experience hypotension, cardiac arrest, or death. The sedatives used to rapidly induce anesthesia for emergency tracheal intubation have been hypothesized to effect cardiovascular complications and patient outcomes, but the optimal sedative medication for intubation of critically ill adults remains unknown. Ketamine and etomidate are the two most commonly used sedatives during intubation of critically ill adults. Data from a randomized clinical trial are urgently needed to determine the effect of ketamine versus etomidate on cardiovascular complications and clinical outcomes of emergency tracheal intubation.

This is a Phase 2 multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study that will evaluate the safety and efficacy of host-directed therapeutics in hospitalized adults diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) utilizing a platform trial design. Participants will be randomized to receive either a placebo or one of the active treatments. This record describes the default procedures and analyses for all cohorts. This study is comprised of three separate pharmacogenetic trials grouped into a single protocol due to similarities in the intervention, the hypotheses, and the trial design. The three trials are the Acute Pain Trial, the Chronic Pain Trial, and the Depression Trial. Participants can enroll in only one of the three trials. The investigators will test the hypothesis that pharmacogenetic testing and genotype guided pain management therapy improves pain control after surgery in participants who's body processes some pain medicines slower than normal. Chronic Pain Trial: A prospective, multicenter, two arm randomized pragmatic trial. Participants meeting eligibility criteria will be randomly assigned to either immediate pharmacogenetic testing and genotype-guided opioid therapy (Intervention arm) or standard care with 6-month delayed pharmacogenetic testing (Control arm). The investigators will test the hypothesis that pharmacogenetic testing and genotype guided pain therapy improves pain control after surgery in participants who's body processes some pain medicines slower than normal. Depression: A prospective, multicenter, two arm randomized pragmatic trial. Participants meeting eligibility criteria will be randomly assigned to either immediate pharmacogenetic testing and genotype-guided anti-depressant therapy (Intervention arm) or standard care with 6-month delayed pharmacogenetic testing (Control arm). The investigators will test the hypothesis that pharmacogenetic testing and genotype-guided anti-depressant therapy will reduce depression symptoms in participants who's body processes some anti-depressants faster or slower than normal.

Pediatric acute kidney injury (AKI) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients. Currently, understanding of the epidemiology and diagnosis of AKI in children is limited by single center retrospective data and inconsistent diagnostic and stratification criteria. The hypotheses of the AWARE study is that 1) renal angina, a composite of early injury signs and risk of disease, will predict severe subsequent AKI in critically ill children and 2) the incorporation of urinary biomarkers into the renal angina scoring system will improve the prediction of the severe injury. The AWARE study is conducted to describe AKI epidemiology in a heterogeneous multinational cohort of critically ill children, characterize AKI risk factors and associated morbidity, and validate the KDIGO AKI criteria as a predictor of pediatric AKI outcomes. The multi-center, multi-national registry will create the largest ever repository of information available on AKI in children.

The goal of this study is to determine how safe and effective it is to improve hair growth by applying a serum daily on the scalp of men and women with thinning hair. The main aims of this trial are: 1. To confirm using photographic analysis, changes in the quality, volume, and thickness of hair. 2. To gauge patient satisfaction with hair changes and application process. 3. Monitor and report any adverse events associated with the daily usage of Xtressé serum. Participants who qualify will complete 7 visits after voluntary consent has been given. Participants will be given 9 bottles of serum to use during the study. The product will be applied daily over a 9-month period. Photographs and scalp analysis will be performed at each visit to measure changes in hair volume, thickness, and growth. Participants will complete a survey in the middle and at the end of the study.
